Home Instead (Stafford) offers tailor-made home care and specialist dementia support to people living at home.

Their services include companionship, home help, personal care, medication support, and respite.

They are a companionship led domiciliary care provider. This means their focus is on building meaningful relationships between clients and Care Professionals. They achieve this by providing clients with smaller teams, longer calls, exact call times, and personality matching between client and Care Professionals for additional compatibility.

The smaller teams means that you or your loved one sees the same faces more regularly, longer calls means they won't feel rushed, exact call times so they will know when to expect Care Professionals, and personality matching so they're genuinely going to look forward to spending time with the Care Professionals who have been hand picked for them.

Care Professionals are recruited through Home Instead's values-based recruitment program, whether they have prior experience in care or not, Home Instead looks for those who share its compassion, empathy, and values. Home Instead then provides them with industry leading training so they are ready to provide you or your loved one with the excellent level of care that their reputation has built up over a decade of operation. All Care Professionals are also vetted by enhanced DBS checks before employment is commenced.

Living in a village I needed to make sure mum was getting out and enjoying herself not just sitting watching tv or worrying. The team at Homeinstead have really given mum a new lease in life. In the last month alone mum has been dancing, crazy golfing, bowling and playing pool. The only thing I want
is to know that mum is happy, this team help to make that happen. I'm a little envious to be honest! Couldn't wish for more for mum x

Home Instead have been providing a companion service for my mum since her Alzheimer's diagnosis 2 years ago. They provide my mum with company; a friend to talk to and someone she can go out with and feel part of the day to day world that exists around her.
They have been brilliant in keeping her
motivated and also giving her the confidence that she has lost since her diagnosis.
Home Instead have also put us in touch with a group that meet every week which has also been great for my mum.

I had help from home instead for my mother who has dementia but living at home. Mum was very happy with the small group of chosen carers as she finds it difficult adapting to different people. The coordinators took this on board and massively supported us in the continuity of which carers were best
for me for this to work. We had regular slots last minute slots which were generally fulfilled for us which could have been difficult if i had not had their support.
Carers were happy to do what ever was required and my mum could be a little tricky at times but they always managed to support in a caring and professional manor.
Great communication from coordinators and admin staff too.
Overall fantastic service.

Would highly recommend the service as nothing is too much. Carers made Mum feel at ease and really helped her and the dog loved them also. They were polite and always helpful. If Mum needs care in the future I would not hesitate to have them back. One member of staff in particular was also very helpful
with arranging everything and organising the carers.

I am leaving a review because I can't praise the company enough since taking over the care of my elderly mother, her carers are like angels, my mum has never been so well looked after, she calls them "her girls"! They are extremely professional and always make time to talk to mum which is so important
as they could be the only person she sees that day. They fill in a daily log which I can access on the portal to see how mum is and if there is any immediate cause for concern they contact me straight away. It is an excellent company not just for mum but for my peace of mind too. The admin and behind the scenes staff at Home Instead are excellent and carry out regular reviews. I appreciate the whole team effort in providing the first class care for my mum.

I have received great care from Home Instead over the past 10 years. I would recommend to anyone as they have been brilliant. Everyone I have met, Care Professionals and staff, are very down to earth and genuinely care about my wellbeing. I have made great friends with my Care Professionals over the
years as I known they would do anything for me. They are a great support to have.

My mum needed help with her evening meal and medication and we found the three carers who came in on rotating days were very friendly, helpful and always punctual. We would recommend Home Instead - the team were always available if we had any questions.

I can't praise Home Instead highly enough. They have made numerous changes to their usual visiting rota (to accommodate the clients hospital outpatient appointments), all the carers are unfailingly helpful and good humoured, perfect companions to visit and help my mum with daily chores. All their contributions
make it viable for my mums ability to continue to live at home and, crucially, they provide respite for other family members. My mum is very happy with them all. As she has said to me, they're friendly without being intrusive.

Our disabled son has received care from Homeinstead for about 7 years and he has received fantastic service.
Homeinstead are a very professional company and very friendly. Always sort any queries out very efficiently. They match the right carer for the client so not only is the care very good but also
a good relationship develops. This is so important for our son who looks on his carers as friends and gets on with them and feels comfortable. He also has the same set of carers each week which is so important. No worrying who he is going to get each call.
The carers themselves are very trustworthy, always on time, and so pleasant. If there are any problems Homeinstead staff always inform us of any changes as soon as they can. Also if there is a new carer , the new carer will shadow his main carer for a few visits to see how they get on which is very good.
We find the portal good as we read how the call went and how our son is that day or any worries or concerns. Very happy with Homeinstead!

I used Home Instead for my Aunt who had lost her long term partner to cancer. He was her companion and support network. Home Instead carers were there to support my Aunt in her home and as a companion during lonely times. Communication was excellent. They were very flexible, supporting and trustworthy
and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. I would definitely use them again in the future if the need arises.

Home Instead have cared for my 93 year old father for the best part of 2024 into 2025. The care that he received was excellent and all the people are professional in their approach in dealing with the elderly and their needs. They went beyond his personal care and assisted daily with his laundry etc.
Eventually my father came to a point where he needed to go onto full time care in a care home. A big thank you the office staff and carers.

Mom needed a little help in her home, just for an hour or so, a few morning's each week to help with showering and taking the load off some of the morning's tasks when she felt under the weather. The carers were kind and friendly, got on with whatever she needed doing and were happy to chat and pass
the time of day too. The back room staff were keen to ensure that front line service were maintained at the expected standard and regular reviews were carried out with mom to this end.
Home Instead are not the cheapest provider in the market but we chose them for a number of reasons:
- Mom observed them visiting other clients in her apartment block and was impressed with how professional the carers appeared.
- Other residents, who's judgement mom trusted, in the apartment block highly recommended Home Instead.
- I have close family who have worked in senior positions in the care sector that knew of Home Instead and know how to read between the lines of CQC ratings and the like.
I would recommend Home Instead.

