The personal service of Home Instead and the quality and professionalism of the careworkers was excellent. May not be the very cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

Home Instead has been providing services for my mother for over two years. Apart from sickness and holidays, it has been the same caregiver throughout and I cannot praise them enough. As well as practical help, the visits are stimulating and a social highlight. We are now increasing the service and
as I meet more caregivers, the same dedication is apparent. The schedulers and other admin staff are a pleasure to work with and equally show care and concern for my mother. We found Home Instead through a personal recommendation and I don't know how we could have coped through the pandemic without them. The professionalism of the entire team is outstanding.

I have been very impressed with the quality of service and efficiency of all aspects of Home Instead for well over a year. The careworker they provided, invariably the same one, was superb - very good feature.
My wife looked forward to her visits.
The admin staff answered phone calls immediately
- unusual in today's world, and dealt with any questions promptly. I was 100% delighted with Home Instead.

First-rate care for my elderly mother enabled her to stay in her own home until her death, which is what she always wanted. Wonderfully empathetic and experienced carers who worked with her dementia with great understanding and sympathy. I cannot speak too highly of this agency, not cheap but worth
every penny. They never once let us down and I bless the day a friend recommended them.

Reply from Paul Tame, Owner at Home Instead (Epsom & Mole Valley)

Thanks so much, it was an absolute pleasure seeing your mother, she will be missed by us all but especially the team that we matched to her.

The firm was extremely helpful and efficient when setting up the care we required. The care providers are friendly and reliable; they are very skilled, caring and imagination is given to the client and the service user. They provide an excellent combination of practical help and compassion. The company
support their staff and the care users equally and are always helpful to both.

I can't praise enough for the superb service offered by the people at Home Instead. They have transformed my life. The management gave a great deal of thought to matching client with carers; in my case (with my two different caregivers) they were triumphantly successful. The carers are thoughtful, stimulating,
flexible and endlessly kind. They go above and beyond and well beyond ordinary duties. When either of them comes through my door it never fails to lift my spirits. I live alone, so all that matters. I don't know what I'd do without Home Instead.

I first approached Home Instead 4 years ago when I was 90. I had led a very full and influential life with a large family, enormous house and outside interests and I knew it would be hard to 'give in' and seek the help I needed. My daughter had heard of Home Instead so I duly made enquiries and two
(?) people came to see me. It was essential that they could gauge my social standing and judge my standard of living.
They selected my carers to suit me (two regular and two stand-ins) and from day one, I have never looked back. They are just wonderful - caring, understanding and we are mutually fond of each other. I cannot fault the care and attention of 'Home Instead' and I thoroughly recommend it.

My wife had dementia diagnosed in 2017. My three children and I (87-years-old) were determined that she should be able to stay in her own home and familiar surroundings. She needed constant attention day and night because she wandered and fell out of bed. She frequently needed to be changed, showered
and tucked back in bed despite the hour. Home Instead provided carers five days a week in three hourly shifts to cover the whole range of support, ie getting my wife out of bed, shower, and into breakfast, dressing her and frequently changing her nightclothes and bed linen and washing these. Home Instead also provided two overnight carers to give me a break. Assisting me in planning, cooking meals and shopping, looking after my wife and taking her out in their car to local beauty shops, encouraging her to play her favourite hymns on the piano, and playing scrabble with her. They all loved her. From meeting her, until she died on 20th December 2020, from pneumonia and Covid (picked up during a week in hospital in December 2020), they cared for her as though she was their own. Two of these lovely ladies now care for me.

Home Instead have been an absolute lifeline during the last year especially. We as a family have been supported throughout with excellent care and amazing communication. During this time when letting people into your home has been fraught with difficulty and stress they have put our minds at rest. My
mother has been matched up with carers who match her own personality and they see her each week. Allowing relationships to develop and providing consistency and stability in an uncertain world. Thank you Home Instead.

Home Instead are wonderful looking after my elderly mother. The great thing about them is that they are able to take her out and about which she loves and is particularly important as she has just decided to stop driving. All the staff I have dealt with are caring, kind, attentive, punctual and professional.
They are a real asset to us in the ongoing care provision we need. Thank you!

I could not be more delighted with this service. My parents now have a 24 hr carer who is charming. She could not be more helpful. My parents are eating better than they have in a long while and have grown very fond of their carer. I would recommend this agency very highly.

