Bluebird seems to be still having staffing problems; however, the carer is always in place for Mum.
Rota information has been very limited or not received over the last period.
Overall, very satisfied.

On the whole, I am very satisfied with the service given by Bluebird Care York. One issue however is that new carers do not receive enough training. They seem to shadow for a few days and then sent out. I find it very stressful to have a new person who I often haven't met. I then have to explain where
everything is and to be found and my routine. It seems to be hard for the carers too. It takes a long time and by the end, I feel tired and quite stressed. I do also feel sorry for the carriers, I would also like a schedule of carers which we used to get and any altered times. As I am an insulin-dependent diabetic who needs regular medication.

My wife was diagnosed with Motor neurone disease more than seven years ago. After four years, Bluebird was called in to help as she could no longer support her body weight even with a walking frame. She is now housebound and almost bed-bound. Her carers come four times a day (in tows) for the hoist.
They are always helpful, know their job and are discreet. Recently they took over the administration of her medication. I could not have survived as a 24hour carer without them, and I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to others.

We are glad to see the same faces over and over because mum now feels she knows them. When masks are no longer needed it will be better because she has difficulty hearing at the best of times. Really pleased we found you and will need more hours in the future.

This is the best care company in York. The carers really do care and go the extra mile in forming great relationships with clients and clients' families. My dad has complex needs and had been let down previously by 2 very bad care companies. What a relief and a difference to get Bluebird. From the beginning
of their care, there have been great improvements in my dad's quality of living. He is cared for to a very high standard but with a nurturing gentle approach. I often hear him laughing and joking with the carers and he happily looks forward to their calls. Even on dad's off days, they seem able to jolly him along lifting his mood. Dad is always clean and well-fed with all his needs met. As family members, we can rest easy knowing that he is in safe hands. Bluebird's communication is excellent so we feel involved and kept up to date about things. A great company with wonderful staff and management we feel lucky to have them for dad's care.

When the carers arrive they are always very friendly. They will ask me how I am. They will ask me what I would like. The carer will make me something to eat and drink. They wash up any pots. The carer will ask if there is anything else I can do, for example making the bed, opening and closing the curtains,
hoovering and washing floors.

Dad has been very down up to the point of changing to Bluebird Care. We are extremely grateful to the carers for making a positive difference to Dad's health and emotional well-being. He is so much better, happier and more talkative than he has been in such a long time. He struggles with anxiety at
times and the carers are managing this really well which is helping us positively as a family. It's just wonderful and we cannot thank you enough knowing our Dad's in safe hands whilst we are at work. The assessment was so personalised and caring we knew this was the right choice. Thank you.

We are most grateful for all the help my husband and myself receive from Bluebird. They are kind and efficient, thorough and versatile. They are always bright and cheerful and very sociable. He does not get many visitors. His male contemporaries are few - at 90 many have departed this life. The Bluebirds
more than make up for the lack of friends to visit him.
