  • There will be no charge for the period of a planned enablement service (PRIME). At the beginning of the enablement period, it will be agreed on the time scales which it is felt the PRIME service may be required, however, this will be regularly monitored throughout the enablement period with goals and outcomes amended accordingly.

If at any point it is identified that a person still has needs that are eligible for care and support under the Care Act 2014 after enablement, the council’s assessment team will conclude their needs assessment and discuss the process for the provision of care and support to meet their eligible needs. A financial assessment will be required to determine a person’s contribution to the cost of their future care provision and may take place within a six-week period. Charges will apply from the date it is agreed the person requires a long-term care service regardless of the care provider.

My aged mother returned home from hospital after she had a fall and was assisted for 6 weeks by very kind and helpful members of the Prime Team. They came in 3 times a day and assisted her with washing, and making meals and got some helpful modifications made to her bathroom. My mother is now able
to be independent again. They should be complemented on their good work and friendly demeanour.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for the carers who have helped our family so much. We have nothing but praise for this entire team of professionals who were not just efficient and reliable in their duties but also were always caring, sensitive and thoughtful of our individual needs during a traumatic
time. We don't know what we would have done without them - they have helped us put our lives back together.

We are very thankful for the Gateshead PRIME team's recent involvement with my father-in-law. He has been very dependent for his care needs and continues to live with lots of complexity but despite this, the team have given excellent care and have been a key part of him remaining at home, safe and feeling
cared for. The whole social dynamic that my mother and father-in-law live with has had to rapidly change including their usual daily routine both within and outside of the home. The PRIME team have fully supported them with this changing dynamic through empathy, compassion and understanding. All of the staff have been professional whilst being able to develop therapeutic relationships which has really helped things to tick along. Crucially, the PRIME team have been instrumental in my father-in-law engaging in reablement - the improvement in his function is evident despite the complexity of his condition. Thank you for all that you do and for delivering such a gold standard of care.

I would like to thank the team of carers who have been looking after my dad, who has Parkinson's. Since he came out of the hospital, they have been coming in every day, twice a day, and it has been a godsend to my mum, who has cancer and is now unable to assist him anymore.

The PRIME team stepped in with very little notice to care for my elderly mother with memory issues. The team were immediately effective, Mum's well-being was always their first priority and they quickly established a good rapport, focusing on several specific problem areas such as regular meals and
maintenance of fresh food in fridges etc. Now swapping for a long-term private solution and the PRIME team have also been invaluable in that transition.

Friendly, caring and attentive staff who go above and beyond when caring for my mam. They always treat my mam with respect and dignity and always meet my mam's needs, making sure she is comfortable and has everything she needs in-between visits. They have built a fantastic rapport and relationship with
my mam when attending five times a day. She looks forward to seeing them and catching up on each visit. Such a shame that they don't provide a long-term service, as having experienced other care providers in the past, PRIME Services would always be our choice for a care provider. Thank you for all you do and for always caring.

Looked after my mother, who had developed Alzheimer's/dementia but was still able to live in her home, visiting her four times a day. They helped her get her meals and encouraged her to drink even though she was reluctant, and helped keep her sanitary. They alerted us to her need for hospital attention
when her breathing became difficult, which turned out to be a pulmonary embolism. Her care with the PRIME team ended at this point, and we wished she could have continued to be looked after by them at home, where she wanted to be. We appreciate all they did for her despite my mother being a bit difficult.

They are gentle and caring. Very considerate of my needs. They even anticipate my needs before it has happened. They have all knowledge of the medication I have and support me to take it myself. Very helpful. They even help make sure my lights are left that I cannot reach. They are just so pleasant
and always chatty. The first thing staff always ask is how I am feeling. The staff just understand what I am able of and what I can do. They ensure I am safe and have helped whilst my stairlift has been broken.
I was left with no service from a different company and PRIME came straight away to put services in.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
