Effective communication with the managers regarding booking and sharing relevant information and feedback. Assigned care worker has professional attitude, lovely approach and proper skills needed to attend the needs of the service user. All booking confirmed in writing. I would appreciate if another
care assistant could be introduced and suitably trained to support my son in the near future as his needs are likely to increase due to transition to supported living accommodation.

When my husband was first diagnosed with needing night care, Nurseplus were chosen for us. We asked our community nurses and dementia nurse for advice on them. Each and every person we asked said we were so lucky to have Nurseplus. Two years on certainly know how lucky we are. They are the best. And
we appreciate them more and more every time. Without fail, each carer who comes in is kind, attentive, respectful and professional. My husband is comforted by their presence and I have absolute confidence his needs are being looked after.
The management and office staff are also fantastic. So helpful with advice. Very proactive on the occasions where my husband has had to go into hospital. Always available (no matter what the hour of the day) and contactable by phone, e-mail or text message, whatever you prefer.
Thank you Nurseplus.

Very happy with the service from Southampton Nurseplus, in supplying us with incidental cover for my client when her regular carers are away. The cover staff we have had all fit in well to the regular care team, which is not always easy when they don't know the client as well, and the client has been
happy with their support.

Nurseplus are a friendly organisation. The care they give is fantastic. So obliging with Mum, nothing is too much. Mum classes them as friends rather than workers, which is so lovely. Such a trustworthy company, always on hand when I need them. Thank you Nurseplus.

Nurseplus has been instrumental in encouraging my daughter who has multiple chronic health conditions and brain acquired injury, to become more independent. She has 4 ladies on a regular basis to help with consistency with her routine and memory issues.

These Nurseplus ladies are brilliant at supporting

her, prompting and organizing her home and daily routine, including personal care and prompting with her medications, shopping, and preparing healthy foods and meals for her especially when she has had a pseudo fit/transient ischemic attack and is uncoordinated and not safe in the kitchen.

These ladies help provide vital company during the day for her and help with her artwork to help maintain her hand to eye coordination which is vital with brain acquired injury, plus keep her safe and comfortable and occasionally take her to the brain injury charity. Overall a very understanding and well put together team with a great variety of helpful skill sets.

Tiring having a stream of new carers who need to be taught almost everything from scratch and when trained they are not seen again!

My mother has complex needs which are clearly laid out in the 'Care, Risk and Task Plans'. Increasingly we are discovering that much of the 1 hour morning visits is not delivering even 25% of the agreed tasks. When we raise the issue there is some improvement for a few days and then a rapid decline
of service. Management are aware of our concerns but appear to be unable to improve the service. Some of the carers are very good but these are employed on the 1/2 hour evening visit where less tasks are scheduled. A recent oversight resulted in a potentially risky situation which was averted (just) by a family visit.

Reply from Sian, Branch Manager at Nurseplus Care at home Southampton

This review was created before we had a meeting with the service user's son and he highlighted his concerns to us. Upon receiving this information we immediately reviewed the care package and the carer in question was removed. We introduced a new carer to the package who has proved to be very proactive in ensuring the service user receives the agreed care and support as agreed by the family. All reviews/meetings since have been positive.

All our comments would have been the good and excellent categories if you had not experienced a sudden and unwarranted staffing shortage.

My brother has had nurse plus agency caring for him for two and a half years. He has four carers a day and during that time including his personal care has been good. When he has been taken ill they have dealt with it immediately. Having MND my brother needs a lot of help including getting in and out
of bed and I understand from him that this is dealt with very efficiently. I always find him clean, well looked after and most of all very happy. He never complains to me of any problems. If for whatever reason a carer does not turn up he telephones the agency and a carer is sent immediately. He is very satisfied.

I like my carer, she helps me shop, she helps me with my saving. I like her she does not rush around and understands me. I have people come and see me 5 days a week and they are very good. They know what yogurts I like to have.

The co-ordinators do their best to supply the same carer for my wife who has Alzheimer's. The carers are very conscious of her needs and I am satisfied with their skills etc.

Nurse Plus have just started caring for my mother- so early days yet, but first impressions good and definitely better than others. More time and additional "little things" given that others would not have thought of.

My mother, aged 83, has been looked after by the carers at Nurse Plus for a year. My mother is not the easiest person to get on with and the carers have been very kind, helpful and given her the professional care she has needed and they all have done things for her that wasn't on their jobs to do.
The carers at Nurse Plus all do think beyond the call of duty. I am a carer myself so know when I see professional care being done, as I live in Cornwall the office at Nurse Plus have been keeping me updated as to mums health and being. I would recommend this agency to anyone that wants professional carers and they do care, it's not just "a job" to the carers at Nurse Plus, well done them.
