When I moved to a flat with a walk in shower with no support rails, which I was too nervous to use while in the house alone, I called on Tendacare again, who not only helped me to shower safely, but also showed me where I needed rails, so that I quickly regained my confidence and independence.
Everyone who visited me treated me with kindness and respect and I was very happy in their care. I only wish I had called for help sooner.

My name is Sue Smith and I am the owner and registered manager of Tendacare.
It is over 30 years since I had the 'dream' of having my own business. When leaving school I trained as a nurse and after a few years of working in various staff nursing posts, I became a district nurse and worked in the community.
During this time I could see there was a need arising for people to be able to organise and be in control of the support they needed at home with personal care needs and gradually Tendacare was born and the business grew.
Now I continue to be responsible for leading and directing the homecare service that we provide employing 50 staff who share the same commitment and values as I had when it first began. With pride, I can say that Tendacare has a really good team of staff who know and understand how to set up and follow through packages of care that will give the outcomes our clients desire.
