On the whole, my experience has been very good. However, early on, one young lady was unsatisfactory, after two visits I wrote in and said I did not want her to come again. On another occasion, I notified the office in good time to cancel a visit but this obviously did not get recorded and I was charged
for it, although I protested when I received the account. I wish you had means of setting up a direct debit rather than a standing order.

I am very rarely let down with care, even with covid being about. Whoever they are, are polite, caring and understanding. I have got to know quite a few of the carers. Some of them older and some of them younger. They are all without fail, excellent.

Bluebird Care in the Vale of Glamorgan has been providing care to my disabled mother for the past eight weeks. The care has been excellent. The carers are always on time and are all very kind and friendly to my elderly mother. They carry out their duties with a professional attitude. I have no hesitation
in recommending this agency.

While we are only a few weeks in, I really have to compliment the team. We had a home visit with a member of staff who went through everything and we were up and running extremely quickly. I have changed the schedule a few times while we find our feet, however, it appears nothing is too much trouble.
The girls going in while I haven't met them all are lovely and always on time. I have been notified extremely quickly if they feel there is something I should know and today arranged for the district nurse to visit my father-in-law as they noticed his dressing could do with changing. Logging on to see the comments from the carers is really helpful and I feel really reassured that both in-laws are being looked after and staff are just great at keeping in touch. I'm confident that as we go forward into the unknown the level of service we have had so far will continue. Thanks all.

Very good contact with the offices at Bluebird Care Cardiff South & The Vale of Glamorgan who provide good back-up and have easy contact with the carers if required. Timekeeping is good even in the recent bad weather conditions and the caring is never rushed. I'm always asked if there is anything more

Friendly staff, who were punctual and tidy and looked after my elderly parents three mornings a week. Getting my father out of bed and breakfast can be challenging at times, but the staff here did a great job. Would thoroughly recommend.

Bluebird has some great carers, whose care for mum was outstanding. Office staff are easily contacted and respond quickly to queries.
I have been hugely disappointed, however, by their inability to find carers with the experience and empathy essential to working with somebody with Dementia. They provided
a succession of unsuitable carers with little or no understanding of Dementia and then appeared to blame their failure on mum.
While I am sure that there are clients for whom Bluebird can provide good service, people with Dementia are a clientele who need greater expertise and experience.

Bluebird Care Cardiff South provided palliative care for my brother and can be best described as being excellent in providing this. The care provided was competent, compassionate, dignified and professional always. The care provided was not just to my brother but extended to the supporting family also.
This quality of care helped my brother and the family immeasurably, managing a most challenging time.

I was extremely grateful for the respite care. The carer looked after my partner very well despite the place being untidy when I returned, but that was no problem. He was well fed and kept very clean. I would definitely recommend Bluebird Care. I can't thank you enough for my 4 days away.

I had no direct contact with the organisation of the care. I really appreciated the daily updates we received from the carer. These updates were very reassuring as they showed she got to know dad and the type of care needed. I would definitely be happy to use Bluebird care company again.

Absolutely fantastic. My sisters and I have looked after our dad who has dementia for a 14 month period without a break. Bluebird looked after our dad for a whole week, night and day. We were very anxious about putting his care in the hands of someone else but we need not have worried. We had the break
we needed comfortable in the knowledge that dad was safe. The care and support dad had was excellent and the communications between Bluebird and ourselves were superb.

Really excellent professional service providing personal care for my dad. Also in teaching us his to day to day (non-professional) carers great mobility and contact with the supervisor who has liaised with the OT on our behalf and with useful additional support there. We feel supported and thus not

As the Responsible Individual for the service, it is my duty to oversee all regulated activity on-site and service management and ensure the service is run well and safely. To ensure that the service is compliant with service regulations and standards, to make sure that the service is managed and has the right resources to run the service as effectively as possible. I must also ensure that the business is financially sustainable.


All of these guidelines must be followed as per RISCA 2016.


