In 2018 we brought Home Instead in to assist Mum as her health was failing, and she was living on her own. Living on the continent, we could not visit at a "drop of a hat". At first, Mum was very apprehensive, being so independent all her life. Within a few visits, she enjoyed the carers coming in,
and their visits became very much part of her daily routine. Over the years, the care time was revised to provide the service needed. During the past 3-years, Home Instead (carers and office staff) have been wonderful, caring for Mum, organizing and guiding. They were very reliable. Access to the app helped us to keep in touch too. Looking back, it was the right decision to take on their services, enabling Mum to stay as independent as possible for as long as possible. And for us, we were always certain she was being looked after. Our sincere thanks to Home Instead.

Carers are always informing me of any issues and concerns. Very professional and helpful in the care they give, and care is outstanding and getting what is ever needed. Always put the client first.

Home Instead have provided support for my mother for many years. Her ‘girls’ as she called them, enabled her to stay in her own home until she was 101. They were unfailingly kind and caring, she always looked forward to seeing them. Not only did they support my mother, when things were difficult, but
they also supported us, the family. We owe a great debt to all those caregivers.

Thank you for taking the time to send a review, we will pass your kind words on to the team and in particular to her 'girls'. It has been the greatest of pleasures to support your Mother and the family for such a long time.

We as a family found the caregivers at Home Instead to be friendly, helpful and above all dedicated to the care of our mum, nothing was too much trouble despite some challenges they faced, we particularly liked the continuity of caregivers and this was very much appreciated given mums condition. From
caregivers to office staff we couldn’t rate Home Instead highly enough and wish to put on record our thanks to everyone who cared for mum, if you are considering a care company for your loved one take it from us you won’t be disappointed.

Home Instead have been fantastic in their care for Dad. He has Alzheimer's and the caregivers are very caring and understanding of his needs. They competently help with the personal care and the practical house/meal duties. Plus they take time to have a chat, which is really important for a social,
chatty man like Dad. They feedback worries and the app is great to be able to see what is happening on each visit. When we have needed extra care the office have been quick to make this happen for us. Thank you!

We had two new carers starting in July 2020, both have settled in well in their interaction with my wife. They mainly read to my wife and provide tea or coffee when appropriate. I know comparisons are odious, but they do not appear to provide the stimulation that my wife requires. Previous carers have
assisted my wife in simple crafts or helping in cooking and playing simple card games. I have suggested these things, but they do not seem to use their initiative in these ways.

Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to complete the review. One of the team will be in touch with you today to discuss how we can support with ideas for the new Caregivers, while your normal Caregiver is on maternity leave. We know it can be difficult when changing Caregivers which is why we work to have continuity of care. We have lots of ideas and support we can give to Caregivers, along with craft materials in our office which we can bring out to clients and Caregivers to help with stimulation.

My dad was a fiercely independent and often stubborn and difficult man. He employed Home Instead Senior Care for an hour a day in November 2019. His physical abilities and mobility deteriorated quite rapidly in 2020. Home Instead Senior Care organised equipment and liaised with the GP and health services
enabling Dad to stay at home. The staff were caring, kind, knowledgeable and professional. His last months were dignified and happy thanks to Home Instead Senior Care, and I would recommend to anyone who wants to live at home in old age.

Home Instead has excellent leadership, coordination and carers. At all levels, they are proactive and responsive to Mum's changing needs. Caregivers are all sensitive, caring, fun and observant. If anything changes, we are always contacted by the team leader. Mum is very comfortable and trusting of
them, even though she is very vulnerable. 'Outstanding' is totally applicable! The care app keeps us in touch daily if necessary, so we can measure things too.

Home Instead has been looking after my father-in-law for over two and a half years and have been extremely helpful and empathetic throughout, whilst remaining professional. They have also been very helpful in guiding us through when father-in-law needed more care, and his eventual move into residential
care this month. Exceptional staff who built up excellent relations with ourselves and father-in-law.

I have been using Home Instead Senior Care for the past two years to care for my 86 year old mother.
During this time, I have never had any complaints.
They are so helpful, caring and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. They provide an excellent service. The caregivers are a dedicated and knowledgeable
team. Who my mother trusts, it is a truly caring company.

Home Instead have provided caregivers for 3 years to support my wife with a variety of activities in addition to significant amounts of personal care. There are currently 2 regular caregivers providing 11 hours between them, Monday to Friday each week. The care, kindness and patience towards someone
in the later stages of dementia is enormous. Routine is vital, so is engaging in activity, talking about all kinds of things, even when there is little or no response. I cannot speak too highly of the quality of care and personal support for both of us.
