Caremark Redcar and Cleveland provides care and support services to people, adults and children, within their own homes and also in the community, and is rated as 'good' by its regulator, the Care Quality Commission.

These services can range from helping people to cook a meal or take a bath, through to assisting those with more complex care needs, such as people who have dementia, physical disabilities or mental health problems.

The company is the number one rated provider of care and support for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and and also has a number of privately funded clients.

Caremark Redcar and Cleveland also offers a live-in 24-hour care service. This enables people to have the support of their own professional live-in carer.

In addition to homecare services, the company also has an Assisted Animal Therapy service, using trained Pets As Therapy dogs to visit people's homes, schools, hospices and various community venues. Therapy dogs are proven to help reduce stress, anxiety, loneliness or depression, and can really make a a positive difference to people’s emotional and mental well-being, and very positive outcomes are being achieved by Caremark.

The company also has a thrice-weekly activity-led initiative called Safe Place which brings people at risk of social isolation/exclusion together for companionship and activity-based sessions, including games, crafting, cooking and more.

The service that Caremark provide to my children is 100%. The carers are amazing and have brought our children on a long way. The carers do a lot of outdoor and indoor activities with the children, and it’s working really well. The children have really taken to the carers also, the carers are always
professional in everything they do. The office staff are always very helpful if we ever have any queries about anything - our problems are always sorted out very professionally and sorted virtually straight away too.

All the staff members who have attended my husband have always been polite, empathetic and cheerful.
Some days when his mobility is particularly bad, they need to have extra patience and understanding, which has never been a problem. I really don't know how we would manage without them.

Caremark provides a high standard of service. They put high regard on client and family wishes. The care support around my son is exemplary. My son receives live-in care which has allowed him to move into his first property and develop independence.

Have been with Caremark for 18 months now and have found them to be very caring and efficient. The carers are wonderful and are more like friends. I have been mostly housebound since leaving hospital and would have become very depressed without their visits to cheer me up and take care of me.

Caremark provides a three-hour sitting service three times a week, plus a one-hour bathing call for my mother. The company also provides a weekly rota of staff, who are attending that week - though carers are swapped/changed regularly. Sadly, each week we often have different carers, most of whom,
are very young and often struggle to engage and communicate with my mother over such a long period. However, they are positive and caring, and the only issue is my mother reports several sit with their mobile phone rather than engage with Mum.

All issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. Still, they should communicate with me prior to contacting social services. I've found this very odd, to be honest. Other than that, all good. Dad seems to have adjusted now to being woken up.

I would like a constant team of people. I do not like people entering my house that I do not know. Since we joined Caremark, we have enjoyed three people who come to the house, in particular. We do not like it when the rota is changed and some one else comes. I think we should be notified when some
different carer will be arriving.

Due to my contracting COVID, I have had to request more care for my mother - namely tea time calls. This was dealt with professionally and promptly. It has had a massive impact on myself, as I haven't needed to worry about her, her medications or her evening meal. And she has been happy too. We have
used Caremark for many years now and appreciate all their hard work and care, especially during the pandemic.

Your staff are amazing, they are always cheerful and caring, and their visits are the highlight of my day. Nothing is ever too much for the carers. I also love attending safe place Tuesday every week, what a great atmosphere.

My mum has had carers since last year, if it wasn't for this company supporting my sister and me, we would not be able to look after our mum at home. Nothing seems to be too much for them. All of the carers are efficient, caring, professional and respectful of Mum's needs. I would not hesitate to recommend

My daughter has severe learning disabilities and receives regular care and support from Caremark and has done for a few years. As she cannot do anything for herself and is dependent on others to meet her needs and keep her safe, she requires a substantial amount of care.
The care workers we have are
reliable and look after my daughter well. This gives me the opportunity to relax, catch up on jobs in the home and spend some time with my youngest daughter, who likes to be involved and assist the care workers, especially during teatime and weekend calls.
Should we have any queries, I find they are always responded to promptly, and any problems or issues we have are resolved effectively.

Most of the girls are fantastic with Mam, treat her with dignity and are very friendly with her. Some have been coming for years and feel more like family.
When I do have any problems, the supervisors are always on hand to sort things out.

Caremark provides a very good standard of care for my dad. They are responsive to changes requested such as increases in care or cancelling visits and implement these quickly. I appreciate that carers have brought our family's attention to issues of concern for example the need to secure Dad's medication.
Office staff are always friendly when I call. When there has been very occasional confusion over visits Caremark have resolved these swiftly.
