I have been very satisfied with my care from Bluebird Care Leeds North. My carer is always prompt, even though having to travel by public transport. I can depend on her to provide the care needed for my comfort and safety. She is reliable which is a definite asset.

I have used Bluebird carers for my mum, who is in a residential care home. I have found my contact professional, sympathetic, supportive, and open to tailoring the service to my mum's needs. My mum has two carers who have visited the home on organised days, to either give companionship or a day out
for coffee. Both carers are professional in their approach and give my mum a friendly, fun time. I would recommend Bluebird carers to others, for the kind of service they offer, it gives families peace of mind that their relatives are cared for. The reports online are a useful source of information on how the visit has gone.

The change in timing for visits appears to be working well. The Bluebird now helps Mum with her evening meal. Mum is adjusting to the new arrangements and the meal delivery service. Mum is now having 2 visits a day - one from the meal provider and one from the Bluebird. Mum is getting increasingly forgetful
and needs more support with household tasks.

Very good communication through the online record of visits and phone calls if carers are concerned about anything.
All carers are friendly, helpful, and sympathetic.
My mother-in-law has visits from many different carers and at different times each day, which may not be convenient or helpful for
some people's needs.

The majority of carers are very kind, and attentive and do the job well. However, I find it frustrating that new carers keep being introduced who don't know my wife, her needs, and where things are kept. It would be better if any new carers shadowed a regular carer before being left on their own.

I feel that Bluebird Care treat my mum with a high level of care and friendship but also has a laugh with her on their visits. She had gone to bed one night when the carer arrived and when she heard her voice she got out of bed and came downstairs very quickly. This carer also sits with her sometimes
watching TV where they critique programmes together which she loves. On the occasions when Mum has not been well, they always do a sterling job of cleaning up after her. Mum has short-term memory issues and she can't remember their names but she definitely recognises their voices and she seems to love them all which I think is reciprocated by the carers themselves.
I feel comfortable knowing Bluebird is looking after my mum.

Excellent service provided by Bluebird Care.
All the carers who attend are very pleasant and professional.
The client has dementia and is bedridden and can be difficult to deal with (mood swings) sometimes however she always responds well to one carer who treats her with empathy and dignity. He has
built a lovely rapport with her and she's always in a good mood when he leaves!
Close family use the online application to monitor her care - again, this is very good as notes are uploaded after every visit.
The staff are very approachable and are always helpful in discussing and agreeing our needs and any changes to the service they provide.
Very happy customer.

Bluebird Care has been absolutely fantastic in helping my parents come home from hospital. They were so proactive, helpful, kind, organised and practical in organising the house so that a live-in carer could move in, allowing my parents to come home. I can't praise them enough. The live-in carers are
fantastic. My mum is thriving now. My dad is coming home tomorrow and the carer will take care of both of them. It takes a huge weight off my mind as I live 200 miles away. I'm really grateful to the team at Bluebird.

Very disappointing service. We contacted Bluebird South Leeds to support my mum at home after surgery. Contact was easy and the positive response was swift. Service started the day after the home visit and care needs assessment. They said they could deliver what Mum asked for. Five hours after the
first morning visit they contacted us to say that the original carer was no longer available, that the agreed hours would have to change and that only male carers were available on weekends and evenings, contrary to Mum's wishes. None of this was said prior to the service starting. Mum was upset and we had no alternative but to cancel, with no time to make alternative arrangements. We feel strung along and then let down at the very last minute. Think twice before using Bluebird Care.

I have found that the personal care, that is help with bathing, provided to my daughter has been excellent over these past fourteen months. My daughter tends to be a very anxious person, so I was pleased to see she soon became relaxed about the usual carer helping her. The carer has established a good
rapport with her and with me also.

On the whole, I find the Bluebird Care service absolutely fine, they show care and respect when assisting my mother and her daily needs. They keep to schedule as close as possible and are always polite, they check that my mother has taken her prescribed medication.
I believe the service could be improved
if they could send regular carers who would start to know my Mother's needs better, than currently as there seem to be many different carers visiting.

The carers are very caring but would like them to be able to do more variety of food and would like the same carers as my mother is getting too many different carers as my mother can tell them what she needs but can’t show them where things are as unable to walk.

We understand that a variety of foods is important both for your mother's nutritional needs and enjoyment. I've had a chat with you and your mother. We've arranged a meeting to discuss your mother's likes and dislikes. We will work together to develop a menu with a variety of meals that carers can make in the future. Your mother has four calls a day, seven days a week. Were aiming to have a core team of six carers to cover all the visits. Unfortunately, we may need to bring in additional carers to help cover holidays and sickness. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.
