Started out last year with daily visits after a bad fall in July 2022. Now come twice a week, largely for companionship but also do light housework.
One of the carers was very kind when Dad had a minor fall and she stayed with him for 6 hours in A&E. We really appreciate this level of support.

The girls always arrive on time and give my mum the right amount of support she needs to make Mother's sense of humour shine through which is very important for my mum and the family.
With most of our family living away from the Wirral, I need to cancel the care regularly, when they're over to see
Mother, which is unfortunate, as care given is great.
Only negative has been occasional calls/when been cancellations still coming, which could be disruptive.

We have found the home care to be very well organised and are able to talk about any problems etc. The initial meetings were very helpful in the fact that my mother-in-law was able to meet the team who were going to be coming to her address.

My carers are usually excellent but occasionally are rushed. They carry out tasks with great care. They are adaptable as sometimes the tasks can change. Communication with the office staff is good and welcoming. I'm never made to feel I'm a nuisance for phoning. If I ever had to complain the complaint
is dealt with immediately.

Both ladies have helped me to have more time to myself. My aunt has been difficult for them to start off with but now the routine has helped her to keep going especially first thing in the morning. When contacting the office most times everything the staff do is a great help.

Home Instead was a lifesaver when they came up with a plan to look after both Mum and Dad following Dad's discharge from the hospital. This was such a relief to us as a family, knowing they would be cared for in our absence, especially with Mum suffering from Alzheimer's. Otherwise, she would have had
to go into a care home which we all didn't want to happen. All of their carers are brilliant, reliable and can't do enough.

Since using Home Instead, I have felt more comfortable with strangers. A stranger is only a friend you haven't met yet. Home Instead have eased my mind, when you've got 100 things to think about when caring for somebody.
Home Instead are always there for you and at the end of the phone when you want
them. Home Instead relate to your needs. I have used other agencies and Home Instead are the best.

I mainly use this service to cope with my weekly shop but all your helpers, that I have known over I think three years, have become friends. I make a shopping list, a very long one, and it's not simply that it's followed by the bother but I'm grateful for the various helpers that have been supportive
and so kind. If something is not available they find substitutes, which on occasions become the first choice. They also ask if there is anything else they can do and it's my independence which means that I can never think of additional help or needs.
