Bluebird Care has always been fantastic in caring for my parents. However, during the pandemic, we honestly could not have managed without them. They turned an extremely frightening and difficult time around. They managed to support not only my parents but myself (who was shielding 100 miles away and
extremely worried and totally helpless). Bluebird Care is reliable, caring, professional, discrete, and proactive. After years of fighting against getting carers to help, my parents actually look forward to their visits. I would definitely recommend Bluebird Care to friends and family.

The staff is very helpful. If I have a problem with anything, one phone call and they sort it. Very pleased with the results.

The manager of Bluebird Care Watford & Three Rivers very quickly assessed my mother's caring needs and helped us to develop a Care Programme which was quickly implemented. From the outset the carers have always been friendly and understanding of my mother's needs and limitations, performing their duties
in a very professional, dedicated and caring manner. Mother looks forward to their visits and conversation, which stimulates her mind/helps her get through the day. Excellent service is being provided by all personnel at Bluebird and I would not hesitate to recommend this care provider.

The service received was first-class, my mothers permanent carer (live-in) was fantastic, kind, patient and fun. The manager was always available, flexible, responsive and understanding and gave great advice as well as being very supportive to all of us. Nothing was too much trouble. She made our lives
so much easier, I can't recommend her highly enough.

Generally satisfactory assistance and presence. However, preparation of meals was timed appropriately although cooking appeared to be a problem - consisted mostly of fruit and salad. All in all ok but not for long term.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand from the manager that this was an emergency short term package of care. We appreciate your response.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.690 for Bluebird Care Watford & Three Rivers is calculated as follows: ( (30 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 42 Ratings = 4.69

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

I started working for Bluebird Care in 2013 as a care worker with no experience. Previous to this I was working in bars and cafés as a bar attender / kitchen assistant. My mother suffered with M.S and had carers visiting most of her adult life, right up until she passed away at a young age of 48, I felt care was a great industry for me to get involved in and wanted to be able to make a difference.

As soon as I started as a care worker, I felt the values of Bluebird Care were very close to my heart. Roughly a year later I had completed my level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care and was promoted to Care Supervisor. I really enjoyed being support for the team and our service users. I was in this role for around 5 years, after completing my level 3 in Health and Social Care, I was then promoted to Care Coordinator. Coordinating care is not an easy task but I feel the team responded well to me and saw me as a role model within the company.

Since May 2023 I have been Care Manager for both teams (Watford & Three Rivers and Chiltern & Dacorum) – receiving my registration in October 2023. I am currently completing my level 5 in leadership and management. I very much enjoy my role and challenges that come with it. I am always looking for ways to expand my professional development.

In my own time I enjoy reading a good thriller / mystery book and spending time with my family and friends.

I started working at Bluebird Care in September 2019 as the Care Coordinator.

I previously worked in a local primary school for over 10 years as a teaching assistant but once my own children left school, I decided it was a good time to change career and felt the care industry was the best move as this is something I have been interested in for many years. I enjoy meeting new people and like to help and support others.

My job role is varied at Bluebird Care and I have transferred my skills into this fulfilling role, I have a good telephone manor, am kind and considerate and a great problem solver. I have great organisational, and prioritisation skills and work well under pressure.

Bluebird Care is a great company to work for as they really do look after our customer’s every whim and our carers too. Everyone who works for the company have the customer’s best interests at heart and I am very proud to be a part of such a positive team.

I am a good communicator, have a good understanding of people’s needs, I am a good listener and have a ‘can do ‘attitude. I am very tech savvy and enjoy working with computer software and love a spreadsheet or 2.

My role working with a group of likeminded people gives me real job satisfaction.

In my spare time I love being with family and friends, reading mystery stories and going for long walks with the dogs.
