Allcare have a great set of employees who always go out of their way to ensure that my parents are looked after in an exemplary fashion. Their attention to detail is impressive and communications with me have always been excellent, with concerns being shared when necessary about the health of my parents.
They are always able to put a smile on my mum's face, even after being bed bound with MS for over 5 years I still hear them all having a laugh when they're helping her with personal care and looking after her generally. They "get" both of my parents and I can say without a doubt that I trust them wholeheartedly with the care that they provide. Even throughout the covid crisis too they have been super safe, extremely vigilant and very understanding. Their honesty is also unquestionable and they've always kept us in the loop, even if some conversations can be difficult. They don't skirt around the issue and will have a frank and open discussion. The carers working for Allcare rock!

Our Shrewsbury team have been visiting your mother for quite a few years and I know how well they get on with your mum and dad. Can I take this opportunity to thank you for your support and understanding of Allcare. Sometimes we can't always do things exactly how the service users or family think it should be done, often this is for safety reasons. Our philosophy is not that something can't be done, but how can it be done differently and safely. It has been a difficult year for our staff, they continued to deliver care throughout the pandemic not only putting their own health at risk but possibly that of their own family, they also carry the burden of accidentally passing it on to vulnerable people they were trying to protect. Happily, not one of our clients has contracted coronavirus. Thank you again, I will make sure all the staff who visit receive a copy of your review.

Allcare have cared for my father who has Alzheimer’s, Diabetes and a Stoma. Their carers are amazing, they do their duties which are arranged through the assistant manager. They are caring and thoughtful. If I have any concerns these are dealt with quickly and efficiently. They give medication through
the day, wash and cream body, change and wash bedding and clothes. I find my dad likes them and they always have time to have a chat with him. I highly recommend them.

Allcare provide a fantastic service. All the staff are friendly and helpful and they prepare lovely meals (breakfast, lunch and tea), keep on top of house chores and help fix the TV and mobile phone when needed! Thank you!

Allcare have been absolutely fabulous with my mother in law who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. They attend every lunchtime and prepare her a hot meal, they also make her a sandwich for the evening, they administer her medication and eye drops that she forgets to do herself. As I work full time
and am only able to visit once weekly it gives me peace of mind to know that she is having a meal each day as she was forgetting to eat before the care went into her. All of the ladies that visit her are extremely professional and chat to her about everyday things they are all very caring and understanding of her needs, They contact me if there any problems or concerns and are always easy to talk too. I would certainly recommend this agency to anyone who wants to feel reassured that their family member or friend is having the best possible care and experience available. Thank you to each and every one of you.

My son has had care from Allcare for several years and we cannot praise their dedication and professionalism too highly. Staff are all friendly and exceptionally well trained and have supported us through some difficult times. We always know when they are due and can rely on them at all times. They
treat all the family with understanding and respect and ensure their care is always the best by constantly updating their assessments. Having dealt with a range of care providers with other family members, I appreciate how lucky we are to have them for all our son's care. Thank you Allcare.

My mum has been receiving visits from Allcare staff for some time up until recently. The visits were increased to 3 times a day around 3 months ago when she was discharged from hospital to home with palliative care. I had previously met a number of the carers who came to help with morning and evening
care but I didn’t have a lot of contact with them. However, in the 3 months since the terminal diagnosis, my aunt and I have got to know the carers well. They have all been very kind and professional with regards to Mum's care. They have also been a great support to my dad and other family members. I personally would like to thank Allcare and everyone who has looked after Mum over the past few years. Your kindness, professionalism and support has been really appreciated.

I have been a service user of Allcare for a good few years now. They are 'brilliant', they take wonderful care of me so I can stay in my own home. Suddenly my old care providers finished, I didn't know what was going to happen, but I was put at ease when Allcare took me on. They have done everything
for me. I am quite a complex case, things change overnight sometimes, but this is dealt with straight away. I and my family have no issues with the care I receive. They stimulate me letting me know what's going on in the outside. I don't know what I would do without them.

I know it won’t be new to them because you have always sung their praises and let them know how well they do, what you do and say makes a sometimes difficult job that bit easier. Our experience with all of the Allcare staff that visit our home have been really satisfying, they are all very friendly, caring and professional, we don't think we could get better carer's anywhere else. And the office staff are friendly and polite and most helpful.

After many years of independent living, my mother in law recently realised that she needed some assistance from a carer. She was understandably a bit anxious about setting up such an arrangement but was reassured within minutes of the initial set up meeting and has been completely satisfied since then.
The carers are professional, hardworking and friendly. They keep in regular contact with me and my husband to make us aware of any issues but use common sense and initiative to sort out most things. The administrative arrangements are consistently good; we know when and who is coming and on the odd occasion when things have had to be changed, we've been made aware. My mother in law has recently said 'I can't fault them - they're all lovely' and it's great to have the peace of mind that she's being cared for by such a good company.