Home Instead have provided care for my mum over the past few months. She looked forward to all the ladies visiting and they got to know various members of our family too. Five times a week they provided companionship which was invaluable as Mum could not go outside the house without assistance and was
therefore very lonely. After each visit, I checked comments on the portal which was really helpful especially when I was on holiday. I have recommended Home Instead to others and would not hesitate to use them again.

Home Instead supported my Mum in her own home for an hour a day between September 2022 and July 2024. All the care professionals were supportive, kind, helpful, and happy to go above and beyond (bringing milk, bread, vegetables etc if stocks were low), patient and pivotal in enabling Mum to stay at
home living alone. I knew that every day Mum's welfare was checked, she had an hour's worth of company (this was such a bonus), each day the care professionals checked she had taken her medication, that minor ailments were being managed, that she was wearing her lifeline, they cooked her a hot meal and put sandwiches or salad in the fridge for later. They often helped sort out the TV or the supermarket order!
They also took Mum to appointments at the hairdressers etc which as I don't live close was a great help.
The management team are without exception excellent, they are communicative, professional, and always on hand to help with questions and offer support.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Home Instead were amazing, with their support Mum was able to stay in her home much longer than we thought possible.
We worked with Managers to create a daily list of tasks that we adapted as Mum's needs evolved. The carers completed this checklist at every visit and we could see their notes using
an app. The carers added useful information to help us out, the doorbell not working or the handle falling off the fridge, for example, as well as notes about the conversations they'd had and how Mum was feeling. I live outside of the UK and knowing that someone was going every day who knew Mum and obviously cared about her was incredibly reassuring.
I cannot say enough about the kindness and efficiency of Home Instead, from Carers to office staff to managers, they worked together seamlessly to make Mum's life better. Thank you all!

After a fall at home Mum needed a little extra help. From the first phone call I made to Home Instead, I felt reassured that they were the right people to help. The advice was so helpful. The ladies who attended Mum were so lovely, she felt very comfortable with them after being quite nervous about
having strangers in to help. Although care has stopped as she improved I would not hesitate to use Home Instead again and I would definitely recommend them to anyone else.

My wife was in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and wasn’t always cooperative. Nevertheless, the caring team that came to help my wife were compassionate, and very caring and did their utmost to make her comfortable and happy. The management team kept in touch and was as concerned for my welfare as that
of my wife.

Mum received absolutely fantastic care at home from Home Instead for over 12 years. This enabled her to remain at home and live independently and safely for much longer than she otherwise would have.
Her care package only ended when her total loss of mobility meant she was no longer able to remain
at home.
Particularly over her last year at home, Home Instead were able to increase her care package very quickly and was responsive at our many requests.
Communication between the management, care providers and ourselves was excellent.
The care providers often went above and beyond for Mum, as though caring for their own family members.
I absolutely cannot fault any of the staff team and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a care package for themselves or their loved ones.

This Home Instead office has been providing support for many years and I am very proud of everything that we have achieved.

My previous role was at a children’s hospice, where the person-centred care made such a difference in their quality of life. Because of that, I feel very passionate about helping people to keep their independence for as long as possible, wherever they are on life’s journey, making sure that their care matches their wishes at all times.

We couldn’t provide such great care without our brilliant staff either! They are a really dedicated team who always go the extra mile.

I have now worked for Home Instead for well over a decade, starting initially as a carer. I had previously worked with children but thought about a career change and realised that I wanted to help older people. It is very rewarding to build relationships and support our clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have progressed within the company over that time and am now the Care Manager. Every day is different and I really enjoy what I do.

I am passionate about providing the highest quality care that we can. I visit clients at home and it is wonderful when they say what a difference we make to their lives.

Away from work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and children.

Job Title: Deputy Care Manager

I started my career in the care sector a little over 30 years ago. During that time, I have been employed in a variety of care settings, working with learning disabilities, the elderly and also mental health clients in a secure unit. I have also been a Registered Manager at a residential care home.

I became a carer here in May 2018 and am now the Training and Retention Manager. I came here because I believe that we can make a real difference to people’s lives, and reassure loved ones, best of all the calls are never rushed!

In my free time, I enjoy quizzes, art and football. (It’s Stoke City if you’re wondering!).

I had a job in administration previously and also helped in the office part-time, managing the accounts.

From a very young age, I was used to meeting new people at Mum and Dad’s office when we lived in Spain.

I really enjoy finding out what makes people tick and seeing if they share Home Instead’s values.

I am so pleased to be working in my parent’s family business. Working here is fantastic because providing such a high standard of care is something I can be very proud of. I also love working with Mum; to see her every day is wonderful. My mum and I are both caring people, which definitely comes from my nan, as she used to work in a children’s residential home and with people with learning disabilities. I enjoy working with the team and helping to develop new staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and kids. We go on narrowboat holidays whenever we can.

I originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and worked for a number of years in a general surgery ward.

After a career break to look after my children, I wanted a change from a hospital environment and was looking for a care company that didn’t rush through calls and where I would be able to spend some quality time with the clients.

I have worked here now for many years and have always supported the same clients, which is very rewarding and I’ve been able to build good relationships with them. Since starting to work in the office I have been keeping care plans updated and auditing our paperwork.

I enjoy long walks with my Jack Russell terrier, time with the family and going to the cinema.
