Carers are all nice people and interact well with their clients. Sometimes too much and we run out of time to complete some tasks. Very good at handling recycling and rubbish. Would like them to do more in tidying the kitchen instead of leaving it all to me. Again this is a question of timing/focussing.

I have always found Bluebird staff to be reliable and very professional in the services they provide. It is important to build a strong trust with those caring for loved family members and this is certainly the case with Bluebird. The carers are reliable and thorough in their duties and have become
friends to my Aunt. The level of care is extremely good and is much appreciated by the family. The office staff are equally efficient and friendly which makes dealing with them very easy. They do what they say they will do and always do their very best to assist. The management team also reflect these qualities and have been of great assistance, their expertise in the care of the elderly has been invaluable thank you. I would confidently recommend Bluebird to anyone in need of Home Care.

I cannot commend the Bluebird Care Croydon team highly enough. From my first call asking if they could help, through the care planning and on through the care visits everything has been handled with compassion, professionalism and understanding.
Everyone we have been involved with through the journey
has been a great ambassador for their team and gone the extra mile to make sure that my mum has received the very best care and attention. Well done Bluebird!

Although I was not used to a daily visit Bluebird Care worked out quite well while my daughter was away in Australia for 10 weeks. My carer was cheerful and encouraging and did several small household jobs for me ie. help with laundry, hoovering, recycling waste.

All aspects of care are very good and we are very satisfied.
Staff seem to have stabilised and this makes a lot of difference to our father who responds much better when visited by regular staff who he knows.

Mandy

Mandy Sparkes

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

Joined: 2012

Mandy joined Bluebird Care Croydon in July 2011 and brings with her many years of experience working in Health and Social Care. Her previous roles include Quality Assurance Officer and Compliance Officer. Mandy holds a certificate in Auditing for Compliance and has been responsible for ensuring the safe legal delivery of Residential and Domiciliary Care Services. This has resulted in excellent knowledge of the Care Standards Regulations, policies and procedures.


Mandy is responsible for managing all office staff, recruiting care workers and providing training. She holds an NVQ 2 in team leadership, a certificate in risk assessment and is a Manual Handling and Medication trainer. Many years in customer service and complaint management has made Mandy passionate about delivering the highest quality service to make a significant difference to people’s lives.


Mandy has twice been a finalist in the Great British Care Awards for Registered Home Care Manager of the Year 2012 and 2014.
