As the first home care provider in the country to be rated 'Outstanding' three times in a row by the CQC (most recently December 2020), the Home Instead (Wimbledon and Kingston) office is very proudly owned by Clare Jefferies who herself struggled for five years to find the right sort of care for both her parents who were terminally ill.

Being a daughter and dealing with this first hand, gave her a clear understanding of the need for quality, compassionate care, which is flexible and built around the needs and aspirations of the client.

Many clients choose Home Instead because of the companionship-based care it provides where much effort is given towards matching the right care giver with each client and ensuring consistent service of each care giver with each client. Through this attention to detail, its caregivers often establish strong bonds with clients and clients' families and become valued companions.

Its care and support ranges from companionship to home help services and personal care through to specialised dementia care. It is recognised for the quality of Alzheimer's and dementia care and even has a City and Guilds accredited training programme that provides staff with the tools to provide the best care possible.

I couldn't recommend Home Instead more highly! They get 10/10 from us on every level. The office/support team have put together the perfect care package for my mother: they have exacting standards, are approachable and responsive to changing needs. My mother's trio of carers are wonderful: reliable,
friendly, caring and they dovetail with one another seamlessly.
Our experience of Home instead is that they go above and beyond 'what it says on the tin'. They exude a family feeling which is priceless and reassuring beyond measure. I have no hesitation in recommending their care and support which has given my mother everything she needs to continue living safely in her own home and her children peace of mind.

Home Instead are very accommodating with change of plans. Our carer is very quick at noticing things she can do - like wheelie bins on the right day. I'm very happy to have someone who is so willing and to chat when needed.

I met the owner of Home Instead (Kingston and Surbiton) eleven years ago at an event. I heard her story of how she came to be part of Home Instead. Her compassion, warmth, experience and integrity shone from her kind face. I took her contact details saying that I would recommend her and Home Instead
to anyone needing support at home and that, should my beloved mother ever require care, I would go to her and her alone. My mother has required care in her home for the past year and I have been overwhelmed by the kindness, gentleness and love that her two carers have shared with her. Both carers are exceptional, they combine compassion and empathy with an impeccable professionalism, efficiency and reliability. I cannot recommend Home Instead more highly or thank them enough for all the love and support they have given my mother, my husband and myself. Thank you.

My mother has Alzheimer’s, is 89 years old and lives at home with her husband who is 92. They are helped by a team of four carers who are superb and kind. They are always cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. They frequently go above and beyond and do little things that give my parents a lot of
pleasure. I wish I could name them since they deserve recognition for their services.

Home Instead (Wimbledon & Kingston) has been caring for my father since January 2018, and one of the original caregivers still visits him almost every day. The level of care provided is outstanding, both from the caregivers and from the team in the office. They have helped at every stage as my father
has gradually been less able to care for himself. They work with me and my father, constantly matching the level of care with what is required, often at short notice. They're all deeply caring and are always concerned for my father’s wellbeing and needs, quickly alerting me when there is a problem and working hard to resolve issues. While being utterly professional, the care team feel like family - sometimes even joining in the FaceTime calls I have with my father. During the pandemic, when I have been unable to visit, reassurance has been vital, and it's been important to have a team that I can have total confidence in. I’m very grateful to every one of them.

As I am unable to visit my relative regularly, as I live 200 miles away, it is reassuring to know that Home Instead, through its weekly visit, keeps an eye on my relative and keeps the house clean and hygienic. Communication with them is good, and it is obvious that my relative gets on well with his
helper who lends a sympathetic ear in these lonely times. My ratings of 'Good' are in fact very good, as I only rarely rate anything as 'Excellent'.

The Home Instead Carers go above and beyond. They are also managed particularly well! Its like night and day comparing them with other care companies! Worth paying a little more to have peace of mind, outstanding care and carers who actually 'care'!
My mother looks forward to seeing her carers, enjoys
talking with them and now trusts them. The carers do more than expected, for instance, they have bought my mother flowers, done her washing for her when her machine broke down and stay extra time when my mother needs help. All in all fantastic service from management and carers combined!

Home Instead have been providing a care service to my Father for almost a year, we previously used Home Instead for my Mother so had no hesitation in using them for my Father. The carers who look after my Father are both exceptional, showing kindness and compassion and look after his well-being, ensuring
he has taken his medication and how he is feeling on their visits.
I can see a difference in Dad since we have increased his hours during lockdown, the extra company has made a big difference to him and he looks forward to the visits.
I’m very impressed in the way the carers have been matched to Dad’s personality and his requirements. Also, in the way the office staff reacted so efficiently when we needed to increase Dad’s cover quickly to overnight hours for a few days when he was poorly. Regular management meetings are carried out and by using the App, details of visits are easily accessible. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough for anyone looking for home care.

Our Caregiver is marvellous. She mixes warmth with professionalism and we cannot praise her highly enough. She is respectful of and sensitive to my mother-in-law's increasing needs and difficulties whilst friendly, positive and optimistic at the same time. She communicates clearly with my mother-in-law
and with us as a family and we feel supported by her - I hope she also feels supported by us as we appreciate her so much. The staff member in the office has been very helpful with practical ways to deal with obstacles and we've installed equipment to keep my mother-in-law safe. Home Instead has been vital to her staying in her own home.

All the team at Home Instead (Wimbledon & Kingston) from the office management to the day time and night carers have shown admirable qualities in caring for a friend whose family are abroad and whose friends are unable to offer as much help as they would like due to the restrictions of the Covid pandemic.
All of them have shown kindness and compassion, shown true care and friendship even in a recent emergency where they pulled out all the stops to help her in need.
We have been most impressed that Home Instead went to such lengths to make sure that everyone involved in our friend's care were selected to match her personality and needs so that she could rely and depend upon them as if they were old friends.

The staff team have been exceptional over the past few weeks and I would highly recommend Home Instead, New Malden. They provide care and companionship for my aunt who lives on her own and requires various levels of care depending upon her current state of health. At the moment, my aunt is incredibly
unwell, requiring additional attention and support throughout the day. The team have been responsive, adapting to the various levels of needs and making changes at the very last moment, all whilst dealing with a pandemic - truly amazing. Having used Home Instead to provide a daily visit to my Mother to prepare an evening meal we found that following a stay in hospital we needed more visits. The office quickly and efficiency were able to increase the care to four visits per day.
All the carers were safely wearing PPE due to covid. They
were very kind to Mum and often went beyond the call of duty.
I would not hesitate to recommend their efficient and kind service.

Home Instead have been providing a carer service to my friend since the end of December 2019. The company was able to put this into place at very short notice and has continued to provide excellent service since then. My friend lives alone in a flat and the small team of ladies who look after her, visiting
twice a day, has been a lifeline providing assistance with dressing, laundry, cleaning, tidying and more recently with shopping and food preparation. They have also provided great companionship and got to know her and she enjoys hearing about their families. The management of the organisation is exemplary, with regular assesments and daily visit reports which can be viewed by myself and by members of her family overseas using an app. This enables any issues to be identified early and addressed. I heartily recommend the service.
