We are just beginning evening help via social services from Westminster Homecare and are really pleased. They spent a lot of time, listening and guiding us through at the start. They send help at the times we requested. The carers are kind and willing. They listen and give us the help we need.

Mum started receiving care at the start of November 2024. She has four visits a day from a team of two and I can honestly say they have been absolutely brilliant. I recently asked Mum how she is getting on with the carers and she said they were all really good. For mum to say that, is a huge compliment.
I asked if she had a favourite and she replied that of course she hasn't, if the others found out they wouldn't like it! Thanks for what you've done Westminster and keep up the excellent work.

I found the overall experience of carers from Westminster Agency very pleasant, they were always very professional, kind and courteous and treated my husband with great dignity whilst he was suffering from a terminal illness and was receiving palliative care. I will always be grateful to them for making
his end-of-life care as comfortable as possible.

Reply from Sanjay Raju, Digitial Marketing Lead at Westminster Homecare (Norwich)

Your gratitude truly touches us; we are honoured to have been there for you and your family. Wishing you strength and peace in the days ahead. Take care.

My carers seem to want to learn about my complex needs.
Very caring.
I seem to have the new overseas carers who are initially needing training for my needs. My husband is essential for this. Once told they act on my needs.
Mutual respect is most important. I believe this is the only way for care
user, office and carer to have a good working relationship!

Timekeeping is a big problem. I requested my Carer for 9 am each day. The timetable does not keep to this and often the carer is timetabled for 9.45 or even 10.10 and sometimes does not arrive until much later, especially at weekends. The reason often given by the carers is not enough time allowed
between calls to meet the schedule.

Reply from Sanjay Raju, Digitial Marketing Lead at Westminster Homecare (Norwich)

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the timing issues you have experienced. We understand the importance of punctuality in our services, and your feedback is crucial to us. We are taking immediate steps to address this issue with our scheduling team. Rest assured, we're committed to ensuring that your care needs are met efficiently and promptly. Three-quarter of an hour call booked, nearly always arrive three-quarters of an hour before time, finish in half an hour by not doing all that is required. Staff in the main have been in the country a very short time, do not know us, our way of living and questionable their command of our language,
they also appear to be undertrained and make the same mistakes. This being their last call and having accrued time savings on previous calls are keen to make more here thus finishing about an hour earlier. After several weeks I still have to shadow them to correct their mistakes. Two instances of rudeness and false stories were given to the office when giving their version of the problem. Apart from one carer I cannot switch off and relax through not having confidence in the staff visiting. We are paying good money for second-rate service which has not improved from day one.

Reply from Sanjay Raju, Digitial Marketing Lead at Westminster Homecare (Norwich)

We truly appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts with us, and we want to extend our sincere apologies for the dissatisfaction experienced. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are truly sorry that our service has not met the expectations.
Please know that we are actively investigating the issue you have raised and taking immediate steps to address them. It is our absolute commitment to provide exceptional care, and we deeply regret that you have not felt the full benefit of our service.
We understand how crucial it is for you to feel confident and at ease with our team. Rest assured, we are implementing additional training and support measures to ensure our staff is well-equipped and well-trained to meet your standards.
We genuinely apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding, we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience in the future.
Kind Regards

The team from Westminster Homecare (Norwich) have been brilliant. They visit between arranged times and will support my brother in whatever way is needed at the time. It could be making him breakfast and talking to him, helping him with a shower or cleaning. The main thing I notice is that his mood
lifts and he feels that someone cares about him.

Reply from zoe Dent, Branch Manager at Westminster Homecare (Norwich)

Thank you for the lovely review. We are pleased to see that the care your brother is receiving is having a positive impact on him. This will be fed back to our staff. If we are able to assist further then please do contact us.