Home Instead have been providing care for my 90-year-old father and his wife for just over a year now. They have 3 hours of care each day and are absolutely delighted with the care they receive. Home Instead have ensured that the same 3 caregivers look after my parents and each of the ladies who deliver
the care are absolutely wonderful. They help mum and dad shower and dress in the morning and give them their regular medication, additionally, they keep the house clean, do the laundry, the shopping and prepare a hot lunch each day. Before Home Instead started caring for mum and dad, my life was a constant worry of - are they OK and I was always whizzing over to check on them and take meals, my mind is now completely at rest knowing that every day there is someone there to look after them; it makes the time I spend with then far more enjoyable as I can spend quality time with them knowing the day to day stuff is well taken care of.

Home Instead have been supporting our son, who has physical and additional needs, for the last six years. He receives daily visits to provide support with cooking and household tasks, but also assist him to get out and about (when permitted) and socialise. All of the carers are matched to the client
and bring a wide range of talents to their job providing variety and fun! We have had experience of other agencies in the past but none have provided the consistently high quality of service he now receives. We feel supported as a family knowing that our son's needs are at the forefront of all the decisions made and that these will be client-led and backed up by excellent communication with management and the team in the office.

Home Instead Epsom cared for my 91-year-old friend for 2 years. I loved her so much and was determined to source the best for her. I certainly hit the jackpot. Such an amazing team, everyone working together to achieve flawless care, my friend was never let down in the 2 years she was with Home Instead.
I cannot thank them enough. Increasing care over time as her physical strength declined took the pressure off my shoulders. The communication from the office was top notch and the problem solving with the odd issue we had at our end...superb. Both myself and the recipient of the care had been involved in nurse training for years, so we naturally assessed the care given, it was in our blood! What a delight to see the professional skilled care she received from all her carers, delivered with empathy and kindness; those little things that made her feel so happy, safe and respected. Throughout the pandemic, they not only kept my friend safe but also helped to fill that void Covid caused by going that extra mile. Outstanding.

My nearly 91-year-old mother thoroughly enjoys her weekly 2 hour visits from her Home Instead companion. Essential housework is done which is a great help, and the two of them cook and eat lunch together. My mother loves the opportunity to have a meal with ‘a friend’, valuing the company and chat. Indeed
she looks forward to it. Companions are always well matched - the team in the office take great care about that. To date, they have all been excellent. I am impressed by the determination to keep up to date with any changes in my mother’s health, wellbeing and requirements. There is easy 2-way contact between those in the office and ‘us’, with any enquiries or requests responded to and dealt with immediately. For the moment, companionship is what my mother values and needs. However, if more help and support is required in the future, we as her family feel confident Home Instead will be able to provide it. That gives us enormous 'peace of mind’ which is invaluable.

We have always had excellent service from Home Instead which is particularly noticeable at Christmas. Dad's carers go beyond duty to ensure he has a good time. The caregivers really care. Everyone on the office side is also impressive and well organised. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead
and should the necessity arise would definitely use them again.

I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team at Home Instead, Epsom. They were caring for my 99-year-old mother who was blind, very deaf and increasingly less mobile. Mum had all her marbles but most of the rest had worn out. Over a six-week period, my mother had a total of six different carers. All
were fantastic; compassionate and experienced, quickly putting me at my ease. They taught me a lot as I was mum's carer at other times. They really looked after my welfare too. It was not unusual for a carer to stay an extra 15 minutes if it helped. The manager and schedulers just about kept pace with my increasing demand for care. The carers fitted in bits of vacuuming, washing and ironing. They made my groundhog day bearable by talking to me about their experiences of bereavement. I cannot thank them enough for facilitating my mother to be able to die with dignity in her own home. One carer had the sense to phone me when mum's breathing became suddenly shallow. I saw her pass peacefully.

Home Instead have been providing care for my daughter for approximately seven years. The care and support we have received have been faultless throughout, so much so that carers have become friends while remaining professional at every level. Can't recommend Home Instead highly enough.

Very impressed with Home Instead care, my mother needed some support coming out of hospital and Home Instead was recommended by another resident in her flats. I was really surprised with the lengths that the firm went to to get to know my Mum, her history, likes and dislikes, and their wish to match
her up with carers she would connect with. This all had to be done over the phone, in lockdown, where usually there are visits to get to know the clients. They could not have been more facilitating and patient, helping with the transfer from respite to care at home, then being available to amend the service as the situation changed. Accessing the family portal was easy and it gave me a chance to see how my mum really was every day. She has since said that the careers seemed more like friends, they did whatever she wanted and offered to do shopping, cooking, ironing etc. I could feel happy that she was in good hands. Unfortunately, I can’t name people here, but thank you all!
