Since we have been using Helping Hands, we have found the care to be excellent. The communication with the team/management is very good and are always willing to help. Any issues are addressed straight away and updates are provided in a timely manner. The company is flexible with having to change visits
at short notice and suggestions are forthcoming to make the care of my father more comfortable.

Helping Hands Home Care, thank you so much for all of the help you are giving my mum. The carers are always friendly, caring and very professional. My mum enjoys their visits and a chat. The office staff are always helpful if I need to phone about anything. It is peace of mind to know that there is
always a carer going to visit my mum morning and night. Thank you.

We have found Helping Hands to be extremely professional. They have provided excellent care and my dad really enjoys their visits. They are happy to administer medication and have even suggested extra support if they see a need. Currently they are invaluable in keeping dad safe in his own home.

Helping hands have improved the quality of my elderly dad's life since receiving their care. He has built up relationships with the staff. Recently, due to the quick action of the supervisor, expedited his admission to hospital following a fall and a long lie outside, we experienced the expertise. Her
actions whilst waiting for the ambulance surely saved his life. I cannot be more grateful.
The flexibility and accommodation of his needs has been exemplary since his return home. The team liaise well with the PICs team and due to this collaboration means dad can remain at home and recover.
This service I cannot recommend enough. The team deserve recognition and high praise as I know he is being well looked after and this puts my mind at ease.

As acting Power of Attorney for a lady originally from Thailand on behalf of her step children, where I needed the help of a care agency as her husband passed away earlier this year. With health issues and unable to read English, she was not taking her medication or visits to the doctor and dentist.
Helping Hands Home Care were superb in helping with emergency medical appointments, regular carer visits morning and evening , the lady looked forward to their visits and chats which made her life more enjoyable.
Easy to call Helping Hands day or night if needed.
I was so lucky in finding such an amazing company.

My elderly mother passed away mid December 2024. I have nothing but praise for all mums carers and and Ferndown management team. They all went out of their way to look after her and keep her happy, especially in the last few months of her life. She so looked forward to their visits. Visits were often
arranged last minute and with no problems. The team who took care of her on the evening/night mum passed away stayed to keep me company, ensuring I wasn't on my own until the following morning.
Thank you to everyone at Helping Hands Home Care. Always someone to care.

Helping Hands have been caring for my dad since the end of last year. The staff have always been caring, kind and patient with him.
It has made all the difference in his life and has enabled him to stay in his own home. He really enjoys their visits and chats.
After a hospital admission at the beginning
of the year, it was possible to increase the visits until Dad felt well enough to be more independent.
After an accident at home 2 weeks ago when conditions were extreme, Dad was given amazing care and was taken to hospital for treatment. Without the quick thinking and care given by the helping hands team, the situation would have been very different.
I cannot praise the team enough for their high standard of care and flexibility. Communication with them has been fantastic and she has managed to support Dad's increased needs since discharge.
Helping Hands have given my sister and me the peace of mind that my dad is in safe and caring hands with the team.

We have recently arranged for Helping Hands to provide care for my mum who lives in her own flat and is very frail. From our initial meeting to assess Mum's needs, to find out what she likes, to her regular visits, everyone has shown such kindness, professionalism and attention to Mum's ongoing care.
She
really looks forward to her carers twice a day, feeling very at ease, and she has a good routine now with help for those tasks she finds difficult now. It is such piece of mind for me too, knowing that she looks forward to her visits, her chats and they treat her with such kindness and respect.
Thank you so much, I am so very pleased we chose Helping Hands, and would not hesitate to recommend you all there.

We have had very good and reliable support for our Mum. She has not had much, one or two visits a week, but it has been very good. Well organised, good communication and the carer herself was delightful.

The carer arrived on time and we immediately started talking and sharing information about ourselves.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and I explained what I would like the carer to do on this visit. I'm sure the extra help and company will be very welcome each week. I think the carer is flexible enough
to fit in with my needs which may vary according to my health.

My mum gets good care from Helping Hands overall. Although more mature carers seem to give a better service and show more care than the young ones. I think more training is needed for younger, new carers. I am an ex-manager/trainer in retail and know your staff are only as good as their training!
Also,
think that there are times when my mother doesn't get her full 45 minutes care! Which is not good! (My mother has Alzheimer's disease).

We have had a number of carers over time. They have always been timely, courteous and mindful of our changing needs, especially over the period of the pandemic, as we were shielding. They have responded well to occasional changes to our schedule.

My mum has only lovely things to say about the care she is receiving from Helping Hands. They go the extra mile within the time frame they have been given for the visit. It has taken the stress away knowing my mum is being cared for, looked after by an excellent team and who can be relied on coming
in on a set time and day.

The care and service provided by a member of staff and her team has been very good throughout. They have helped us and my parents out extremely well, in what has been a very difficult time. A number of the carers are very popular with my parents, one in particular. With my mother’s development of dementia
and my father’s old age we have found a member of staff and her team to be reliable and very supportive in both the care that they provide to my parents as well as helpful in sorting various arrangements out.

New to Helping Hands Home Care (Christchurch & Bournemouth) from March 2021, having previously received care for my wife for 25 years. Very caring carers with an excellent manager who is well respected by her team. The manager is outstanding and has been keen to ensure my wife's needs are well met by
"leading from the front" and making sure her care team are fully trained and competent to deal with my wife's complex issues. Areas below that are marked good as opposed to excellent are because carers have been learning about their new client, but there are no concerns.

A friendly service with regular carers (as far as possible). Local office aways willing to change work days and times, providing notice is given.
I have experience of an alternative caring company, thus mental comparisons could be made.
