Home Instead Cambridge provides tailored care & support to people within their own homes.

Home Instead was born from personal experiences with poor care, and Home Instead Cambridge has filtered down the company’s ethos to its teams of office staff and Care Professionals.

They regularly keep in touch with clients, be it a home visit or a telephone call, to make sure that they are more than satisfied with the service and to see if they can help in any other ways. They are proud to be a family business and their ethos and values are carried right the way through to Care Professionals.

The team of Care Professionals offer help around the home, shopping, trips out, meal preparation, personal care, support with medication and specialist dementia care, including Alzheimer's care at home.

Services are offered in central Cambridge, St Ives and all villages in South Cambs.

My mother enjoyed the company as well as the services provided by Home Instead.
She was able to continue independently with support, and the morning visits, in particular, set her up for a day of some form of activity or visits to/by her friends.
The caregivers were always so kind and she enjoyed
their attention and focus on her too.

Home Instead Senior Care (Cambridge) provided four carers over a period of two weeks to help my wife and I cope with the initial period of being discharged from hospital after major surgery. In my wife's care, this involved removal of an ovarian cyst, hysterectomy, removal of a section of the bowel
and repairs to the bladder, in my case it was a total replacement of one hip. All four carers provided help for us to get started each day and did this cheerfully and with sensitivity.

Over the past 5 years, this service continues to give us peace of mind that "all is taken care of" as agreed so that we can carry on our own daily life knowing that our family member is attended to in a proper manner by a carefully matched and reliable carer at times as set down. They are always helpful,
prompt, efficient and observant. We are very satisfied with the service we receive.

Carer was honest, trustworthy, reliable, age-appropriate and native English speaker. Quickly gained rapport and friendship of my elderly mother who had geographically relocated 200 miles away from where she formally lived. Was very patient and understanding to my mother's stroke affected language, which
wasn't always appropriate.
My mother liked to be taken out and about to local cafes and garden centres. She understood that my mother didn't want to talk all the time and sometimes companionable silence is OK too.
Team always kept me informed, responded to any requests promptly. I cannot praise them highly enough. You might have to pay slightly more but the added value was well worth the peace of mind. I employed another local care agency but Home Instead Senior Care was by far the best.

The kindness, efficiency and reliability of the support provided enabled my father-in-law to end his days at home as he wished. A very professional service that supported both client and family at a very stressful time; responding to crisis calmly which helped both enormously.
The Caregivers felt like
friends to us all as did the office staff and management. We are very grateful we used Home Instead. Thank you.

The carers from Home Instead are uncompromising the standard of care they provide. Over seven years, my mother had a variety of people to look after her, but continually was maintained other than for sickness and holidays.
Home Instead care is slightly more costly than many agencies but their service
is usually a cut above.
I am saddened that I rarely have contact with these kind, efficient and compassionate people who included even family members in their care, now that our beloved mother has died. Thank you does not cover it.

Generally very reliable, caring, considerate, friendly and efficient. Treated Mum with respect and compassion. Mostly the same carers in attendance which helps with their understanding of her in terms of needs and difficulties. One slightly vague and a bit 'wishy washy' in her attitude but still caring
and considerate. Overall a good service, reasonable costs, efficient office staff also. Would recommend to others.

A very comprehensive and professional service. Able to react at short notice to meet emergencies and always timely when responding to queries whether by phone or email. A wide range of staff to meet customer's needs. I would recommend Home Instead without hesitation.

Home Instead Cambridge have provided excellent morning personal care and evening meal preparation for my mother over the last 2 years. Very reliable (only completely missed one visit in 2 years) and good continuity of regular carers - a couple of carers have been visiting Mother throughout the 2 years.
6 monthly reviews, billing etc are all to a high standard.

Home Instead provided my mother with an excellent service. Her two carers were very good - they treated Mum with dignity and respect and helped her maintain her independence. The service they provided was caring and professional.
She enjoyed their company and appreciated the service they provided.
The office back up was good - they were responsive and flexible.
The initial assessment visit was thorough and sensitive as was the service review.

Outstanding. A totally excellent and professional service, with wonderful carers who we could trust to look after dad in a kind and dignified way. Everybody we dealt with more pleasant efficient and accommodating and the carers were well managed, informed and appropriate for dad. We were able to keep
him in this own home until the end.

Since my mother's death in 2015, my father needed extra care. The carer supplied by Home Instead was extremely good. Her rapport with my father proved ideal and he looked forward to her visits.

Home Instead have been a great care company in the year and a half we have been using them so far. The staff are very open, kind and helpful and seem to really care about their work. My mother has Alzheimer's and Home Instead have catered for her changing needs with ease. The carers also 'keep things
fresh' with new ideas for activities.
