Care Professionals are recruited through Home Instead's values-based recruitment program, whether they have prior experience in care or not, Home Instead looks for those who share its compassion, empathy, and values. Home Instead Stafford, provided excellent care for my brother who has Parkinson’s. They did everything possible to help him have an independent life; taking him to social clubs, enabling him to go on holiday as well as making sure he was comfortable in his own home. I would highly recommend them.

My whole experience of using Home Instead to provide care for my Father was excellent. The carers cooked a lovely meal each night for my father and spent time talking to him. There were 3 carers in total so he didn't have to get used to a lot of different carers. They didn't wear a uniform so know one
knew Dad had carers going in. He is a very private man so he was more comfortable with this. I felt I had alot of support from the service and nothing was too much trouble. I can't thank Home Instead enough.

Following admission to hospital at the beginning of the year, care services were arranged with the hospital discharge team on a short term basis. The care that was provided was inadequate and the provider created problems.
When the care needed to be transferred, a brokerage service was recommended
but was unable to source care.
At this point, I was extremely stressed and decided to take a chance and phone Home Instead.
It turned out to be the best decision. From the initial enquiry, the service received has been excellent.
Home Instead create solutions, not problems and staff have been supportive not only for the cared for by promoting their independence but to me as a working Mum as the communication between Home Instead and I has been key to me being able to attend to my family and work commitments knowing the cared for is being well cared for and supported.

My sister has early-onset dementia and has needed progressively more help with meals, shopping and management of her house. We started with Home Instead for a few hours a week and it finished with 4 visits per day, 7 days per week. During this time, I have been very impressed with the service. The caregivers
(as they are stylised) are very understanding and ready to go the extra mile. Mood swings can be difficult to deal with, but they handled this very well and were able to go along with whatever fiction that presents itself.

I support a very elderly gentleman, who has no family. Over the last year, his support needs significantly increased and his physical and mental health began to visibly deteriorate. It became very clear in December last year that he could not remain at home without professional care support put in place.
His home had fallen into disrepair and he was struggling to look after his own personal care needs too. I called Home Instead (Stafford) and the wonderful area manager met us at the home of the gentleman. She didn't judge but helped us plan a strategy going forward that would support this fiercely independent gentleman to stay in his own home. Her team of carers have transformed life for this gentleman. They treat him with dignity. They are always on time. They balance his practical care needs whilst also tending to his social and emotional needs. They have time to listen to his stories and reminiscences. He refers to them as 'beautiful people' who he has come to trust and rely upon.

We asked Home Instead Senior Care to help my 92-year-old Dad, who was independent living alone but struggled with preparing a meal. They were lovely and came into his home once a day and cooked him a meal of his choice and sat with him and chatted, as he was also very lonely, they talked to him about
his family and hobbies and also his past. They walked around the garden with him and sat outside with him on sunny days, he really looked forward to their visits and they even cooked him pancakes with lemon and sugar! Nothing was too much trouble and it was so reassuring for me to know that on days when I wasn’t able to see him he’d had a meal and some company. I would definitely recommend Home Instead they made such a difference to my Dad's life and helped me so much.

I cannot thank Home Instead enough for their professionalism and care. Every member of staff we dealt with from the office to the Carers themselves were brilliant with Dad and great support to my Mother and myself. It’s not like a business but a family who takes a genuine interest in their clients and
provides excellent care in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. I have already recommended them to several friends and would not hesitate in going back to them again. The staff are extremely well trained and go about their job with diligence, attention to detail and care even when Dad was having the odd bad day!

The staff provides the support my son needs in a very courteous and professional manner. They and the management are friendly and approachable and have flexible attitudes to how the care is provided. Regular feedback is provided and this is very important to us.

We’ve used Home Instead, Stafford, for many years. Since February time and throughout lockdown the staff have bent over backwards to support and care for my aunt, providing carers who are a good personality match to my aunt and frequently reviewing her care needs, being very adaptable and with the ability
to be reactive to her changing needs. For example, following a short hospital stay during lockdown my aunt needed short term extra care which they worked hard to put in place in 24 hours, including prepping the new carers for her specific needs. Any problems I’ve had, the staff in the office have listened and done their best to resolve them in a timely fashion.

I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking to have carers for their loved ones.
Having lost my dad late in 2019, my mum found herself living on her own for the first time ever. Her mobility was poor, but mentally she felt she wanted to remain in her own home.
After an initial meeting
with Home Instead, we decided to engage them, initially two visits per day. Early morning a carer would arrive and get mum up, dress her and get her breakfast. Later in the day, they would call back to get her tea.
After about 4-months, my mum's mobility began to decline, and we have to increase the visits to four per day.
After numerous night time falls and mobility getting worse, in September my mum took the decision to go into a Nursing Home.
All the carers who came to my mum's home were very professional. Each one of them was always dressed smartly, were very caring and honest. A daily diary was completed online, which was very useful, and any problems were reported to me immediately.

Home Instead provided a valuable home care service to my 95-year-old mum. The team enabled her to remain independent and living at home whilst receiving care from the Home Instead team. The staff helped my mum with daily living duties, personal washing, laundry and shopping, visiting her each day for
several months after she found she did not like being in a care home. The staff were always friendly, responsive and helpful to Mum and provided her with some social contact each day as well. As she became less able and her health was failing, the team were able to provide more input into her care. My mum wanted to stay at home for as long as she could with home care support until the point where she needed medical care and the service did enable her to do just that whilst maintaining a degree of independence. I would definitely recommend Home Instead to anyone in a position who could benefit from their services.

