Funding & Fees Guide for Bluebird Care Cheshire West & Flintshire

  • Prices
  • Calls cost between £22.00 - £38.00 per homecare visit.
    Our Live In Care charges start at £1400 per week.


  • Our fees range depending on the length of the calls that are required. The fees are discussed at the initial enquiry stage. We believe that our fees are in line with other providers in our local area.
    We can deliver 15 minute calls through to 1 hour calls or more if required. Calls can be once a day or up to four times a day depending on the needs of the individual receiving the care. We also offer round the clock Live In Care as an alternative to moving into a Care Home.

I have been with Bluebird for about four weeks now - it took us over two years to get a care package. If this is what we ended up with, it's been worth the wait. They are spot on - all the staff I have met so far are great, friendly and polite; they arrive punctually and get the job done, and nothing
is too much trouble. Couldn't wish for a better company!

Mum needed help after her first hip operation and through a second and a broken femur, then continuing care. All the carers were friendly, caring, chatty and got on with mum well and got to know her needs and her likes and dislikes. My sister and I found them a support too, not just for caring for mum
so well but often with advice for us with mum's care and for a good chat too! The office staff were always friendly and helpful too and knowledgeable about different care needs and offered help and suggestions when needed.

The area of care is new to me so obtaining the process and information which suits my wife and myself has been difficult. The appointment of Bluebird has taken a considerable amount of pressure away. The staff are courteous, flexible and helpful with a high level of interpersonal skills. The organisation's
admin is also straightforward and helpful plus they are good communicators.

Bluebird Care has provided reliable, trustworthy care for a period of over three and a half years. At the start a detailed care plan was drawn up, this was regularly reviewed and updated as care needs changed. Carers quickly identify any issues and inform family and their team manager for advice and
support to achieve resolution. Bluebird has good working relationships with social services, occupational therapists district nurses and doctors and liaises as required. The phone line is always answered quickly by someone who knows the client and is able to give reassurance and resolve any problems quickly. Carers always have PPE and are very aware of infection control.

Mum was very well cared for by Bluebird staff, who treated her very much as an individual, responding specifically to her preferences and needs.

Working with Bluebird has been incredibly easy, and means that I can stop worrying about my father's situation. They were recommended as the best, and have proved themselves to be just that. The onboarding was fast and easy, and my father very quickly got used to the team. He now loves the visits.
I
am also especially impressed when the situation arose where we may have needed much more care for him, and although not ultimately needed, could have been set up so quickly and without any stress.


I cannot recommend them enough.

For all of April this year, I required someone to put on my hospital missed white anticlotting socks right up to the middle of May. This was done daily by the resident nurses, who were invariably efficient, capable, on time and very approachable.

My mother has been supported by Bluebird Care for several years due to partial vision and breaking a hip last year. The carers have always been very helpful and reliable. They are very friendly, and Mum loves chatting with them. At the same time, they are very professional and careful to follow all
the required medical guidance and health needs. They are easy to communicate with as is the office team, who always put Mum's needs first and are very flexible. Without a doubt, Bluebird has helped Mum to remain in her own home and enjoy life to the full. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other people.

We contacted Bluebird Care following a recommendation when my mother needed 24-hour care. The team were easy to contact, clear and professional and were able to put exactly the arrangements we needed in place within a week. The staff visited and met my mother and members of the family to carefully assess
her needs. The carer who joined the family, was calm, professional, patient and very caring. She in turn was well supported by the rest of the team at Bluebird. We could not have managed without them.

Bluebird has now provided carers for my mother for over five years. Initially, care was provided for only a few days each week to assist my mother when showering. As my mother's mobility decreased, the care package was increased to help her with dressing in the mornings. Over the last month, the package
has again been increased to twice daily visits in order that my mother is accompanied when dressing in the morning and undressing prior to bed. At all times the carers have been great with my mother, they take time with her and are happy to engage in conversation. In addition, I would also like to acknowledge the staff in the office, they are always happy to help in accomodating our requirements as well as offering help and guidance when situations have demanded. As such, I would have no hesitation in recommending, to anyone, the services Bluebird Care can provide.

Bluebird have attended my mum, weekdays for two years now. They are consistently attentive and sensitive to arisings, inevitable with older people. They always respond to arisings quickly. They show initiative to contact medics if required. My mum likes them.

Bluebird Care has been providing help for my husband for some time now. Everyone is really nice and helpful our regular carer, is so good with my husband and tries so hard to get him to go for a walk! He might yet surprise her and agree! Bluebird provided carers for my mum from October 2019, when she came out of hospital after a fall, until she died in November 2020.
Mum had always disliked the idea of having carers, but her experience with Bluebird changed her mind. The carers were more like friends to mum. They showed her such respect.
My brother and I were so grateful to Bluebird for all the care they gave mum in the last year of her life. I would recommend Bluebird to anyone.

I engaged the services of Bluebird for my mum in February 2020, up until she was admitted to hospital in May 2021.
Unfortunately mum now requires 24-hour care.
The initial interview with Bluebird was very comprehensive and made me feel confident in their service. They visited mum every Saturday
and Sunday at lunchtimes. The carers were always friendly, caring and professional. Any changes to mum's care plan were actioned in a timely manner and I was always able to contact Bluebird by telephone or email and received a prompt reply.
I would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird to anyone in need of extra care and support.

Rebecca joined Bluebird Care Autumn 2017 and came with lots of skills in management and leadership. She supports the growth of the business whilst also supporting the operational side too.  Rebecca enjoys meeting the customers whilst conducting reviews out in the community.  She is also keen on finding ways to engage with the local community and has developed links that have been beneficial to both carers and customers.


Rebecca is passionate about promoting career pathways linked to Health and Social Care and can quite often be found giving talks to local school and college pupils about opportunities available to them.


Rebecca is the Registered Manager for both England and Wales, ensuring all regulations are met for the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales.

Bluebird Care Cheshire West and Flintshire were established by Simon Robinson in 2010 with the goal of providing high-quality home care in people's own homes.
Simon's background in customer service management for retailers and banks has driven his desire to ensure that we constantly meet the customers' needs and expectations.  He has a passion for care and has built his business on his cornerstones of the business which are: QUALITY, SERVICE, VALUE and TRUST.


Bluebird Care Cheshire West and Flintshire services have grown and we are regularly requested to provide care for elderly customers, supporting learning disabilities and customers with physical disabilities.  We are currently working alongside private customers, Age UK, Cheshire West and Flintshire Social Services, Child and Adult Mental Health teams, insurance providers and local hospices.

Nerys joined the team as a Care Assistant back in February 2018 and has been promoted to being our valued Deputy Care Manager for Flintshire.  She supports our new carers out in the field ensuring they are competent in their roles and ensuring the customers are pleased with the care they are receiving.  Nerys also works closely with different professionals like Social Workers, District Nurses and such, to create person-centred care plans.  She also conducts reviews to ensure we are always meeting the needs of the customers.  Nerys is also a keen and talented cake baker and often is asked to bake special cakes for members of our team and sometimes for customers too.
