Corinium Care have provided good and efficient live-in care for my elderly parents, my father being visually impaired and my mother with dementia. Finding a carer who can also drive has proved challenging but the office staff have always been quick to respond to queries and requests. The carers have
all been friendly and professional.

Firstly the carer was not stoma trained, despite management assurances to the contrary. She worked hard, including coping with some sleepless nights. However, alarm bells started ringing when she would not take the agreed daily breaks. She forged an unhealthy pattern of co-dependency with my mum, raising
concerns from family members. Her body odour became a problem as did inappropriate sexual innuendoes.
At this point, my mum was hospitalised. I let the carer stay on at my mum's request, though her first thought was to go to the bar in the retirement village.
The next day she encouraged my dad to disclose personal details about his relationship with my mum after his weekly counseling session; then she disclosed highly inappropriate details of an incestuous family relationship. The day after she accused my dad of making unsolicited sexual advances and left. It is hard to put this experience into words - it's hard to believe it even happened but unfortunately for us it did.

Hi David,

We were very disappointed to read this review. We take any concern or complaint from clients, their representatives, or carers very seriously as we did upon receipt of your formal written complaint last month (June). We conducted a full and thorough internal investigation in line with our company policies and procedures. We have formally confirmed the outcome of our investigation of these claims and discussed them with you. If you have any further questions related to this, please reach out to us directly.

Kind regards

The Corinium Team

Corinium started to provide care for my then 99-year-old father in March last year, and are continuing to do so. He is physically weak but strong mentally. We have had a relay of two very good carers, who have in effect taken it in turns to provide care, about three months each at a time. He did not
get on with a third carer, an interim over Christmas, but she was only there for about four weeks.

Overall a very good care provider. It took a few weeks to find the right team with the right skill set to match the individual needs of my mother with Alzheimer's as Corinium offer a wide spectrum of carers for all levels of caring. The management and admin staff are excellent and deal with any problems
quickly and efficiently and treat my mother with great respect. That being said she is very close by to us so we pop in on a daily basis and can see immediately if she is anxious or unhappy with any particular carer. It is a difficult job and our regular carers are extremely supportive and kind.

For the last 4 years, my mother has received exemplary care from her carers.
The carers have looked after her with skill and dedication and have provided amazing continuity. Despite my mother's continuing decline in memory and mobility, the carers have risen to every challenge and this has enabled
my mother to remain comfortable and content in her own home.
