Funding & Fees Guide for Home Instead (Swansea & Carmarthenshire)

  • Prices
  • Our bespoke care packages prices start from £27 (reduced night fee) and range to £34 per hour, which includes having your own carefully matched and regular Care Professional to assist you with whatever you need.


    Our live-in care service starts at £1750 a week, based on a 7 day working week. The exact price is determined by the complexity of care required and your location.


  • Our calls are a minimum of 1-hour, as we believe that quality care takes time.
    You will be carefully matched to your own Care Professional, who you will then stay with, giving you continuity.


    The hourly rate will vary depending on the complexity and location of the care package. During your initial phone consultation, you will be given the exact prices for your bespoke personal plan.

I am very happy with the carers who have supported me with my rehabilitation following major surgery. They are friendly and helpful providing care with dignity and understanding. I am very glad I decided to have personal care once I was discharged from the hospital.

Very happy with the service that has been provided by Home Instead.
My mum was very reluctant to have a carer at first but now she really looks forward to her carer's visits and really likes her and enjoys her company.

Find the service very friendly, and adaptable to my brother-in-law's needs. Able to phone office and get help almost immediately, very understanding to clients needs, would recommend this service to others if asked. As my brother-in-law is now on his own, it is a comfort to know he is having contact
with someone reliable a few days a week. Nothing is too much trouble for the helper, and he is very satisfied with the service.

A superb service. My mother has been a client of Home Instead (Swansea) for about 3 months and is impressed with the standard of care she receives. The carers are willing and helpful - nothing is too much trouble - from doing some ironing to preparing a sandwich for lunch. Mum's needs are always uppermost.
The carers always arrive promptly and the office staff always keep the family informed of any changes to the rota.
Would definitely recommend Home Instead (Swansea).

I have been a client for about three months. Fiercely independent and very reluctant user, but the service provided has made a huge positive impact on my life. Carers are helpful and informed. From making coffee on a complicated machine to knowing what needs doing from day to day. Nice to see familiar
faces, but the machine works well during holidays too.

Mum has dementia (Alzheimer's) and is unable to do much for herself. As well as shorter visits from another care agency she has a two hour daily visit from Home Instead, which enables me to work.
The carers always do their best to ensure that Mum is safe, comfortable, fed and happy. They interact
with her and go above and beyond to treat her as I would, rather than just going through a tick list of tasks. They are also very good at noticing changes, issues etc and letting me know about them.
Office staff are always helpful and prompt.
Finding good care for a loved one is difficult but Home Instead genuinely help to take the pressure off me.

We were generally very happy with the level of care provided by Home Instead caregivers. Their input with my Mum has undoubtedly improved and strengthened her mental and physical health. When Home Instead started, Mum had been in bed for a couple of months after a fall, was hardly eating anything and
was too frail to walk. With their attention, care and support Mum is now eating more, getting up and dressed again and moving around the house with a frame. Communication was generally fine although we did have to chase up on invoices/statements etc which wasn't helpful. That said, we would definitely choose Home Instead again and recommend to others.

Without the unwavering support from Home Instead I would not have been able to care for him at home. The carers and office staff at Home Instead have always been professional, kind, caring and

Ben's motivation to begin operating in the care sector began following a poignant personal experience — witnessing the inadequate care available to his 98-year-old grandfather living with dementia, an area of expertise for Home Instead. Ben was most displeased by the task-oriented approach to care, as he strongly believed in the need to recognise clients as individuals and provide high-quality, compassionate care.


Motivated by a desire to redefine care standards, Ben established a Swansea branch of Home Instead. Here, the emphasis lies in person-centred care meticulously crafted to meet each client's unique needs and desires.

Lisa started with Home Instead Swansea as a Care Professional back in 2015, before progressing to join the office team as a scheduler.


With a vast understanding of elderly care, Lisa has gained invaluable expertise through a five-year dedication to supporting her grandad, who battled Vascular Dementia, followed by an additional eight years working within the care industry.


Lisa's journey began at Home Instead Swansea in 2015, where she joined us as a Care Professional. She swiftly progressed to become a scheduler within a year. Her entry into the care sector was not only professional but deeply personal. Kate's motivation stems from her first-hand experience assisting her parents in caring for her grandad, who battled Vascular Dementia. Witnessing the impact on her family highlighted the significance of quality care and Dementia awareness, leading her to choose Home Instead.


Within Home Instead Swansea, Kate's role encompasses diverse responsibilities, including Marketing, Community Engagement, and Recruitment. She cherishes the opportunities her position provides to explore Swansea, meet individuals from various backgrounds, and contribute to the community. Currently, Kate runs our Memory Cafe and Tech Course for Seniors. Excitingly, she has plans to expand our offerings by introducing a walking group in the near future.

Clive Cremin

Clive joined the Home Instead Swansea team in January 2022 as a General Manager with impressive experience.


Before working with Home Instead, Clive served in the Royal Air Force for over 20 years as an Operations and Logistics Manager. It was then he made the move into the care industry, as he excelled in his new role as a senior manager for a social care company in the Vale of Glamorgan.


Clive enjoys working closely with the Office team on finding creative ways to develop our approach to business, so we can stand out from the crowd and provide the highest quality of service and care for our valued clients.

Gemma Phillips

Gemma began her career as a hairdresser before realising she wanted to care for people on a deeper level. This led her to join Home Instead in the summer of 2022 as a Care Professional.


Gemma quickly settled into her new role, becoming a favourite among her regular clients. Her ability to learn quickly and perform well under pressure earned her a place on the On-Call Team, supporting our clients and Care Professionals on the 24-hour office helpline.

Jodie consistently sets high personal standards and ensures 100% compliance with legislation and policies for every task at hand.
