I am happy with my carers and they treat me, on the whole, like my granddaughters and understand my moods. I lost my ability to write while I was in hospital, but they encouraged me to try and do the review myself, I could not even sign my own name. We have lovely conversations, they say they enjoy
hearing about days gone by. They wipe away my tears and make me smile again. God bless them.

99% of the time, no problems, but my mum suffers terrible anxiety and expects the carers at the agreed times ie 9,00-10.00 am, 12.00-12.30, 16.00-17.30 and
9.00-20.30. If they happen to be earlier, that is not a problem but if they are later it causes terrible stress. If the night carers is not there
by 9.30, she presses her telecare line for them to contact me.

I would like to say how humbled I was by the quality of care provided by this company, nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were always polite, professional and concerned for my welfare as well as my husbands (who was their client). My husband constantly said how good they were with him
during a really difficult time for him, and they cheered up when no-one else could. I would like to mention three particular ladies as they became more like friends to our family, and my husband especially had a soft spot for them. I cannot praise you all enough and would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone. It is a very hard and demanding job for anyone to do, and very difficult not to get emotionally involved with clients when you are seeing them so much and at their most vulnerable. Thank you seems very inadequate, but I would like to say a massive thank you to you all.

Thank you so much, Julie, for your lovely review. We are delighted to read your husband has received quality care from Stocks Homecare and Nursing Services.
We are also delighted to hear how Stocks Hall Carers have integrated with your family, giving you both emotional support in addition to practical Care support towards your Husband's needs.
Thank you for your encouragement to our Staff and recommendation of us as a Company.
Kind regards.

Dawn has been a great asset to all our teams and services here at Stocks Hall Nursing & Care Group. Her journey began after working for many years with children, Dawn wanted to try her hand at caring for the elderly so her career at Stocks Hall Homecare began. For 3 years, she worked in her local community caring for people in the comfort of their own homes.

Knowing we have 6 other care homes, Dawn wanted to see what it was like to care in a dedicated setting and so started work in our Skelmersdale home. Also working alongside her passionate Senior Carer son at the home, Dawn worked on our Nursing unit for 3 years up until early 2023. The love and passion for caring for others must run in their genes as they are both fantastic at what they do!

We were thrilled when Dawn came back to us at Homecare and after quickly picking up where she left off, she was promoted to a Senior with her wealth of knowledge and expertise. Dawn is also our ‘Moving & Handling’ and will be one of the friendly faces you meet as new staff and if you require our services.
