The care has excellent with the carers taking very good care of mum. Little things like baking, seeing and looking at mum's photo's means that mum feels that they care.

The full-time carers for my friend are loving, kind and understanding. She has dementia but they encourage her to make her own decisions as far as possible, allowing her the dignity of being herself in a home full of memories. It is very hard work but they do it well, 24 hours a day for a week at a
time. The family know she is in good hands.

I have been impressed with the Bluebird Care agency from the first contact made to make an appointment via telephone. The service was able to respond quickly and was very adaptable with a sudden change in circumstance. Since starting to care for my father, we have been impressed by the staff visiting.
My father has enjoyed having them and feels safe in their presence. The care supervisor has been very approachable and helpful with any queries and issues I have had. All in all, I highly recommend this service.

My mum, who has dementia, has recently commenced a live-in care arrangement with Bluebird. She has two carers who alternate living with her, one week on and one week off. Both carers are beyond excellent. They treat my mum as if she is a loved one and both carers and they become very attached to one
another. We could not have asked for more. It has taken the pressure off the family, just knowing that she is safe and as happy as she could be. We are able to read the carers' notes via an app, so always know what she has eaten or what they have been doing. Bluebird themselves are a professional but approachable agency. They monitor the situation closely and visit to ensure that things are going well. We could not ask for more.

Bluebird are very reliable and very friendly. They tried hard to ensure my mother-in-law has the same carers every day, where possible. They were easy to communicate with. They ensured COVID-safe visits and were generally, very punctual. My only complaint was that we were not always informed of issues
when they occurred - possibly carers could write in the visits folder, if necessary (and not just on their tablets).

The service provided by Bluebird Care is excellent. My husband's needs and my own as his carer were carefully assessed with close attention to special requirements. Then a very small group of carers were allotted so that we can really get to know each other. My husband is treated with kindness, dignity
and respect. He has settled down calmly to the caring routines and great trouble is taken to find stimulation for his amusement during my free time. I find it easy to ask for advice which is generously offered. I see Bluebird Care as a friendly highly skilled group of professionals really motivated to provide their clients with the finest care. They certainly help my husband to enjoy the best possible quality of life.

We moved to use Bluebird care following a negative experience with another provider. Bluebird Care have acted in a professional and caring approach at all times and are a complete contrast to our previous care provider. We were impressed in their approach and attitude from our very first 'virtual' meeting
and they really seem to adhere to the principle of putting the client first when planning ongoing care.
They communicate well with the relevant family members which has been really important during the lockdown and when you live a considerable distance from your relative.
They make the extra efforts to ensure their clients are well looked after and really try to take time to get to know them. The individual carers are backed up by a great management team, with whom we have complete confidence. Thank you.
I have no reservations in recommending Bluebird Care as a care provider.

Over a period of about 10-years, Bluebird provided the most dedicated professional yet friendly and cheerful care and support to my father. As the Responsible Individual for the service, it is my duty to oversee all regulated activity on-site and service management and ensure the service is run well and safely. To ensure that the service is compliant with service regulations and standards, to make sure that the service is managed and has the right resources to run the service as effectively as possible. I must also ensure that the business is financially sustainable.


All of these guidelines must be followed as per RISCA 2016.


It also imperative that I understand the respective roles and responsibilities of RIs and how managers complement each other. Working together we can achieve this.


Growth, reputation and development of the business is one of my main focus. Customer service and satisfaction is an area in which I am extremely compassionate. Care is a passion and driving excellence is a key factor in organizational management which I am keen to deliver.

Cerys Morgan

Cerys is responsible for the day-to-day running of the service maintaining the highest quality in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Her responsibilities are to monitor, record and ensure that all care staff have completed mandatory training, refresher training and additional training which will enhance the delivery of care to our customers. Cerys is dedicated to ensuring that we complete a weekly Quality Improvement plan so that we can all work as one team to deliver quality which is compliant and safe. Emma Avis

Emma joined Bluebird Care in February 2015 having previously worked in supported living for people with Learning Disabilities. She initially started with us as a care worker and within six months was promoted to Care Supervisor. Emma is always on hand to provide advice and support to the supervisors in both Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. She manages her own team of care workers to ensure that we continue to provide a quality service. Emma is the first point of contact with both new and existing customers in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Joanne worked in Care for 4 years before joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.


Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting several Customers and Care Assistants by carrying out regular supervision, spot checks, quality reviews etc.

Chloe has been working in care for the past 5 years and joined Bluebird Care in 2023. Chloe completed 2 years of a nursing degree, however after working in care decided that working in the care community sector was a better fit for her. Chloe’s family all live in West Wales, so Chloe spends her weekends visiting them as she has 7 siblings and 13 nieces & nephews, meaning she is always busy. But, as Chloe lives away from her family, she spends her time after work with her friends.

Sinead has been working in care for 6 years, and while working at Bluebird Care has worked her way through the ranks from carer to senior and is now one of our amazing care supervisors!


In Sinead's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Karen Razaq

Job Title: Finance Manager

Karen is our Payroll and Accounts Officer. Karen has worked in Accounts for many years and spent most of her career working in care joining us from another Care Provider this year. Although having a Masters Degree in Psychology, Karen is a stickler for diligence and accuracy. She has recently completed a qualification in Xero

Kim Matthews

Kim has worked in care since 2017 and enjoys every minute of it. Kim believes that working within a care sector you gain a lot of experience in all different aspects. Before this Kim worked within a childcare setting. Nicola has worked for Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale for many years, she joined us in 2016 as a Carer in the community and has recently been promoted to Care Mentor due to her experience and professional attitude to both customers and staff.


Nicola is based in our Cowbridge office and has spent the last 6 months building our Hub to encourage the elderly and vulnerable people to socialise once more after the pandemic forced everyone to stay home.


Every Monday, Thursday and Friday Nicola runs a hub which encourages chat, games, music and singing. She serves tea, coffee and cake and the hub is free of charge.


Carey

Carey Pontin

Job Title: Care Mentor

Joined: 2015

Carey has worked for Bluebird Care for the last 8 years as a Care worker in the community.


She has worked most of her life in Care and has obtained her Level 5 in Health and Social Care. Carey is our Care Mentor and is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered to our customers in the way we expect and also completes Care Plan Reviews with customers.


Carey is also our Medication and Emergency First Aid trainer. Carey has a tremendous amount of training in care and always seeks perfection when it comes to quality.
