Bluebird Care Leeds North’s full Live-in Care service is a popular option, where a suitably matched Care Assistant lives in the customer’s home. This enables customers to stay safe at home and the service is completely personalised to each individual customer and provides the ultimate in safety and protection.

When people live in their own homes and receive Bluebird Care’s services, they can keep to their own familiar routines, enjoy their garden and sit with their pets in their favourite armchair. Customer’s families and friends can be reassured in the knowledge that they are safe and well cared for.

I could not ask for more kindness The change to new visiting times recently has worked very well following a very distressing time after an incident that was nothing to do with Bluebird, but they saw I needed extra help and came to my rescue. Bluebird made changes I needed and are very helpful and pleasant
with understanding. It cheers me up each day to see them!

Care assistants provide an excellent standard of care, whilst preserving my independence as much as possible. They are all sensitive to my needs and provide support and care as required. The continuity of care enables them to be aware of issues that need intervention; for example, if I have an infection,
they know if I am confused and need antibiotics. When attending my hospital appointments, my consultants value their input and contribution to the consultation.

My father has been with Bluebird for nearly 2 years and we have been very pleased with the service we have received. Two or three carers in particular really go above and beyond to make my father's difficult life a little easier. They put on washing and hang it up, attend to his personal care and prepare
his breakfast and a sandwich and buttered scone for lunch. They have not let us down once, every morning a carer has come, all through lockdown and the pandemic. We are truly appreciative and thankful to Bluebird for making an elderly, disabled man's life better and enabling him to carry on living in his own home.

I find the carers considerate, helpful and caring. No task is too small or great. I have always found that they arrive on time, thus allowing me to organise/plan my day.

I feel like the Bluebirds are my family, I don't have any family living close to me and they look out for me as if they are my own flesh and blood. They are simply angels! I wouldn't be able to stay at home without them and I love their company.

I have no problems with any of the care my mother-in-law has received. I am also appreciative of the suggestions made by the carers to make my mother-in-law's care better. She looks cared for and comfortable and it enables her to stay in her own home.

Bluebird have been visiting me for years. They come 3 or 4 times a week and help me with my domestic tasks because I’m no longer able to do it myself. All the carers are lovely, kind and willing to help me with anything. It’s so nice to see a friendly face, have our chats and I feel really happy with

Bluebird Care has been wonderful in helping me recover from my operation. Nothing is too much trouble, and I look forward to my daily visits as we have a good natter. They even filled up my bird feeder so that I could watch the birds from my chair.

I normally just have a cleaning and laundry service, but whilst I am having to self isolate, I rely on my cleaner to do my shopping - which is going well, thank you. I could not manage without this help.

Being unable to visit my relative has been very difficult for us in the lockdown situation, but it is so reassuring to know that the Bluebirds visit twice a day and they contact me if there are any immediate issues. I know that my Aunt is safe, taking her medication, and eating her meals. The area supervisor
also contacts me by email if necessary and to offer their help with anything. I also have access to an app; which gives me details of each visit; this is excellent, particularly when we are on holiday.

I cannot rate Bluebird highly enough.
Always helpful, happy, friendly with an out of hours team who are there in emergencies too.
Whether it’s asking if they can do some shopping or something more, it’s always arranged with a smile.
Living 3.5 hours drive away, Bluebird visit my parents every day
if there are any concerns, I get a call which puts my mind at rest.
Yesterday I received a call to say my dad wasn’t well. I got ready and got in the car ready to go up there. I was worried that my mum would be on her own waiting for the ambulance. I asked if the carer could stay, I understood that whilst under the Coronavirus situation if she couldn’t. The company rescheduled everything and the carer stayed with my parents until I arrived some 3-4 hours later.
You never know how an agency is until you need them at a time of emergency.
Bluebird have demonstrated repeatedly just how much they care.
Being able to live independently is made so much easier with this team of amazing carers.

It is comforting to know each night that the Bluebird carer, within minutes of the agreed time, will arrive and be cheerful, helpful and thoughtful about what she is doing and will often make helpful suggestions. I couldn't ask for a better start to the day.

My main concerns are:-
Running out of things without being advised. Throwing out things after their expiry dates. Some carers are unsure about the aga and keeping it clean.

Sheree

Sheree Jenman

Job Title: Director

Sheree brings a wealth of professional expertise to Bluebird Care. Prior to owning Bluebird Care Leeds North, Sheree was a Quality Manager with the Bluebird Care Franchise Support Centre, providing advice and support to around forty Bluebird Care franchises in the North and East Midlands region.


Sheree said,
"Bluebird Care stands for exactly the type of quality care provision that I want to be associated with. I knew the moment I became involved with Bluebird Care that this brand represented the type of quality services that I’m happy to put my name to. Coming from a care and quality background, I self-assess our service on a daily basis and I’m only satisfied with a service that holds dignity and respect at its heart and is good enough for my own loved ones.”

Bringing with her, 18 year's experience in the health and social care sector in a variety of roles, Sheree initially worked as a front-line Support Worker, Registered Manager and then Senior Manager of multiple services. She worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for a large Yorkshire based Housing Association and then started her journey with Bluebird Care working for the Franchise Support Centre before investing in her own Bluebird Care franchise in early 2019.

A career in the social care sector has given Sheree the opportunity to lead a range of services including domiciliary care, care homes, extra care, supported living and day services and has experience of working with older people, people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse, homelessness, chaotic lifestyles and children and families.


Throughout her career, Sheree gained vital knowledge of the care industry and understands what excellent care looks like and more importantly, the impact that poor care has on the people who receive it.


Sheree is born and bred in Leeds and is very proud to be able to bring outstanding quality home care to her local community.

Sophie Lowndes

Job Title: Care Manager

Joined: 2012

Sophie is the Care Manager and CQC Register Manager for Bluebird Care Leeds North. She started her journey with Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant in 2012 and flourished within a supportive environment, that saw her develop and progress to the Care Manager role.
Having worked in most roles within the business, Sophie is a fountain of knowledge in Care and Support.
Sophie leads the team with integrity, she thrives on learning every day and works hard to continuously develop the service. She manages operations in an organised manner and supports staff with confidence and kindness.


When it comes to passion for customer service and truly person-centred care, Sophie has bundles of it and her energy is infectious throughout the team.
