I enjoy meeting 2 members of staff who seem to be happy in their work. They help me relax and to prepare the evening meals. They help my husband with some housework. Sometimes I become agitated.

I would recommend Home Instead Sheffield without hesitation. They have been providing home care to my mother for the last few years. All the staff that I have been in contact with have been exceptionally helpful. They provide a high standard of care to my mother and are diligent and professional in
all respects. They have also been very pleasant and friendly to interact with. There is nothing at all that I could fault in their provision of care. Given the extreme difficulty that the organisation and individuals must have faced due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this is truly outstanding.

I needed someone for face-to-face interaction towards the end of the lockdown. This was because no one was allowed to come into my flat to sit and chat, leaving me very depressed and anxious; I have no relatives in the Sheffield area. The Home Instead manager was very understanding and chose exactly
the right person. I enjoy her visits when we chat and she helps me with things I find difficult, some things one would ask of a relative. I now feel much more positive.

I am extremely pleased with the care supplied by the two young women carers I have. They are different personalities with their own individual skills and between them they make me feel very secure. I am in reasonably good physical health but have arthritis which will make me increasingly dependant and
though I have good friends and family I prefer to make my own independent arrangements for the future. I'm very glad I got in touch with your organisation.

I have been very pleased with the service provided. The carer is polite and looks smart. I feel confident to go out knowing my husband is being supervised. The carer will do some household tasks and make a snack with my husband.

I find Home Instead to be a very friendly and acceptable concern in the community. Well worth getting involved with and giving it the time of day. For a disabled person and cannot get out easily, they are there to provide that opportunity. If one has a problem with a caregiver or you do not get along
with each other then Home Instead will be willing to relocate you to someone else. Do not give up on them through differences.

The outstanding characteristic of Home Instead is that their staff genuinely care, rather than just turn up and execute tasks. Mum has Alzheimer's and simply could not cope with a stream of different carers so the continuity provided in her care by Home Instead is very highly valued. I continue to recommend
Home Instead and was very pleased to hear a friend's delight with Home Instead's service after she adopted my recommendation.

The caregiver...what can I say about her?
Caring, supportive, a person Mum looks forward to coming to see her, and we couldn't do without her.
During the pandemic lockdown, went above and beyond to try and support Mum - blessed to have her as our caregiver.

The carers I have had have been the kindest, gentlest and capable people who are to be trusted with older people. They are efficient and never panic in any situation.

My friend looks forward to meeting her carer to go out once a week. It enables her to have a degree of independence and normality in her life. Also to choose things for herself rather than someone else doing it for her.

Before we started to receive help, there was a very impressive meeting with office staff (thoughtful and strategic), to put in place the best assistance needed. The 3 ladies we have had come, have been a perfect match for the very special needs of my wife.

I am very happy with the service provided by Home Instead Senior Care. My companion, who comes each week for 3 hours, is very good company and easy to get on with. I see her as a younger sister I never had. Long may she continue to support me in years to come.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.700 for Home Instead (South Sheffield) is calculated as follows: ( (114 Excellents x 5) + (28 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 150 Ratings = 4.7
