Our mother was in her early 90s when looked after by carers from Home Instead for the 3 years to February 2023. She had carers with her all morning plus early evening. Whilst we her sons visited a lot, we both lived a long way away, so we needed to be able to rely on carers.


The individual carers

were excellent – very professional, experienced, and very responsive and caring. They were very receptive to mum’s desires to go in the garden, or go for a drive into the countryside or whatever. Whilst there were a few changes of personnel over the years, there was a great deal of stability and most carers were with mum for a long time.


The organisation of Home Instead was also excellent. We felt very confident about mum’s safety and well-being. Whilst very occasionally carers were unavoidably a little late, someone always came; mum was never left alone for long. We were kept informed about her health, and always advised of any incidents. We would recommend Home Instead very highly.

After a very thorough initial assessment of Mum's needs and a meeting to introduce her to her team of carers, Mum's support package started in September.
Mum's carers are respectful, caring, friendly and professional. Communication from the carers about Mum's needs has been excellent. In a rapidly
changing situation, their observations of any additional needs or suggestions regarding equipment or tips to improve Mum's day-to-day life have been welcome.
The office responds very quickly to emails and phone calls and has been able to sort out any changes to the rota that we have requested.
We contacted Home Instead after hearing positive reports about them. We would be happy to recommend them.

I live in the Southern Hemisphere and have been back twice this year, once for my Mother's funeral and the second time for my Father's 90th birthday. Home Instead have been coming on and off for about seven years - probably longer - the first occasion was help after my Mother's hip operation. Since
short periods of help in the early days it became 7 days a week for my Mother, now for my Father. At all times over this period, we have never had anything but good natured help, professional attention, friendliness and kindness. I know that when back home I can call at any time and check in with the office if I have a concern or want an accurate update instead of the standard "We're fine"! I feel extremely fortunate to have such a good team to care for my parents, and really appreciate their hard work and cheerful faces every morning. Communication has always been good and nothing is too much trouble. Between us, all everything works brilliantly. I would highly recommend my local team.

Home Instead have been brilliant, they were like a knight in shining armour coming to our rescue when we were let down at short notice by another agency.
It has now been two months since they started caring for dad and I'm able to feel much more relaxed as I feel he's in good hands.
Their management
and staff have all been wonderful and my dad is a lot happier than he was previously.
The carers are all very kind and skilled at finding ways to engage Dad and have a chat, he's been complimentary about them.
Nothing is too much trouble and they've been proactive in suggesting ways they can help.
Communication has been very good and their staff are trained to deal with dementia, which is one of my dad's health issues. The previous agency also said their staff were trained in dealing with dementia but it became obvious that some of them had no idea.
They may be a little more expensive than others, but sometimes you get what you pay for and I feel very thankful to have found them.

I've been with Home Instead for seven months and I wouldn't use any other care company. The carers are fantastic nothing is too much trouble. Any problems are sorted straight away. They have helped my confidence build. Home Instead are excellent, I would recommend them 110%.

I cannot thank Home Instead enough for the support and care they have shown to my parents. Before they arrived due to Dad's dementia and Mum's conditions they weren't eating or taking medications regularly, just sleeping day and night. After just two weeks the difference is amazing, I've got my mum
back and Dad is interacting which is fantastic. You have given them a new lease of life. Thank you.

For the last year, Home Instead has provided daily care for my mother, who is over 90 with moderate dementia as well as hearing and vision defects. They are consistently attentive and empathetic and provide proper care, not just box ticking. Levels of communication with family are excellent to ensure
they do the job properly and the client feels properly valued and looked after. My mother is not the easiest customer but is uniform in her praise of the work done and crucially her liking for all the carers - no favourites, and none that she isn't pleased to see. I would wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead from both the care and administrative points of view.

My family has only required the the support from the Home Instead team recently to help with our parent who has dementia and living on her own at home.
From the initial contact we received a professional response putting the needs of the user first discussing the most appropriate plan of support.
The
care that is being provided is of a high standard and the people delivering it are so caring and take time to talk and get to know the client.
Communication is again of a high standard passing information on regarding any changes for example I received a telephone call from the manager asking if it would be ok for them to introduce another carer as we coming into holiday season and staff would be on leave. This is very proactive and again putting my parents needs first.
Overall extremely impressed with the service.

