Lovely company, great staff.
All the staff are so friendly kind and caring
They look after my our dad an make him smile and laugh each and every day, the staff know our dad so well, they know all his likes dislikes, they always go above and beond. They are always going the extra mile.
When we
have a issue staff are happy to help an if needs to be taken up with office staff they go out of their way to help.
I would highly recomend to anybody who ask

My niece has lived at Woodvale for three years, the carers are very supportive of her on a daily basis and especially during times of illness. They support her with her personal care, shopping and medication and also support her with attending medical appointments, with cleaning her flat and preparing
her meals.
There are activities in communal areas which she enjoys attending and likes making friends with the other residents. She is very happy living there and I am reassured she is in a very safe environment.

Reply from Lauren Aitken, Registered Manager at Valley Care North Nottinghamshire

My late husband was a cancer sufferer. He fought the disease incredibly well for 4 years. However the last 6 months of his life things became very difficult. I had been looking after him myself but I found I could no longer cope. After a short stay in hospital my husband came home to a hospital bed
in our front room. He had chosen to die at home, and this was only made possible by the incredibly staff from Valley Care. They would call 4 times a day to help with my husband's needs. They were so professional, treated my husband with the upmost respect and dignity. Nothing was too trouble for them , they came out in all weather's to get to us. They always had a smile on their faces and I could hear them laughing and joking with my husband on good days, and holding his hand and comforting him on bad days. It wasn't just my husband they lent a shoulder to cry on but me as well when things got really tough. Even in death my husband was treated with the upmost respect. Highly recommend this wonderful company.

Thankyou. No words can express how it feels to loose someone so special. The girls all loved the time they spent getting to know your husband and the laughs that were shared, he truly was a magnificent man.

The girls used to go into apply cream to my grandads legs and put on his stockings. He absolutely loved having them all he says he had such a laugh with them and they made him feel at ease and reassured that everything was OK. He has since had his other hip done and now his 2 weeks of care has finished
he is going back to valley care again in the next couple of weeks.
His words" lovely girls".

I can't thank a particular staff member and her team enough and without them my mum wouldn't have been discharged from hospital so quickly and to be honest we would have struggled to give her the care she needed during her recovery.
My mum broke her hip and my step father had just come out of hospital
after being a kidney donor to my brother in law so to have Valley care come in within 48 hours of asking them was a game changer.
The staff who came in were amazing, cheerful, singing and nothing was too much trouble. My mum was stressed and worried and the team immediately put her mind at ease. Their care was amazing and my family and I will always be grateful for them.

Reply from Victoria Woolley, Registered Manager at Valley Care Derbyshire

After a rocky start with Mum's care. Some adjustments and us all working together. I must say the carers at Valley Care were fantastic. The manager who helped to liaise with others to give my Mum the care package needed. The girls and management went above and beyond to help.
I would recommend it to
others.

The standard of care has been exemplary. It has taken a little while for us to establish the best use of the times we have agreed to, but I think by the end of December we were really starting to see benefits.
We are currently on a pause while my wife is in hospital, but I hope that when she returns
home we will quickly be able to build on what has gone before.

Valley Care have been covering for my weekend and holiday cover and they do an excellent job, the client isn't easy to deal with but the carers take it all in their stride and are professional at all times, they cover at very short notice if something crops up and I can't get to the client, I would
and do recommend the care company to anyone who needs professional help.
Well done guys.

Valley Care Sheffield

from A S (Relative of Client) published on 7 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5

Extremely poor management. At the start, when they want your business, promises are made that will absolutely not be kept. These people know that clients don't like or do well with change and so all they have to do is get you on the hook. It's all false advertising in the beginning and then reality
hits just as your loved one gets used to the numerous new faces. Carers coming and going as they like and doing the absolute bare minimum. If there is a minimal amount of snow, they often won't turn up at all and you won't hear a word from management. The manager rarely reads, let alone answers messages and when she decides she no longer needs your business, because she has a new contract with the council for other business, she gives you 2 working days notice, despite promising you numerous times that this would not be the case. It's a disgrace that these people can claim to be caring and allowed to work with vulnerable people, who not only depend upon them but also pay for their services.

Reply from Maura Duggan, Registered Manager at Valley Care Sheffield

Really sorry to hear your view on the care we provided, but we went above and beyond to support with the package, the manager attended calls herself when no staff were available that suited the needs of the service user. Communication was regular and when we lost the area it was not a case of handing back the calls, it was a case we did not have the carers in the area to provide the regular care support needed.

Carer after carer just doing their own thing despite having the Care Plan on their phones.
Just want to get in and out of the call as quickly as they can and do as little as they can.
Many reports made to office and nothing changes. No response to email complaints and I feel I'm now just labelled
as a moaner rather than a concerned family member looking after my mums wellbeing.
My mum pays in full for these visits and it's just not good enough.

Reply from Maura Duggan, Registered Manager at Valley Care Sheffield

Really sorry to hear your concerns raised, I have been working on carers to stay full time, been out with new carers to show them what needs to be completed. We now have a regular carer in place that the family have sent in positive feedback for.

The company changed over yesterday and I have rang numerous times because the carers haven't turned up. I get that when a company switches over there are teething problems but surely they have to do their homework as it's vulnerable people at risk. Absolutely disgusted with the service over the last
couple of days. We put people in the care of others because we should trust them to care for our loved ones. In this case, it's not so. If by the end of the week, things don't improve we will definitely be changing and I will log a complaint to whoever is above these people.

Reply from Maura Duggan, Registered Manager at Valley Care Sheffield

We are very sorry to hear that this has been your experience over the first couple of days of transfer. We are actively working with all clients and families to ensure that call times can be checked against the information the company has received from the previous provider. We aim to accommodate as much as possible. We would like the opportunity to speak more about any concerns, please do contact the office on 0114 3080 843.
