My carers treat me with the utmost respect and dignity.
Nothing is too much trouble.
I am really sorry to be losing my locality manager who has been such a back up to the team.
The background team have moved to a head office location, thus it is too early to comment.
There have been many communication
issues in the past, so this may improve things.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.250) out of 10 for Pramacare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.750 for Pramacare is calculated as follows: ( (9 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 4.75

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Pramacare is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have over 20 years of experience in the care sector, working with and supporting older people living with dementia, and physical disabilities, and those receiving end-of-life care. During my career, I have been a Registered Manager and a Regional Trainer. I am passionate about person-centred care, always placing the person at the centre of everything we do.

At Prama our clients come first. So, my role is to promote person-centred care which means that all of our clients have a care plan tailored to their individual needs and that they receive safe and effective care, whilst encouraging independence and dignity.

I am responsible for compliance, so I ensure that Prama complies with CQC regulations and that we have adequate policies, training and monitoring in place. This means we can provide you with outstanding care (rated in our last CQC report) and importantly, the best care possible with someone who we would want caring for our own family.

I am the Care Centre Manager and have worked at Prama for over 8 years and in Care for longer. I've had a number of roles here, starting as a Locality Manager with responsibility for my own clients and the care team, overseeing the delivery of care. I also help with auditing and referrals.

I now manage the Care coordinator team, answer client phone calls and coordinate the carer's schedules and rotas. I also look to ensure continuity of carers as we know this is important to our clients.