It also imperative that I understand the respective roles and responsibilities of RIs and how managers complement each other. Working together we can achieve this.


Growth, reputation and development of the business is one of my main focus. Customer service and satisfaction is an area in which I am extremely compassionate. Care is a passion and driving excellence is a key factor in organizational management which I am keen to deliver.

Cerys Morgan

Job Title: Registered Manager

Cerys is responsible for the day-to-day running of the service maintaining the highest quality in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Her responsibilities are to monitor, record and ensure that all care staff have completed mandatory training, refresher training and additional training which will enhance the delivery of care to our customers. Cerys is dedicated to ensuring that we complete a weekly Quality Improvement plan so that we can all work as one team to deliver quality which is compliant and safe. She has worked in care for many years and has completed, amongst many other training certificates her Level 5 in Social and Health Care. Cerys is also our dedicated Mental Health First Aid trainer.

Emma Avis

Emma joined Bluebird Care in February 2015 having previously worked in supported living for people with Learning Disabilities. She initially started with us as a care worker and within six months was promoted to Care Supervisor. Emma is always on hand to provide advice and support to the supervisors in both Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. She manages her own team of care workers to ensure that we continue to provide a quality service. Emma is the first point of contact with both new and existing customers in the Vale of Glamorgan.


In her spare time, Emma enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Joanne Couch

Joined: 2019

Joanne worked in Care for 4 years before joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.


Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting several Customers and Care Assistants by carrying out regular supervision, spot checks, quality reviews etc.


Joanne has completed her QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Chloe has been working in care for the past 5 years and joined Bluebird Care in 2023. Chloe completed 2 years of a nursing degree, however after working in care decided that working in the care community sector was a better fit for her. Chloe’s family all live in West Wales, so Chloe spends her weekends visiting them as she has 7 siblings and 13 nieces & nephews, meaning she is always busy. But, as Chloe lives away from her family, she spends her time after work with her friends.

Sinead Grant

Joined: 2022

Sinead has been working in care for 6 years, and while working at Bluebird Care has worked her way through the ranks from carer to senior and is now one of our amazing care supervisors!


In Sinead's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.


Karen

Karen Razaq

Job Title: Finance Manager

Joined: 2021

Karen is our Payroll and Accounts Officer. Karen has worked in Accounts for many years and spent most of her career working in care joining us from another Care Provider this year. Although having a Masters Degree in Psychology, Karen is a stickler for diligence and accuracy. She has recently completed a qualification in Xero

Kim Matthews

Kim has worked in care since 2017 and enjoys every minute of it. Kim believes that working within a care sector you gain a lot of experience in all different aspects. Before this Kim worked within a childcare setting. Kim loves working within the care sector as she loves knowing she is making a difference to someone's quality of life and supporting them to remain living in their own home. Kim doesn't get a lot of spare time she is a mum of 3. It's a very busy life working full time with having 3 children and a husband. Nicola has worked for Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale for many years, she joined us in 2016 as a Carer in the community and has recently been promoted to Care Mentor due to her experience and professional attitude to both customers and staff.


Nicola is based in our Cowbridge office and has spent the last 6 months building our Hub to encourage the elderly and vulnerable people to socialise once more after the pandemic forced everyone to stay home.


Every Monday, Thursday and Friday Nicola runs a hub which encourages chat, games, music and singing. She serves tea, coffee and cake and the hub is free of charge.


Carey

Carey Pontin

Job Title: Care Mentor

Joined: 2015

Carey has worked for Bluebird Care for the last 8 years as a Care worker in the community.


She has worked most of her life in Care and has obtained her Level 5 in Health and Social Care. Carey is our Care Mentor and is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered to our customers in the way we expect and also completes Care Plan Reviews with customers.


Carey is also our Medication and Emergency First Aid trainer. Carey has a tremendous amount of training in care and always seeks perfection when it comes to quality.