We have had a contract with Home Instead Stafford for the past few years. Gradually increasing the number of days as my husband's health deteriorated.
Having had contact with another care agency previously we found the care givers from Home Instead exceeded our expectations. My husband was treated
with respect, dignity and compassion. I believe he would not have been able to remain at home for as long as he did without them. Now, unfortunately, he is in a care home but between us we did manage to look after him for as long as possible.
We are very grateful to Home Instead and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing to organise care or companionship for a relative or friend.

The Home Instead Team were fantastic and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They were kind, patient, friendly and caring, and happily dealt with whatever they were faced with! Unfortunately, my dad is in hospital now but we will absolutely turn to the Home Instead Team again for their wonderful
help and support when he returns home following rehab. I can't say a big enough thanks to the staff for taking such great care of my dad, and the manager and staff who were always at the end of the phone for further support and advice.

I have been taking care of my 95-year-old Dad for 14-years, and he was reluctant to have care. I contacted Home Instead, they were very professional and so caring from my first contact. The care manager came and spent time with Dad and me, and then a carer was introduced - they spent time getting to
know us. The compassion and care shown to Dad was exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They have the care that you would give yourself - excellent. Thank you.

The gentle care and understanding my husband received during your time with him was, without a doubt, amazing. For me, it was like welcoming a supportive friend into the house and the burden of care floated off my shoulders for the first time in months. Even after he went into care you paid him a visit,
giving him a sense of continuity, and myself deep comfort.

Home Instead looked after my father for around 4 years.
We had been allocated other care companies in the past who had let us down severely and so it was a welcome and refreshing change to see how Home Instead really cared about all aspects of their clients.
• Punctuality and Reliability
• Care/Warmth/Health
and Welfare
• Systems (if we needed to tweak arrangements) getting through to speak to someone never a challenge.

I can honestly say that the team allowed my father to retain as much of his freedom as he possibly could have.
Although he was never one to worry about his appearance whilst I was growing up, whilst he was in the charge of Home Instead he was always, clean, fresh and impeccably turned out by the team.
I can't recommend them enough.

We began using Home Instead as additional help when Mum was caring for my Dad. They were cheerful and capable, reliable and kind. When my Mum needed extra help herself, we approached Home Instead again. Their manner assessing the person's need is professional and they enter a dialogue to discuss ways
of assisting. Mum's regular carers were unfailingly kind and friendly, respectful and considerate. They made staying at home manageable for Mum and we as family far away were reassured and supported by knowing the care was regular, trustworthy, and truly caring. They try and meet your needs on timings as best they can and make themselves available to discuss alterations if needed. I have already recommended them to other friends with elderly parents who need a bit of extra help. I will always be grateful to them.

Home Instead offered excellent, compassionate and professional care to my mum who has advanced Alzheimer’s. Their carers were well trained for my mum’s needs and really took the time to get to know her and her preferences. The management team was helpful, organised and efficient - rotas were well organised,
they ensured continuity of care and were always quick to deal with any adjustments. Thank you Home Instead!

This Home Instead office has been providing support for many years and I am very proud of everything that we have achieved.

My previous role was at a children’s hospice, where the person-centred care made such a difference in their quality of life. Because of that, I feel very passionate about helping people to keep their independence for as long as possible, wherever they are on life’s journey, making sure that their care matches their wishes at all times.

We couldn’t provide such great care without our brilliant staff either! They are a really dedicated team who always go the extra mile.

I have now worked for Home Instead for well over a decade, starting initially as a carer. I had previously worked with children but thought about a career change and realised that I wanted to help older people. It is very rewarding to build relationships and support our clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have progressed within the company over that time and am now the Care Manager. Every day is different and I really enjoy what I do.

I am passionate about providing the highest quality care that we can. I visit clients at home and it is wonderful when they say what a difference we make to their lives.

Away from work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and children.

I started my career in the care sector a little over 30 years ago. During that time, I have been employed in a variety of care settings, working with learning disabilities, the elderly and also mental health clients in a secure unit. I have also been a Registered Manager at a residential care home.

I became a carer here in May 2018 and am now the Training and Retention Manager. I came here because I believe that we can make a real difference to people’s lives, and reassure loved ones, best of all the calls are never rushed!

In my free time, I enjoy quizzes, art and football. (It’s Stoke City if you’re wondering!).

From a very young age, I was used to meeting new people at Mum and Dad’s office when we lived in Spain.

I really enjoy finding out what makes people tick and seeing if they share Home Instead’s values.

I am so pleased to be working in my parent’s family business. Working here is fantastic because providing such a high standard of care is something I can be very proud of. I also love working with Mum; to see her every day is wonderful. My mum and I are both caring people, which definitely comes from my nan, as she used to work in a children’s residential home and with people with learning disabilities. I enjoy working with the team and helping to develop new staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and kids. We go on narrowboat holidays whenever we can.

After a career break to look after my children, I wanted a change from a hospital environment and was looking for a care company that didn’t rush through calls and where I would be able to spend some quality time with the clients.

I have worked here now for many years and have always supported the same clients, which is very rewarding and I’ve been able to build good relationships with them. Since starting to work in the office I have been keeping care plans updated and auditing our paperwork.