Thank you too for mentioning the work of the office staff; it is the face of the carers that most people see but for everything to work well it needs a real team effort.
It is not uncommon for people to be initially apprehensive about receiving help; after all, they have spent so many years being able to look after themselves and, in more cases than not, looking after others as well. We have heard from other families how attitudes can change from one of initial reluctance to really looking forward to seeing their carer once they get to know them.

They understand me as I have complex mental health needs and they are the best. I especially like two male carers as they take me shopping and help me in the bath. They know how to help me shave as I worry about that a lot.

Look after me very well, know all my needs as I have a learning disability, my life is better with Allcare in it. They protect me as I am vulnerable, especially from financial abuse. I can talk to them, especially a certain male carer, he's my favourite carer. We do man things like go to the pub sometimes
for dinner.

My mother has been using Allcare approx 5 years. The care she receives is excellent. She really looks forward to seeing them. We know if there is a problem or if she is unwell they will get in touch. So it makes us feel at ease, that they will get in touch if needed. The staff treat her with dignity.
The whole care provided between staff/management and service user is excellent, communication is good. Our mother can stay in her own home with the care and support of Allcare.

Very polite and tidy.
A very few carers smoke but not in the house or on the premises but you can smell it on their clothes.
The carers keep very much to their visitors times.

We are however disappointed to learn that a small number of carers who visit you smell of smoke. We can only apologise for this, we pride ourselves on the high standard of our carers and the care they provide, unfortunately, there is no excuse for those that visit you to smell of smoke. We do expect the carers who do smoke to empathise how working in close proximity with people, delivering all aspects of care means that their personal hygiene is of extreme importance. We will therefore, be readdressing this issue by sending a memo out to all staff and placing a notice in our monthly staff newsletter. We will also ensure this is discussed at our next full staff meeting.


Despite this, we are over the moon to see you would be likely to recommend our service and are happy with the care you receive.

When your parent requires carers to enable them to live at home and you live many miles away, then it is very important that the Care Company offer a high standard of care and provide good feedback to the family as well as developing a good rapport to enable the family to believe their parents are in
safe hands.
I believe that Allcare Shropshire managed to achieve this. I was able to discuss my parent needs to focus my visits to ensure that his needs were met. I found all the carers were friendly, trustworthy and professional. The supervisor kept me informed and updated on any issue/concerns that I had or needed to know about. Most of all Dad was happy with the care that he was receiving and enabled him to achieve his wish of remaining in his own home,

I have been using the services of Allcare for about 12 years now. Without them, I would be lost. My first carer, who I still have, is a friend to me. I prefer having my regular carers rather than having different ones, but they all generally carry out my care plan.

It is with great regret that Mum's care only switched to Allcare in the last few months of her time at home. I'd assumed (wrongly) that all home care agencies were similar in the quality of the care they'd provide, so didn't switch providers until she was recently returning from a visit to the hospital.
The difference was staggering, and is down to a combination of great personnel, fully motivated by good quality management..... it always made you smile when you'd hear the chatter and chuckles coming from the bathroom, as mum was being readied for bed, etc.


It was clear that the staff didn't just come into her house and do whatever they were told to do, but came in and did a full assessment of mum and her surroundings, feeding back if there were any areas of concern. Given that my brother and myself live more than two and a half hours away, it was such a comfort to know that she was in such caring and capable hands.

Not happy with some of the night visits too early to go to bed eg 18:00 would feel much happier if the careers could visit later and on some occasions only one visit some weekends other than that we can't fault the service provided by the team

We are understandably disappointed to hear you are not completely happy in regards to your mother's evening calls.
I understand these times were agreed on commencing your mother's care, however, it sounds like you are no longer happy with these arrangements.


As an agency, we pride ourselves on being very proactive in responding to the views and needs of our service users and their families. We would, therefore, like to review the time to one that suits you and your mother better.


In regards to weekend calls, I have been informed we originally took on the care package without weekends but this was later something we accommodated. On one occasion since starting the weekend visits we regrettably had to send one carer instead of two, these arrangements were made with your brother who was happy to step in due to a high level of staff sickness. This is not a decision we take lightly or something we are often required to do, however, in this instance, we very much appreciated his offer of assistance.


We are very pleased to see that other than the above, you are pleased with the overall care your mother is receiving and you would be likely to recommend us.


The carers inform us it is a delight to visit your mum and often leave with a smile on their faces after some friendly banter and a good old giggle.


Should you have any further issues in the future please feel free to contact our office where we would be more than happy to discuss and arrange alternatives where possible.

I cannot praise Allcare and their staff highly enough. They have provided exemplary service to my mother-in-law for five years now. She has very advanced dementia and can do nothing for herself. The staff are always attentive and supportive and have enabled me and my husband to provide for my mother-in-law's
needs in a way we never knew could be possible. Thank you so much! I have already recommended Allcare to another couple who also found them very helpful. We did have experience of another agency prior to Allcare and know how bad things can be so if you are fortunate to be in the area in which Allcare work, don't hesitate to contact them.
