The presence of male trainee care workers may be a point of discomfort for some service users, particularly if you are not used to seeing as many as you may have done over the previous few weeks. It is essential for Agincare to ensure that all staff members, regardless of gender, are trained adequately and sensitively in providing personal care. I apologise for any discomfort caused during this period of time. It is completely valid to express concerns regarding the quality of care for your wife and I appreciate your feedback. I will raise your concern at the next care staff meeting and offer additional training to anybody who feels they require improvement.

We were aware of your concerns raised at the time which were acknowledged and responded to in a timely manner according to our complaints policy. I can confirm a full assessment was carried out with you and your wife documenting your preferences relating to the care and support you required following your 6 weeks of reablement which is funded until a full assessment is carried out. We would like to apologise for any errors in communication that may have occurred following the referral process from the Hospital Discharge team. We proudly work alongside them to make these transitions as smooth as possible by both organisations. We appreciate that it can be a difficult time with a large amount of information given in a short period. Both teams do try to ensure that communication is clear at all stages and are sorry for any confusion or shortfall on this occasion.

Joined: 2023
Kelli joined the Weymouth branch as a Registered Manager in April 2023 and has previously been a Registered Manager for Dorchester, with 21 years of experience working in care.
Kelli took on a Registered Manager role for the Dorchester branch in 2004 and stayed with the branch as manager until 2006. Since then, Kelli has managed several care homes and domiciliary care, including dementia care and has previously worked in Recruitment and Compliance. Over the years, Kelli has gained many qualifications such as ILM Level 3, NVQ3, NVQ4 and LMA.
Kelli's passion for care was sparked by her mother, who worked as an Auxiliary Nurse. Many weekends would consist of Kelli's mother taking her to work with her at the nursing homes, which is where Kelli started her first care role at the age of 16.
