My Dad was cared for by you in his last year of life. Every carer who saw him was friendly, professional and so gentle and caring. It was a difficult time for both my Mum and Dad who up until then had been fiercely independent and self-sufficient. To have "strangers" in their home was hard for them,
however, they soon came to see the carers are friends, looking forward to their visits. The Carers were there to help with my Dad's everyday care (washing etc) but they also took the time to speak to my Mum and ensure she was coping OK. Their care ensured he was able to be at home when he passed which was what he and my Mum wanted. I cannot thank you enough for your care and assistance, there are no words that can express my whole family's gratitude to you. You even visited my Mum to see how she is coping following my Dad passing. Knowing how well you cared for my Dad until his last breath is a big comfort to us all at this sad time.

Thank you for your kind comments. We understand that there are times when we all need a little extra help and we make sure our clients' loved ones are supported too, as it can be difficult time for them both mentally and physically. Our care plans always focus on clients' specific needs to ensure their support and comfort. I will pass your kind words to all our staff.

My father has been receiving care from Community Lifeline since September. Initially my father was hostile towards the carers because he did not feel the need for them. The carers have worked hard to gain his trust and now he is allowing the carers to assist him, with some tasks. I've been pleased with
the reliability and punctuality of the care visits. In terms of value for money, it is difficult to say because the carers could and are willing to do more but my father is still not willing to embrace the full level of support that the carers could provide.
I have had a few admin problems but when brought to the attention of the office staff, these issues have been resolved. The carers and office staff are very friendly and helpful and overall I am pleased with the service provided and would recommend Community Lifeline.

Reply from Maria Hanson, Registered manager at Community Lifeline

Thank you for the lovely feedback, we will definitely pass this onto our care team. Listening to your father's wishes and changing our approach to his choices and decisions has paid off in gaining his trust.

We have been receiving care assistance since the end of October 2024 for my father. There have been some small issues in getting used to this service. However, every concern we have brought to their attention has been dealt with instantly and in a professional manner showing due care to both my father,
the client, and mother who is the main carer. Two of our regular carers who visit, not only have my father's well-being in mind at all times, but went over and above their duties at Christmas in recognising my mother was struggling. They stepped in and advised of a number of services which we were not aware of. One carer volunteered to make referrals to various different organisations all of whom contacted us promptly. These organisations have visited or telephoned and have been extremely helpful. Where necessary putting systems in place. We are very thankful for this intervention. It is also encouraging to know they can liaise with my father's GP where necessary and give other support.

Reply from Maria Hanson, Registered manager at Community Lifeline

Thank you for your kind words, we will definitely pass these onto the team. It has been a pleasure working together to achieve the right care and balance for your parents. We realise that having a holistic approach to care needs the involvement of multi disciplinary teams to ensure all involved are working on the same page.

Community Lifeline have provided 24/7 care for my brother in his own home for the last 17 years. Being severely disabled, both mentally and physically, he has been entirely dependent on them for all aspects of his life. Throughout this time, Community Lifeline have been professional, safe and compassionate
ensuring that his quality of life is the best it can be. Carers are prepared to go above and beyond by working extended shifts to enable him to take advantage of suitable facilities away from his home. With his family not living locally, there is frequent communication with the team allowing us to be confident that his needs are always met, with any concerns being raised. We have no hesitation in recommending Community Lifeline.

Reply from Naomi Snooks, Quality Assessor at Community Lifeline

It has been a great pleasure caring for your brother and ensuring he has the correct care for his needs. I personally have cared for Stephen and worked with our team and the family. I will pass this on to the team that looks after your brother and thank you for your review on Community Lifeline team.

Overall the service has been reliable and some of the staff have been exceptional.
The flexibility and responsiveness of the booking system has also been excellent as has the regular review meetings, where service tailoring and improvement has been timely and successful. I would however be extremely
dissatisfied should the premium rates charged for this service, not be reflected in above industry benchmark wages for the employees who provide it.

Reply from Maria Hanson, Registered manager at Community Lifeline

Thank you for your kind words, we will definitely pass on your comments to our care team. Being adaptable to changing needs is an important part of person centred care for your loved ones and it has been a pleasure and an immense help in communicating with you to ensure this is done.

I cannot praise the wonderful people at Community Lifeline enough. They cared for mum through her last few months and gave her dignity and friendship to make a difficult process easier. Mum has sadly passed now and again I must thank the wonderful ladies who came to her funeral yesterday, and for the
continued support they have shown to my dad. We are so grateful to you all and we would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone in need.

