Acqua Doria has been looking after for several years now. My mum and I have found them to be very reliable, very flexible and very professional. It is always easy to get some advice and make contact with someone who knows what they are talking about.

We have been using Acqua Doria to care for my mother in her own home for the past year. The standard of care has been excellent: carers are friendly and professional and are genuinely concerned about the well-being of the client. They are prompt to inform me (client's son) of any issues and are proactive
in taking the necessary action to resolve them. The senior staff are quick to suggest ways of making Mum's life more satisfying and interesting for her. Overall we are delighted with the service provided.

My late parents both received excellent care for around 15 years between them, Acqua Doria where known to Mum as her Angels, providing excellent person-centred care at all times, very professional, showed respect and dignity, nothing was too much trouble for them, mum had Parkinson's and remained in
bed for quite a few years and dad developed dementia, all cares were well trained and always had a smile and kind word. I know if it had not been for their care mum and dad would not have been able to stay in the family home to the end of their lives, we as a family cannot thank them enough.

I cannot fault the palliative care that the wonderful staff from Acqua Doria provided during my father's short spell at home before his death in February 2024. We had two carers four times a day and they were never less than 100% reliable, always keeping us informed as to who and when the next carers
would be. It was immensely reassuring to us to have such knowledgeable carers; they knew exactly what care and equipment Dad needed and were able to quickly and efficiently source exactly what they needed. They made sure that Dad always maintained his dignity and always kept us informed as to what was happening, leaving us to get on with making sure that Dad was able to take his leave of friends and family without us having to worry about his health care.
We were very moved by the fact that Dad's two main carers asked to come to the funeral.

Mum had to start having carers because of her dementia, she would often forget to take her medication. She could be quite stubborn sometimes, refusing to have a wash or get dressed but most of the carers had a way of getting around this with a bit of gentle persuasion. I was always kept informed if
mum wasn't feeling right or if she'd had a fall, she got on with all of the carers, she was quite happy to have a chat rather than get washed or dressed sometimes so the carers would just sit and have a chat with her instead.

Acqua Doria home carers took such good care of my father for well over two years. Every home visit was an event he could look forward to, as the care team brought him daily comfort and kindness when he had so little else to enjoy, being housebound and then bedbound. The carers provided a wide range
of services from personal care to meals to laundry to prescription medicines. Super professional, the family have nothing but praise for the care that dad received. Highly recommended.

After Dad returned home, the way the care team have treated him has been excellent. It is reassuring that the care team are looking in on him and making sure he is ok. My dad is gaining confidence as a result which has seen him venture out to the communal room and socialise more.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Acqua Doria Ltd is based on 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4.5
