From the time my husband was in a terminal condition, until today, I have had support as and when necessary. Always from polite and caring people. I have nothing but gratitude and praise for their help.

My mum is looked after by a few different carers and they treat her with respect and kindness. They do exactly as I ask them to do if we have any specific requirements.
I have recommended bluebird to others.

I have only had the use of a Bluebird Care (Exeter) carer for 3 weeks on coming out of hospital after 2 and a half months. However, I feel I have known my carer for a long time. She is aware of my needs and my preferences and remembers them. This is very helpful to me - I am 87 years old. She is always
prompt, ready to please and a happy person to have around. (I never feel I have a stranger in the house). His standard of work is excellent.

Mum has had morning and evening carers from Bluebird Care for over 4 years. Mum and I have always been impressed and pleased with the quality of the care given and it has been crucial in enabling mum (who is 94) to continue to live an independent life in her own home. The carers are generally efficient,
friendly and managers have been accessible and efficient on the few occasions I've needed to contact them.

The standard of care given by Bluebird Care is very good.
However, this is not a complaint but an observation. I do think the company would improve its profile if it reverted to written daily worksheets, which were left at the property of the client. Medical professionals and relatives would then have
easy access to them which in my opinion and the clients is very important.
Stopping this practice and putting reports on mobile phones, I think was a backwards step.

Thank you for your positive review around the home care which we provide.

Bluebird Care’s aim it to be an outstanding home care company – and part of that is to innovate where we believe it will add real value to our customers.

The Pass System you refer to is an advanced tool which enables our whole home care team to manage our customer visits in real time and is highly recommended by the Care Quality Commission, who we are monitored by. The benefit of having the care notes of a customer, confidentially, available on-line through the OpenPass system means a customer’s entire team – including allied health professionals outside of Bluebird Care (such as GP’s, District Nurses and of course families), can view the notes at any time using the QR code.

However, please do not hesitate in contacting your Bluebird Care Supervisor if you would like to discuss this further and find ways in which we can provide you with the information when and how you would like it.

Thank you again for taking the time in giving us feedback.

The carers have carried out their care plan satisfactorily as laid down in request of the personal care of my wife.
Timekeeping has been very good.

I can not speak too highly of the care given by Bluebird staff. It is absolutely excellent. The only problem experienced by me is the time keeping. The carers are late almost every day by half to three-quarters of an hour and occasionally, if the traffic is bad, even later. This causes a lot of anxiety
when a hospital, doctors appointment etc has been arranged. It would seem that more staff are needed.

Very satisfied with care for my dad as it was difficult to persuade him he needed it.
Carers are always pleasant and he actually looks forward to their visits. Sometimes I feel they don't use their initiative enough if they have finished jobs asked of them, i.e. simple bit of tidying is sometimes necessary.
But generally, all of them are very good.

I have found the Bluebird carers to be pleasant, helpful, polite and thoughtful. They do not have to do anything hard or difficult for me but I do like things done properly. Some girls are better than others and some are more punctual, but on the whole, I am satisfied with the care I receive. I must
say that I think the charge of £135 for a sleep night is extortionate.

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
