I write to express my total satisfaction with the exemplary care services provided by Home Instead last year in caring for my mother during the last few weeks of her life. From the timely manner in which they acted upon our initial phone call requesting support and through to the final session, they
were always attentive to her needs and changes in circumstances as the services required moved from hourly visits to 'sleep ins' and 'end of life' care. The Carers were all first class, well presented, sociable, and related well with my mother. It was a real comfort and benefit to her that the same group of Carers were used throughout and she did not have to remember too many names! I would also like to thank and acknowledge the support and attention to detail provided by the Operations Director, Registered Care Manager and Senior Carer. They all communicated well with us in keeping us informed and, at the same time ensuring that all services were provided in line with Covid regulations.

My mother required the services of Home Instead twice, over a three year period when her usual carer went into the hospital for a small operation and again when she needed a little extra help with her daily routine. The company stepped up and responded quickly and efficiently on both occasions. She
had a very good and close relationship with all of the caregivers who visited her, they assisted her in carrying on as near to normal as possible. In her latter days, she was treated efficiently, courteously and with sensitivity. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home instead to others.

We have been using Home Instead care agency for my dad over the last few months and are extremely happy with the service received. The staff have been excellent, providing a high quality of care and dignity. They are always exceedingly kind and caring, and my dad has been very content and happy with
all they do for him. There is only a small number of carers that attend to my dad's needs, so they know him well, and it's reassuring for Dad to know who is coming daily. As a family, we are incredibly happy with the care, support and treatment our Dad has received and would highly recommend the care provider.

My mother-in-law's care started late autumn 2019 and has been exemplary, especially so during these trying times of the pandemic. Carers have always been cheerful, helpful, patient and have gone above and beyond their duties on several occasions when an emergency arose and nothing has been too much.
Their thoughtfulness and caring attitude does them and the company, great credit and has been much appreciated.

All the staff have been very caring and sensitive to my husband's needs. His condition, Alzheimer's, means he can be both challenging and amenable, all within the same hour or so. They make him feel welcome and show great kindness. It has given me great peace of mind knowing I can leave him in safe
hands. The support we both receive is very much appreciated.

We started to have carers for Mum when my Dad could no longer cope with trying to bathe her. Home Instead were recommended to us and we immediately found them very professional and caring. They came in three times a week to attend to her needs, but they really stepped up when our Dad became ill and
was admitted to hospital on a Friday evening. As our Mum’s primary carer it left us with the problem of how to care for her 24 hours a day, but by Monday afternoon the Care Manager had found and arranged a care home place for our Mum, and she moved there on the Tuesday afternoon. She also put in place care for our Dad who came home from hospital that same afternoon. He was visited two to three times a day by the same fabulous carers that had been looking after Mum, so seeing familiar faces eased his recovery. We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for care in their own home without hesitation – they would seem to be the gold standard which others should be measured against.

Home Instead Thanet looked after my mother-in-law who is a dementia sufferer for 2 years. During that time the care she received was outstanding. I always thought she was treated with care, dignity and as an individual, rather than "just another" client. When she had an accident they attended the hospital,
helped with her care afterwards and were always very considerate. The manager is a gem and was always prepared to answer any questions and, when required, advise me and would frequently go way beyond the call of duty and out of hours to provide care. I would strongly recommend Home Instead Thanet.

Home Instead were really helpful in providing full-time care for my mother when my father was hospitalised, at very short notice. Initially this was for 48 hours but actually lasted for two months. This was a great help to us as there was no family living nearby.

We had noticed changes in our father’s behaviour including spells of memory loss. Following medical diagnosis that he had the onset of severe dementia we decided to seek out care to enable him to stay in his own home for as long as possible. We interrogated all the CQC reports for Care Providers in
the Ramsgate area and found that the Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate team had an excellent result with great user reviews. After meeting with their Senior Manager at my father’s property an action plan was agreed. In our case, it was an hourly daily visit at 8 am to ensure my father was up, had washed and had something to eat. This plan was reviewed as time went on and was increased and reduced as both parties found necessary. We found the team extremely professional, caring, patient and friendly. Unfortunately, our father’s condition deteriorated and he is now in permanent care. However, I have recommended the service to a friend who has similar concerns with her father.

Access to and quality of care is 1st class. Care given to the client with dementia was exceptional right from the early onset days to round the clock care at home when the client was confined to a hospital bed at her home until sadly she passed away. The care manager was always available to give advice
and send in carers at short notice to cover an emergency and visited on many occasions herself to offer companionship.
After she passed away carers were still required to look out for my father in law at 96 years old and have continued to do so in an exemplary way. He is taken to hospital appointments when required, and they are happy to do local shopping and prepare meals for him on the days they visit.
I live 200 miles away, so it's good to know he is in good hands, their help is much appreciated.

Although Dad was reluctant to have carers initially we came to value their visits and the care they provided. The carers were always proactive and responded to requests made promptly.


They provided the link that I was unable to because of travelling distance and time to provide.

It is hard to express in a few words the difference Home Instead made to the lives of each member of our family. Over a period of 4 years, the Home Instead team cared for our elderly mother plus our special needs sister in their own home.


The Home Instead team looked after our mother right through

to her peaceful death in her own home. They cared with efficiency and tenderness and always conscious of maintaining her dignity.


At the same time, the team in the office were masterminding our sister's complicated daily schedule with patience and humour, as well as caring for her and giving her the support and help she needed.


All the team became friends and our mother and sister grew very fond of each one of them.


We are so grateful we were recommended to try Home Instead. My brother and I living a good distance away could not have managed without them and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone in need.

We have used Home Instead Senior Care for the last 6 months. They were prompt to return my call, some and assess our needs and start giving personal care. My husband has one main caregiver and several others who cover holidays/sickness etc...
All were introduced to him/us by his main carer, prior to
giving care themselves. All are them are very good with my husband, kind, gentle, encouraging and engage him in conversation. His main carer has been with us from day 1, she is excellent with my husband, she achieves all that is needed with his personal care but gives him time, chats to and talks through what she's doing. She knows when he's not feeling 100% and will discuss this with me.
I consider her a friend of ours - not only his caregiver - a great help.

Excellent care, over and above what was booked. I had been unable to visit mum due to the flu and a chest infection. Carers saw to her meals, tidied the kitchen and bedroom. They were able to cover all extra days required of them. They were required to only provided companion care.
