Home Instead specialises in the provision of quality care support at home for adults. Services are extremely flexible and range from help or a few hours a day to 24 hour care. They also provide a specialist services, which include Alzheimer’s and Dementia care. Through regular meetings and close contact with clients and their families they can provide unique on going care that adapts to any changing needs of the individual.

All caregivers are carefully selected, have enhanced CRB checks and are required to provide six references. An extensive training programme is undertaken, and they pride themselves on matching the needs of clients to the experiences, interests and personality of the caregivers.

A recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission found all compliance standards met to an excellent level.

Home Instead are fabulous caregivers. My father appears to be satisfied with the support he gets. If I need any extra days' support for my father Home Instead accommodate this. I would highly recommend them.

Your support has been invaluable particularly over this last year. All the carers have been most helpful, and pleasant and have got on well with my husband, who has Alzheimer's. Their willingness to do some housework has been a bonus to me, as I am having problems with my back.
My only complaint: please
send bills to me, and not my husband. I have requested this lots of times.

Home Instead provided super support over the last few months in helping care for my elderly mum-in-law. They helped to assess her needs, advised us and put us in touch with occupational therapists. Their staff were always caring and professional in their relationship with us and Mum. I would recommend
them to anyone with no hesitation.

Have used the service for about six years.
Carers come at scheduled times.
Some carers are better than others - carers will stay on, or arrange cover if there is a health issue.
Would be better if fewer carers provided the care as my mother's memory isn't as good as it was and she finds it difficult
with all the changes.

Needing help in an emergency when no other care provider was available I was lucky to find Home Instead. During the 6 months, I have been using this agency I have been pleased with their efficiency and the standard of care given by their employees.
My carers have been invariable on time, polite and
generally competent to provide the services required. They are also willing to learn and have assisted in my regaining confidence in my own mobility. I hope to soon to be able to resume independent living but would certainly use Home Instead again if I need help in the future.

At the moment I am not in need of much help - so far able to manage by myself. Once a week, I have a visit from a carer. She and I sometimes walk to the local shop if the weather is good if not, she will take me down in her care, most helpful with the shopping back we come all is put away, pots dried
and put into the cupboard. A pot of coffee for both of us and if time, a chat. How lovely.

I cannot speak too highly of this organisation. All personnel have treated me with kindness and respect and to my delight, the ideal caregiver was selected for me. We have shared interests and I look on her as a friend. The client journal is very comprehensive with plenty of information included for
the caregiver's benefit concerning relevant medical conditions.

The care is extremely good, very friendly carers and helpful. Very supportive to myself and my husband.
Hardworking carers, couldn't ask for more. The staff at the office need to get the timing right though for the carers that have to travel from client to client. They need extra time to travel like
for example. From Hazlegrove to Glossop can take approximately 45 mins and not 15 minutes. Traffic can get heavy.

My experience of using the service is good. I like my provider and the service she gives. She is likeable and good to have. She is thorough at cleaning and does what she is asked.
The office is not consistent with providing clear instructions to the girl that comes around, I have asked that I book
visits myself.

Our Mum was supported at home by Home Instead High Peak for a number of months. Despite grave illness and living alone, she remained cheerful and optimistic and we attribute this to the quality of care provided by the carers. The compassion shown not only to Mum but to her family was outstanding and
we are truly grateful. The professionalism was commented on repeatedly by other outside agencies involved in Mum's care. Home Instead actively sought information from all concerned in order to ensure that they were offering all that they could. The family were informed were informed at all stages of development which was invaluable as we all lived some distance away.

Looking after my 88-year-old mother with dementia has been the most challenging and difficult roles of my life and I simply couldn't have got through it without the help of the wonderful carers and admin staff from Home Instead who always did their utmost to provide the care we need as it's changed
over time.

My husband has had Parkinson's disease since 2008 and now needs someone with him except for short periods.
We have a carer one afternoon a week for 2 or 3 hours.
Our carer is male and undertakes activities with my husband - painting, walking, exercises etc.
We have been very happy with his caring
attitude.
Home Instead has been very efficient - noting all needs - medication, where to find essential services in the house etc.
All in all, it gives me peace of mind when I pursue my own activities.

When I meet you to structure your Care Plan, I listen carefully to what you need, what you want, what you worry about, and how you identify your desire to remain in your own home. My job, my goal, and my challenge, is to make certain that all the uncertainties are cleared up so you can make the right informed choices. It’s important that you never lose sleep over worries about how you are going to live and enjoy day to day routines and pleasures.