I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough for the care they provided for my Mum. The carers were all amazing in going out of their way to make Mum comfortable. They happily made her favourite meals and did the household chores in her preferred way. They showed unfailing kindness and respect to her
so that she looked forward to their visits and considered them friends. The team readily adapted to the changes and increased the care mum needed as time went on. We couldn't have asked for better care for her. Thank you so much.

We cannot praise Home Instead and their wonderful carers highly enough. They often go above and beyond the call of duty and are kind, considerate and very respectful when looking after my father. He sees them all as friends and really enjoys their visits. They make a huge difference to his life and
to the rest of the family as we know how well he is being looked after.

Home Instead Senior Care gave me the help and support needed at a time when my husband could not be left alone in the house. I was grateful that his last days were spent at home - until the end when he was admitted to hospital and sadly died there after one week.

We have been using the services of Home Instead now for 2/3 years and are more than happy with the service they provide. We have found the carers to be extremely efficient in the work they carry out sometimes going above and beyond their duties. All of them have a very friendly nature and most importantly,
my aunt is more than pleased, so much so, that she calls them friends. With living some distance away, it is of great satisfaction to know that she is being cared for by a very professional team that caters for all her needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services to anyone else safe in the knowledge that they are more than capable of handling all situations.

Home Instead have provided a great service for my father-in-law, nothing is too much trouble, all of our requirements have been met and the staff both at management level and those giving the care have been fantastic. My father-in-law considered his 'ladies' to be friends. Home Instead has given us
comfort in being able to leave the professionals to what they do best and have helped to alleviate some of the pressure from us of caring and worrying for a loved one.

Mum has been receiving care for two years. Initially, she only needed one call per day, but late last year she suffered a stroke. It was the carer who found Mum. She handled the emergency brilliantly, summoning an ambulance, and then with her manager they proceeded to tidy the house and make it secure.
They also kept me informed about what was happening.
Mum now has three calls per day, but with the support of her carers, she is able to remain independent, at home, which is a key priority for her. The carers do whatever needs to be done, and the team communicate with me and advise if changes need to be made.
I am very happy with the support they give us.

I have been associated with Home Instead Senior Care for the past decade. My sister-in-law received the highest possible quality of care during that period. Sadly she passed away recently and Home Instead Senior Care were represented at the funeral by people from all levels of the company. The consistency

I joined the East Cheshire team of Home Instead in 2021 as the Registered Care Manager, supporting the team to provide person-centred, high-quality, relationship-led care.


Over the past 14 years, I have worked within various Health and Social Care environments and now bring the skills and knowledge I have gained over the years to Home Instead. My role involves overseeing the service ensuring that all our clients receive the best possible levels of support and managing the overall delivery of our service within East Cheshire. Having personal experiences of care at home for my own family, I understand the importance of matching our clients with the right Care Professionals to provide the right mix of personal touch and expertise.


Every day, I support our office team and Care Professionals ensuring that we know all the little things which make care personal for our clients to achieve the outcomes they want to achieve. We do this whilst remaining responsive to changing needs and providing a bespoke service to everyone we support. I look forward to speaking to our clients, their families and our Care Professionals each day.


I strongly believe that people should be able to remain living at home and in a way in which they choose to do so, and the Home Instead ethos enables us to do just that!

I have been working in the private sector for 31 years, in different roles including the Dementia journey. The last 7 years with the family at Home Instead, delivering the training and recently becoming the Registered Care Manager. I joined the Home Instead team in May 2022 to help recruit and retain the highest quality Care Professionals for our wonderful clients. More recently, I now support our Group from an operations perspective.


I have more than a decade of experience in management and recruitment, and I’m finding it incredibly rewarding to use these skills to have a positive impact on people’s lives.


When my dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, I took on the role of carer alongside my mum, so I have first-hand experience of the role and I know what qualities and attributes to look out for in prospective candidates. As challenging as this was for me, I’m so grateful I could do this for my dad in his time of need.


When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my children and partner. After years of shift work, it's lovely to have ‘normal’ working hours so I can spend more time in the evening and on weekends with my loved ones.
