I want to thank all the staff at the Barnet Home Carers Centre for their help. I got a grant for a microwave which I now have and this has really helped me at meal times to heat up food both for myself and my mother. I am really grateful for the help with completing the form and the help I was given
by the staff with the carers assessment and the staff were great from beginning to end, I do really want to say a big thanks to all. I will always contact Barnet Home Carers for any help or advice I need, they are really brilliant. Thanks again.

Barnet Home Carers support my brother-in-law who is 89 years old. Two carers visit him every Monday to Thursday.
My brother-in-law is happy with them. He says that the carers are kind and very caring about his needs. They listen to his requests and make sure that he eats well and is in a happy mood.

Very good carers company with good emergency backup. The manager is always very responsive and gets things done. Best agency I've used. Most important my dad feels safe with them looking after him and that means I sleep at night not having to worry as much.

Barnet Home Carers supports my father with 3/4 visits per day. The visits include offering companionship, going out for walks, assisting with cooking/cleaning/washing clothes, assisting with foot and skin care. I find the carers to be consistently helpful, patient, kind and considerate. The weekly schedule
is communicated clearly and the app used is very helpful for sharing information and updates. The team are flexible on scheduling changes (e.g., dropping him off at a friend's house, collecting him from a day centre) and always prepared to take on new tasks.
I find Barnet Home Carers easy to communicate with, by phone/email / 24-hour number. The team are kind to my dad and treat him with dignity and respect. They have got to know him and he has enjoyed developing relationships with all the different carers who visit him. They have been incredibly helpful in providing feedback, sharing ideas and offering support for us and my dad. We are really grateful to be in partnership with them.

The service provided is very good, the people that come to wash and dress my mum are very kind, caring and happy.
My mum is very confident with the staff as well.
Also, the people in the office are very supportive of my mum and me and also the carers.

The service givers are always punctual. The office is good at letting us know of any changes such as the person giving the care may be coming earlier or a change of carer on a particular shift. All carers are patient and helpful and very polite.

I contacted Barnet Home Carers to provide a carer for my parents with dementia. They came to our home to meet my parents and after careful consideration, suggested a carer. Barnet Home Carers have been looking after mum for several months. They give me the peace of mind to enable me to continue working part-time knowing she will be very well cared for in my absence. They are flexible, knowledgeable and well trained. My mother is partially sightly and has dementia and the
carers make sure she is stimulated and has fun. Most importantly, she loves them!

Donia Arnall

Job Title: Care Manager

Joined: 2001

Donia Arnall is the Care Manager. She started working as a carer for the organisation in 2001. In 2011 she became a care co-ordinator and then became Care Manager in 2014. Donia has a huge amount of experience knows the job from the bottom up. She brings all of that knowledge to our service every day. She is happy to work with the Team who are all long-standing members of staff who understand what is required to provide first-class care in the home. The Team is dedicated and committed to running the service, and they all still go out of the office and work closely with our service users and our care staff.

Geraldine Byrne

Job Title: Deputy Care Manager

Joined: 2008

Geraldine Byrne, our Deputy Care Manager started with us in 2008 as a Homecare Assistant, after being a Carer for her mother for many years. Moving on to care co-ordination and then to Deputy Manager of the service, Gerri brings a huge amount of experience and is responsible for much of the day to day running of the service.
