The main focus of Home Instead Altrincham, Sale and Wythenshawe is to provide care that is tailor-made to the individual, realising that continuity of care is essential for the family and the individual themselves, as many families say it is their number one consideration by far.

At Home Instead you will be supported by a local team that is dedicated to delivering outstanding tailored care. They are able to support people at whatever stage of their care journey and with specialist knowledge and experience in health conditions such as Dementia, Stroke, Cancer, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Mental Health and Palliative care.

They also work closely with other specialists such as NHS community specialists, GPs pharmacists charities, faith organisations and many other local organisations. The aim is to provide as much independence as possible, where Care Professionals form strong trusted relationships and provide high quality companionship.

All Care Professionals are employed, DBS and reference checked and trained in-house, who are then comprehensively supported by the office care team. Home Instead's local approach enables people to stay safe and live well in their own home, being flexible and reactive where needed.

Home Instead provides Traditional Home Care services from 1 hour to 24 hours per day, enabling them to support you at whatever stage of your care at home journey.

Mum has had companionship visits from Home Instead about 2 years now, but as a result of her increasing needs, I recently had to ask for more help. I was very impressed by Home Instead’s responsiveness and the conscientious way in which both caregivers have supported mum. I feel very reassured by the
care we have received.

We have been delighted with the professionalism of this homecare provider. My mother in law was very reluctant to start with care but felt much more relaxed when she met the business owner and understood she could have the same carer for the same time period every Friday. She loved the fact that we
were asked to provide a brief summary of her life to try to get a good carer match and this turned out to be the case. She wanted a good listener and her carer fits this brief brilliantly!

Just to say a big thank you to the Home Instead Team in providing such attentive care and also for the kindness, which was shown to my late mum, over these past two years.
Communication was excellent and carers would update me regularly with their concerns if my mum was having a bad day/condition
worsened. The online portal to view the carers comments at each visit was a welcome update to the service and provided me with valuable insight on how she was daily.
The team also quickly adapted to my mum's changing needs, particularly in the last few months.
From my experience, I would highly recommend Home Instead and thank you, once again, to all the team in providing myself and my mum with much-needed care and support.

We have used Home Instead for the past 8 years and as a family have always been very impressed. As Dad’s needs have changed over the years, they have been able to adapt from help just with meals and laundry to full 24-hour care. We have found the management and office staff very approachable and quick
to provide solutions to changing circumstances or problems as they arise. Dad has a wonderful team of caregivers who are professional, respectful, cheerful and extremely caring. Dad has developed excellent relationships with them. Without Home Instead, Dad would not have been able to stay in his own home which is where he wants to be more than anywhere.

Mum was taken ill at the end of Feb 2020 and I was looking after her initially, however, I had to return home and back to work and I live remotely from mum (4 hours drive). Home Instead was quick to react for my request for care support and they have provided excellent care and support for my elderly
mum since the beginning of March 2020. Mum has thrived under the care she has received and is now well. At this current time, the care-givers are extremely careful at Mum's house, washing their hands, wearing gloves/ masks as appropriate, remaining at a safe distance etc.
It is a fine line between leaving an elderly person to fend for themselves completely or to have a friendly supporting presence to check they have taken their medicine, eaten and drunk during the day and to complete small tasks which pray on their minds. I have recommended Home Instead to my Canadian cousin who is looking for care at home for my mum's elder sister - keeping it in the family! Thank you Home Instead.

Home Instead have aided me with my independence despite my disability. The service is fantastic, very reliable and the best care company I have used within Trafford.
My care plan was very clearly set out, regarding my epilepsy and my carer adds to my quality of life, as she is so well matched to my
needs.
My weekly shopping trips are now fun and I couldn't ask for anything more from the company. Friendly staff, a very individually focused service and reliability.
The clocking in and out system on the home phone has made me feel safe from the start. Thank you Home Instead for helping me maintain my dignity and live a 'normal' life.

We enlisted the care from Home Instead Senior care in June 2016 following a diabolical run care organisation care for our 90 year old father. From the first day, we have found the company to be approachable, professional and caring. Dad has received excellent care and has formed strong bonds with his
carers. Regular meetings with his team leader has helped resolve issues promptly. It is with great sadness with failing health and eyesight the family has made the decision to move dad to a care home where nurses can attend to his medical needs promptly.

Home Instead Senior Care provides an excellent service twice weekly including showering my dad and support my mum to enable them to live comfortably in their own home. The lady who comes to them is friendly, professional and to quote my mum "a ray of sunshine". As a family, we cannot thank them enough.

Very occasionally there has been a muddle with the arrangements.
I need care 2-3 times a week, 1 for shopping, 2 for ironing, 3 for some more varied cooking.
The other carers are all kind, well-being and very helpful.

Alan and Lucy were both attracted to the ethos of Home Instead. We knew Home Instead was right for us after seeing how we could make a real difference, not only to an individual but importantly how we would be able to work alongside other charities and businesses to support our local senior community here in Trafford. We opened our doors back in 2010 and have been providing at-home care support ever since, touching the lives of over 1,000 clients and thousands more out in the community.


Alan’s role is to build relationships & look for opportunities for Home Instead to contribute to the local community whilst managing the business side of the company. “I am currently supporting the development of our community magazine, ‘Live Well, Your Way. With it, we can promote local activities, resources, and support groups around the community, enhancing the lives of our neighbourhoods.

Laura has worked in the care sector for around 15 years in a variety of different roles. Starting off as a weekend pantry assistant then assisting people living with dementia. Alongside this, Laura attended South Trafford College as a Health Care Cadet gaining 2 years of experience on the wards of Trafford General Hospital.
In 2020 Laura became the Registered Care Manager at Home Instead Altrincham with the support of our wonderful client team Karen, Suzanne, and Nicola.
