Mum has had "her ladies" from Home Instead Senior Care (Bolton) to look after her for just about 2 years. We are extremely happy that staff consistency is paramount and punctuality is extremely good. They all treat her as they would their own relatives and she says she loves them. Yes, it is an expensive
service but worth it for mum's happiness and our peace of mind.

Up until recently the 3 weekly visits have just happened. I don't mean that in any nasty way, it just worked like clockwork and if mum wanted the odd bit of shopping it was done without question or reference. Recently though due to my illness I have been unable to see her to take her to hospital or
key appointments so to have someone "drop into place" almost at a moments notice is, for someone someone who lives 270 miles from mum, a god send. Reliable, supportive and have become close friends with mum - 100% reliable people!

I live 365 miles away from my father and so am very reliant on the care that Home Instead provide. Recently as I was on the phone to my father he took not well and suffered a mini stroke. This was late evening. I immediately phoned the out of hours number and one of his regular carers was dispatched
immediately. My father was taken by ambulance and his carer stayed with him throughout. He was then released from the hospital at 11.30pm, so Home Instead stepped in once again and provided overnight care until I could be with him the next day.
They are a wonderful, helpful and caring company with compassion and understanding. I can't thank them enough for all they do.

I moved my aunts care from another firm as it made her dementia worse with many different carers and silly call times. The carers seemed overworked and underpaid, I felt sorry for them.
Home Instead is much better from the initial assessment visit to complete understanding and flexibility when my aunt
was recently in the hospital twice.
Carers are carefully matched to suit clients as far as possible and visits are on time with the same carers who got to know my aunt. She gets showered every morning and her modesty and dignity are respected -important as she was able to do this herself until recently and at the age of 95 it was a big change to cope with.
Not the cheapest on the market but it is the best. They don't do 15-minute flying visits, they have a proper training program for their staff and having chatted to carers all seem pleased with their employer and find it a good company to work for.
Having an ethical company was important to both my aunt and me.
I thoroughly recommend them.

Very happy with the way it was set up and organised by the service manager. Time was taken to match up carers, expertise and personalities to match my husband's needs. Carers were brought to our home to be introduced to all the family.
The management and communication skills of this agency are first
class. Although very efficient it is kept on a very friendly and approachable basis.

The only concern I had was over a short period there were changes to the carer provided but knew there is a limited number and I am happy with the continuity. As in all walks, some carers will be better or enjoy a better mutual reaction than others. However, there are some carers who have a truly excellent
relationship with super interaction and they are now permanent.
My wife is immobile/incontinent for over 2 years but due to the care provided, has never had any skin problems which was a great concern to me. I am also kept well informed by office staff/management.

Looking for a home care agency can be a minefield! Fortunately, Home Instead were recommended to us when we first realised we needed help in caring for our 92-year-old mother within her own home. What a godsend they have proved to be!


Both management and caregivers are professional, knowledgeable

and caring, and are giving us so much support in a difficult situation. They are always at the other end of the phone to offer advice and support and have treated our mother with care and dignity; she looks forward to their daily visits. We cannot thank them enough.

Have been using this agency for the past 6 months. Both parents are elderly and have dementia but do not want to go into a care home. Home Instead provide expert care in the home.
The staff are caring, knowledgeable and able to think laterally and take initiative.
As a family, we are delighted with
the service and especially the manager who is very reassuring and always happy to discuss care needs/worries etc.

We have been extremely impressed with the service. As soon as we called to ask for a visit, it was arranged immediately and the following day we had organised Home Instead to come once a week with the plan to increase when needed.


The carers (2 of which) were introduced to my parents and both have

been so professional, helpful, caring and always use their initiative. My mother enjoys their company and having them around to help her and chat with her. The follow-ups have been super.


We are all extremely impressed with Home Instead and all we have met throughout this occasion. It is a great peace of mind for me to have Home Instead support my friend. Thank you.

Very happy with the service provided. Management team took the time to visit and match my mother with a wonderful carer. Mum has the same carer unless she is on holiday/unavailable. New carers have been introduced by regular carer when necessary. Office staff are friendly and very helpful. We have been

My father has been in receipt of care twice a day for nearly 12 months now. As the son, I arranged the care on his behalf and from the very first meeting with the representatives from the company I have not been disappointed. The carers are lovely and caring and treat my dad with the respect he deserves
at the age of 94. The office contact me if there is anything I need to know about my fathers health and welfare. Ten out of ten!!

I looked on the internet for carers whose heart seemed to be in the job, as my vulnerability, having just had cancer and living with Parkinson's was getting me down.
What first attracted me was the name "Home Instead". I made an appointment and the manager came to see me. The carers have experienced
life and are compassionate, respectful and well-trained. I was surprised they didn't wear uniforms, being a great traditionalist, this is so that they are able to remain anonymous and give the impression of a friend popping in rather than an employee. I think the greatest asset is their system of shadowing i.e. a carer shadows another for the first visit so that the client has met the carer before she starts work.

After visiting my mother-in-law your representative managed to allay many of the worries associated with the elderly accepting care. A meeting was arranged so that the carer could meet the client. This helped immensely and took away any worries about strangers entering the clients home. My mother-in-law
now feels that she has made 9 new friends who genuinely cares about her welfare. Any fears of being cajoled into doing things against her will has disappeared. The family can relax knowing that remaining in her home does not mean being at risk. Anyone who feels wary about care in the home is reluctant to go to sheltered accommodation should contact this organisation.

I am Angela, Registered Manager and responsible for the overall care provided to our clients. I work closely with all the office team to ensure that we deliver the highest quality care for your family. I have worked at Home Instead Bolton since 2012.


After many years working in residential care, it was a breath of fresh air to meet clients in their own homes and see how their lives can be improved by excellent quality one to one care from our amazing CAREGivers.
