I've been a client with Cheltenham Home Instead for around 6 months now and there is only one word to describe my carers ' Excellent'. They are kind and have a great sense of humour, nothing is too much trouble. They all come in with a smile it's a pleasure to have them visit.

Booking is never so easy. The cancellation window of 2 weeks is probably too short.
Carers are very good but sometimes the quality of cleaning isn't the highest. Other care is usually excellent.

Home Instead looked after my aunt with a level of care and dedication that you would be hard pushed to find elsewhere. They dedicated their time to ensuring she could remain at home, cooking, cleaning and doing anything required to ensure she lived in a dignified way. When the time came for her to leave
us, you could see that the team who cared for her were visibly upset. That loving and caring environment is what makes Home Instead top class. Thanks.

From the moment I contacted Home Instead on the phone, I was confident I had made the right choice. A first meeting was made to suit my travel arrangements, everything was explained fully and our needs and requests were readily met. The carers who came to help my sister were without fail friendly, helpful
and very professional. Even though their help covered quite a short time, all the carers became more like friends to my sister. I felt that they all understood the background to her illness and showed a real understanding about her needs and how best to fulfil them and care for her in a thoughtful and understanding way.
For me, my niece and other sisters, Home Instead gave us a sense of support and shared responsibility at a time when we were worried and concerned about our sister's health. I really cannot praise everyone too highly and thoroughly recommend Home Instead to everyone.

We couldn't be more pleased with the care given to our family members by Home Instead. We've had some difficulties with changes in the level of care needed, hospital stays etc and everyone involved has been very accommodating.
Due to distances, it's hard for the family to visit often enough for our
parents' needs but we know they're in good hands.
We very much appreciate the level of care and communication from the manager, which have both been outstanding.

The whole family appreciates the care and attention provided for Mum by the ladies from Home Instead. They have been visiting twice a week for two years ever since Mum started with slight dementia, difficulties walking and caring for herself. The day always starts off with laughter and Mum and Dad look
forward to their visits. All are smart, reliable, caring and competent, and what is very important is that they are good fun. They are also quick to spot anything that might need checking by the district nurse. We are grateful for their efficiency and their cheerful attitude.

It is so nice to have a real meal traditionally cooked and tasting as it should. The staff knew what they were about and quickly found where everything was and had no problems making a meal. They had no problems with a strange kitchen and the equipment in it. Overall, an excellent start to the beginning

My wife has been receiving care from Home Instead for over two and a half years. During that time, I have built up a good relationship with a variety of carers. All have been professional and caring in a situation that has complex needs, as my wife is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's.
On the administrative
side, carers who run the office have always been flexible and responsive to a situation that has required adaptation over time.
We have been fortunate to find a caring agency that has responded so personally to our needs.

Having suffered from Parkinson’s for several years, I had a spell at Christmas 2023 of respite care. As I live on my own, returning home was a move I couldn’t have made without the provision of care provided by Home Instead. Daily visits by their caregivers have subsequently made it possible to live
and thrive in my own home.

The carers are very professional and friendly. I find it difficult to cope with blanks on my schedule and not knowing who will be helping me on that morning, especially when two arrive instead of the person I was expecting without notice.

Overall I am very happy with the service Home Instead provide. All of the carers/managers are lovely and do an excellent job. Occasionally, this does not work out but I think this is down to the carer and what they want to do.
If you have had issues with carers before it might be helpful to let the
client know and the reasons so all parties are aware and something could be put in place to reduce stress. Better communication is vital so all parties are clear about the rules and boundaries expected in the home.

The whole team were excellent from the admin staff right through to the carers. Response times were good, I felt that they worked hard to get to know Mum as a person, and they were proactive in all areas. I would thoroughly recommend them.
