My mother used Blossom Homecare for almost two years, wishing to remain in her own home for as long as possible. This was achieved by having visits from Blossom carers, scaled up over time to meet her needs. We can only give the highest praise for the care she received, many of the carers forming personal
bonds with my mother. When your visit overlaps with that of a carer, and you see mother's face light up when the carer arrives, you know things are going well! The visits were always within a few minutes of the allotted time, and 50-minute visits means a lot can be achieved. When changes to the level of care were required, we found it easy to discuss our needs with Blossom managers and then see the changes put into place promptly. We did have some prior experience of the care sector within our family and used this when choosing Blossom Homecare for our mother. We were not disappointed. Highly recommended. Thank you for the excellent care provided.

Thank you so much Blossom Home Care for the excellent care and support you and your team delivered to my aunt during what was to be her last few months of life. She was initially very reluctant to accept any care whatsoever but soon warmed to the care team around her. She wanted to remain in her own
home until the end and that is what the team were able to do. Not only did you support my aunt but you also supported my sister and I. You were a listening ear when we were down and always prepared to offer alternative flexible solutions to our problems. You are a wonderful, genuinely caring, efficient and friendly team who is prepared to go above and beyond to ensure the recipient is well looked after whilst still being able to remain in their own home. My family are so grateful to you all.

A wonderful service from excellent, caring staff who enabled my aunt to stay in her own home during the summer months. A meeting was held with the management staff first, who conducted a full review of needs before organising an appropriate level of care. All staff were thorough in their work, providing
high-quality, professional care, keeping the home clean and tidy and providing a variety of meals. Staff kept a good level of contact with the family to enable an exchange of communication regarding daily updates and varying needs.
My aunt enjoyed their company, and they made her happy, comfortable, secure and safe in her own home.

Since starting with Blossom Care in May 2023 my mum and myself have been very happy with the service provided. The ladies are prompt, very attentive to Mum and her needs - even taking her out with the dog for a walk and spending time looking at family photos with her!
Mum is always happy and content
after the carers have been and it means a lot to myself and my brother, knowing that Mum is in such good hands when we are not there. Having 50-minute calls is great and the care she receives is superb - Thank you to all the carers!

Blossom Home Care Durham looked after my father twice a day. They showered, shaved, wash and dressed him and generally kept him looking and smelling spick and span. We didn’t ask them to do his meals but I know of someone who did have that service and it was exemplary. All the carers treat him with
great respect and they came to love him. I know it’s a strong word but that’s what I felt. My father was taken into hospital and they called to see how he was regularly. Unfortunately, he now needs 24-hour care and has gone into a care home but I felt that the care given by Blossom Home Care could not be bettered and I would recommend this firm to all.

I would highly recommend Blossom Home Care to anyone. They have looked after my mum since the end of 2020 and from the management, staff in the office to all the wonderful carers that have looked after her, they have all been great. My mum who has Alzheimer’s, built up a great relationship with a lot
of the carers and called them her ‘friends’. They really do care and if worried about her would contact us and even stay longer (when they could) until one of us arrived. She loved her chats, singing and dancing and walks with them and looked forward to whoever was coming in to see her. Great company with wonderful staff. Looking for a home care company around Barnard Castle, I would not look past them.

I wouldn’t let this company look after a pet rat. If you love your family please don’t use this company they don’t cook for them, shave them, bathe them. They went over the family heads and their wishes Blossom Home Care Durham and gave him a covid jab.
55 min for staff to sit on their backside. Your
loved ones have a right to be washed, dressed, bath, shave and help to feed. If you want this for your loved one this isn’t the company for you. They will tell you the story how good they are. Trust me lies lies lies. The manager thinks they need her more than the family’s she lies. Trust me don’t use this company.

Overall, the care my mum get has been excellent. The only thing I feel is that common sense has been replaced by health and safety, which can be very frustrating. Mum has two carers now, and if one carer is delayed, the other carer has to wait until the other one arrives, which is very frustrating and
a waste of valuable time. For every minute a carer is delayed means that the client loses two minutes of precious care.

Regarding carers waiting for a second carer before entering the property, we do understand your frustrations. However this is for the safety of your mum and our carers and, as a regulated service, we do have to follow the guidelines detailed as part of the care plan.


In regards to your concern in terms of less minutes of care being delivered, we do daily monitoring and do a secondary weekly check of this to ensure we are delivering the care package as it should be delivered. For your peace of mind, we have also conducted some further, in-depth analysis, into your mum's package and discussed this over the phone with you this afternoon, which cleared your concerns.

From day one in November 2021 to now, the Blossoms Home Care team are second to none. From the initial interview and gathering of information, they have shown care and diligence towards my mum in mid-stage dementia. The team are excellent, and Mum looks forward to their visits where they do the necessary
personal care and carry out necessary housework to ensure Mum is in a safe place. They spend time with her giving her plenty of varied social interaction. They do not hurry and rush from one client to the next, so you feel valued as a client. I have peace of mind and trust in them to support my mum.
I particularly like their "care app", which allows me to log in to see how the visit has progressed and if any issues have occurred. They have, on occasion, gone out of their way to phone me on some medical issues, which I value. I have no hesitation in recommending Blossoms Home Care to any potential client. Every care organisation should be managed like this. Thank you so much.

Blossom Home Care Durham looked after my paralysed wife and they were brilliant with her very professional and caring towards her. She was very complex client but nothing was a problem to the carers or office staff they made life better for my wife and me. Only wish I had heard of them when she first

The care shown to my mum has been exceptional. Everyone I have dealt with has offered a very friendly, caring and professional service. My family are very pleased with the care provided to our mother. The staff are professional, friendly and caring, and they treat my mother with kindness, consideration and respect, as well as making time to have a chat; she looks forward to their visits. The carers provide my mother with the care she
needs and us with the support we need. Communication is excellent between the agency and us, with updates after every visit. We would not hesitate to recommend the service.

The ladies from Blossom Home Care are excellent and have developed a real rapport with my friend. He is hard of hearing, not very mobile and can be cantankerous when he wants to be. However, over time, they have managed to build a relationship with him which enables him to receive the care he requires
in the timescale available.
I can only thank them for their hard work and perseverance as a challenging individual.

Blossom Home Care, alongside the District Nursing team, provided a home care package for my wife during the short period that she was at home, prior to her death on 6th March 2022. This was arranged by the Palliative Care team at Durham University Hospital after she had spent over 2 months in various
wards in four different hospitals in Darlington and Co. Durham. Blossom was thoroughly professional and all the staff involved were genuinely extremely caring, efficient and helpful in all respects, doing what could only be described as a stressful, difficult and, at times unpleasant job. I would recommend Blossom Home Care to anyone requiring assistance in caring for an ill or elderly patient in their own home environment.
