Bluebird Care provided top-up care for Mum. She already had council care coming in twice a day. Having the Bluebird carers coming to see Mum once a day was a real help to us. They made lunch but also took the time to chat to Mum. They were cheery and 'down to earth' and Mum enjoyed their visits.
Any
little blips were sorted out immediately and I could always rely on having someone helpful at the end of the phone to answer any questions.
Mum has since moved to a care home. But we were able to delay that partly due to Bluebird's service. The kindness and understanding was so helpful to all of us.

A lovely review - thank you so much, Dawn, for your comments, this really is very much appreciated. We try hard to provide a service that is professional and compassionate, remembering that all of our customers deserve to be treated with the respect and dignity we would wish for ourselves. Sometimes a friendly face and cheery approach are all that it takes to put our customers at ease and reduce the stress of having 'strangers' in the house. I am very happy to hear that the management team were always at hand and able to sort out any blips or requests that you had. We will pass on your fantastic feedback to our Bluebirds.

Bluebird carers came in to help Mum for approximately 16 months, initially twice a day and then, when she had a bad fall they were able to, at very short notice, increase the visits to four times a day. They provided a high level of care and were always kind and cheerful. On more than one occasion,
when there was a bit of an emergency, they went above and beyond and more than one carer, including at times members of the office staff, would come to help out. Knowing that the carers were coming in and that Mum was being given her meals and medication and just generally being looked after was a huge weight off our minds. Mum is now in a care home but was undoubtedly able to stay at home for longer because of the Bluebird carers-we quite simply couldn’t have managed without them.

I am delighted with not only the overall service provided by Bluebird but also the kindness and understanding shown to both myself and the organiser and my father as the client.
Every carer that came in was superb. My fathers needs changed quite quickly but Bluebird shows great flexibility when sometimes
at short notice two carers were required.
Also, the joined-up approach used was excellent. Carer one would get my father up dressed and any washing put onto communal washing room. Midday carer would as well as see to my father's meds and meal then transfer washing to tumble dryer, evening meal carer would take the washing out of tumble dryer and make sure bed was made up ahead of bed and tuck carer.
I happened to be round at one time and found the carer sweeping the carpet as they had time which was above what I was expecting.
All in all brilliant service. Well done and thank you.

My aunt has been receiving visits from Bluebird since January when she broke her hip. She has slowly recovered and has reduced the visits gradually from 5, down to 1, and we can only thank the girls for their help with my aunt's recovery. They've been amazing, helping her wash/dress, cook, shipping
and do some gentle housework. This has allowed my aunt to recover and now, she feels more independent again, at age 93.
We cannot recommend Bluebird enough and will be sure to contact them again, for any future needs.

Thank you for an amazing service.

Hi Michelle
Thank you so much for your awesome review of the care service we provided with your aunt. It is always heartening to know we have played a small part in supporting our customers to regain their independence and continue to live in the home they love, surrounded by their neighbours, friends and family (and sometimes beloved pets), especially when they are 93 years young! That is so fabulous to hear.
I will be sure to let our carers know that their support was very much appreciated, and be reassured we are here if you ever need us in the future.

Best Regards from All of the Bluebird Care family.

Bluebird Care Dunbartonshire have been providing social visits for more than a year, which have greatly helped to reduce isolation. My relative really looks forward to these twice weekly visits. Recently, they have started providing evening visits and it is reassuring to know that my relative has care
to get ready for bed as I live some distance away. The staff are all caring, helpful and I find the app is a great help to keep informed on how things are and with any concerns that are raised.

Reply from Patricia Hughes, Owner at Bluebird Care Dunbartonshire

Hi Moira.
Thank you so much for taking the time to offer your feedback. The isolation of our customers has been a major concern for us over the last year so we have been very conscious that our staff team continue to develop and maintain friendly and compassionate relationships with our customers. In addition, the regular telephone wellbeing checks undertaken by our management team has helped us identify customers who may be feeling particularly lonely or isolated, and therefore may require extra support.
The OpenPass App has proved very successful, with family members, like yourself, advising that they feel reassured to be able to keep up-to-date in live time as to their loved one's care and support, whilst as you acknowledge can also help identify any concerns and deal with them timeously. This has been a great tool to use technology not to replace care but to enhance and assist in meeting our customer's needs.

Many thanks, and very best regards from all the team.

I am so happy with the continuity I receive with Bluebird Care. I have two carers per week and have built up a great relationship with them. I always know the exact time and who is coming to my home. I also receive a rota with visit times, and the office team call me to see if I am OK. I would recommend
Bluebird Care to anyone looking for continuity and professional service.

I am new to receiving care and I am so grateful of the carers who come to visit me. They are so friendly, professional, good company and always willing to help, nothing is ever any bother. I look forward to every day because I have carers coming to keep me company and support me with personal care,
my breakfast, and some domestic chores. The office staff always keep me updated about my visit times and I have a chat with them too on the phone. Keep up the good work Bluebirds.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any problems, or just want a blether...

Bluebird Care have offered a consistently high standard. Punctuality, attention to hygiene in the Covid 19 pandemic, courtesy and respect, care and personal interest in the client, consistent care, I could go on. Our carer has worked with us here once a week for two years and has adapted to the changes
over that period of time. He has been an enormous support throughout and I am very grateful to him for his commitment and care.

Bluebird carers go into my Mum's house at least twice a day - usually to make her breakfast, help her get dressed in the morning and help her get ready for bed at night. They are all very kind to her. They treat her with respect as if she was their own mother. She looks forward to them coming in
and enjoys their company.
