I had three different caregivers at first and was not very happy at having to explain everything to them. However, as things settled down I realised that I would have no more than these three people. As time went on, the two main caregivers got better as they got to know where things are.

Home Instead provided daily care to my parents when they could be cared for with a care package and now they provide backup/relief care to the live-in carer. They provided a professional, yet caring service to my parents and provide care at very short notice in most instances. I would recommend their
service.

Several years ago, I had the help of Home Instead Senior Care (Clacton, Frinton & Walton) when I fractured my wrist. As I found them so helpful then, my son and I decided it would be best for me to ask them to come when I needed help again. This has worked out well even though our caregiver ladies have
all changed over the years. I was initially recommended to approach Home Instead Senior Care (Clacton, Frinton & Walton) by the hospital.

We have been using their home care services for a few months and pleased to have the continuity of the same carer. Minor problems with invoicing were sorted out quickly. Having used other agencies, am pleased to be able to recommend Home Instead as one of the better ones.

The carers who have cared for my mum and dad have been brilliant.

Always polite and happy to do whatever jobs need doing. They have gone far and beyond what I had expected, even with a call from me at 11.30pm at night saying they needed assistance, and a carer went and dealt with the situation

and then rang me to update me that everything was ok.

I am very happy to recommend them as a brilliant care service.

All the team at Home Instead from the office staff to the caregivers have provided excellent care and support to both my parents over the last few years. They have been really flexible in their approach and accommodating of frequent changes as circumstances and needs change. My parents have both been
really happy with the Caregivers and the continuity of care that they have received. The staff all go over and above and become part of an extended family. Communication is good between the Caregivers and they are sensitive to the needs of the client and trained in dealing with the challenges of dealing with dementia. We are really happy with the service they provide.

My mother was looked after by Home Instead for six months. Oh my goodness, what a wonderful company. The caregivers were a small team who got to know my mum well. Mum was treated with gentleness, kindness and respect. The caregivers were lovely and did a difficult job with great efficiency. I was always
consulted if there was a worry or a problem and always kept informed. The office staff were exemplary. At no time was I ever treated with anything other than cheerful helpfulness to do whatever could be done for myself and for my mum. Because I live a great distance from my mum I was very reliant on the Home Instead team. They never failed me. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They organised everything from clothes washing to contacting Doctor and Emergency Services when needed. The bathroom and kitchen were always spotless. I hope when my turn comes I will be lucky enough to find care of this quality. I shall always remember the Home Instead team with great gratitude.

Be aware of Home Instead Senior Care. Carers are magnificent. The owner and scheduler let them down, such a shame!

Reply from Jean Allen, Owner/Director at Home Instead (Clacton, Frinton & Walton)

The office team have worked hard to support our client but scheduling difficulties due to caregiver illnesses led to this dissatisfaction.

Home Instead always let me know when they are going to take me out. They are very nice and always get me to where I am going on time. I enjoy my outings with them. If for some reason an outing is off they telephone me. I always know about my future outings so I can plan around them or cancel them if
I have to. All the outings I have with Home Instead are relaxing and enjoyable.