Reply from Maria Hanson, Registered manager at Community Lifeline

Thank you for your very kind words. I will pass them on to the carers and office staff. They will miss her smile. We hope that your dad continues to pop in for a cup of tea and a catch.

The team in Longfield cared for my dad through a difficult period following a fall and prolonged hospital stay. They were always kind, considerate, respectful and friendly. They handled him with dignity, understanding and compassion, and he liked them all and looked forward to seeing them. Sadly, he
has had to go into a nursing home now, but even when they helped us to get him ready, the care and personal commitment shone through. As a family, we also felt supported by them and want to thank the team

We have been using Community Lifeline for a few weeks now and Dad appreciates the help and company. I particularly wanted a smaller local agency so that my dad would have a core of carers who would understand his needs. Dad is very deaf. It gives me peace of mind that someone is seeing him since I don’t
live locally. He is always misplacing things and they help him try to find the item. He looks forward to their daily visits.

My wife is well looked after by the carers, all of whom are very nice to both of us. They always ask if there is anything that they can do for us before they leave. Since we have started using the service the visiting times seem to have slipped a bit and are later in the mornings. I hope this can be
sorted out and we can return to the earlier visiting times. We understand that there are other people who need this service more than we do and are very happy with things generally.

Reply from Mrs Maria Hanson, Registered manager at Community Lifeline

Thank you for your review, we are very pleased that you are happy with the care that your wife is receiving. I will inform my care coordinator to address the change in timings and aim for us to allocate the care to your wife's preferred time.

The carers were friendly, polite and respectful. They highlighted any medical concerns they noticed back to the office, who then contacted me and the doctor if needed.
My mother was well looked after by them which gave me and my family peace of mind.
They always left Mum with a drink and tidied up
after themselves.

Some carers are better than others but, generally happy with the care provided. The office could be run more efficiently, sometimes they have sent me the weekly care plan for a completely different client!
When something unexpected crops up, the office should be able to phone my mother to warn her
that her carer is running late. This rarely happens, however.

Very happy with the care and reassurance that your carers provide - all very pleasant and experienced. It's very nice how Dad interacts with the carers which provides him with company. He loves chatting about his army days and holidays gone by, which keeps his mind active whilst I'm at work.

We are in the early stages of settling my mother in with care morning and evening, a total of four hours a day. It’s been two weeks and since Mum has dementia we were apprehensive about her seeing new faces popping in and out of her home. There are mainly four carers (unless someone is off or an issue
arises) and it has certainly taken a whole two weeks for her to settle but I’m very happy with the way the carers have integrated and understood needs quickly. We look forward to developing relationships as we continue to work with Community Lifeline. I’m particularly happy that I can pop into the local Longfield office if I need to speak to anyone.

Community Lifeline provided carers for my mother when she was bedridden at home and suffering from Alzheimer's. The carers were a tremendous source of practical help and emotional support for my father while he was looking after my mum: he looked forward to them coming every day. The carers were always
extremely attentive to my mum and her complex needs. They knew exactly what she liked and didn’t like and always treated her with kindness, concern and respect. Although my mum lost the ability to speak, it was obvious from the smile with which she greeted the carers that she felt secure and happy with them. When my dad died suddenly, Community Lifeline immediately stepped in and provided a 24-hour live-in carer for my mother. The carer was unfailingly kind and considerate to my mum and knew her needs better than anyone else. Without the carers' support, I could not have managed. I have nothing but the highest praise for the carers and I will always be extremely grateful to them.

We were given one week to look for care for my dad, on his discharge from hospital. Community Lifeline provided the very detailed information that I needed to make the decision to go with them. On meeting the manager, I was impressed with her knowledge and the various options that she gave. Community
Lifeline then provided care for both my parents. They were happy to provide increased care for a short term when necessary. The overall care that my parents received was very good. The carers were willing to accommodate all my parents’ requests. The same carers were provided regularly, as much as possible. Our thanks go to all members of staff who have helped my parents in the past year.

Thank you so much for your review, it is much appreciated and I will pass on your kind words to all the carers and the office team. We are very proud of our person-centred approach and our aims and outcomes are to engage your parents in any adjustments that are needed to deliver safe and effective care. Kind regards.

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have not always had it easy with a lot of illnesses in my own family, I was lucky that the directors showed great compassion when I needed it. Many of the staff come from nursing terminally ill family members. Which helps when it’s needed to understand the family members of our clients.

Over the years I have worked alongside amazing people and given guidance to those who needed it
and trained staff in many areas.

I am now auditing. And enjoy being part of a very professional and compassionate team.
