Tracey is the founder of Assist and Care, setting up the company in 2010.
Her own experience of caring began at the age of just 15 when her mother was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour, Tracey cared for her mother throughout her life, she also cared for her father at home during his battle with cancer. Her Aunty with Dementia. Tracey gained first-hand experience of the lack of help that was available to the family during these times. The service that was provided was very generic and did not always meet the holistic needs of her loved ones or the rest of the family's needs Tracey decided after the death of her parents to take up a career in caring as it was something she felt extremely passionate about, determined that community care could be delivered to a high standard.
Tracey’s professional career as a carer included working in individual homes, nursing homes, hospitals and also with a local trust providing care for adults with learning disabilities, Tracey works with a holistic approach.
It is a personal mission for Tracey and her daughter Keera to provide the best care and helping hands. A lifelong passion to care for others with dignity and respect and always going the extra mile is at the heart of the company. Consequently, they have grown the business by introducing other key staff members.

Keera grew up spending many hours with her Grandparents, especially with her Grandma who was in a wheelchair. It became second nature for Keera to assist them whenever she could. This childhood experience motivated Keera to achieve a degree in Health and Social Care. Keera has worked alongside her Mother, Tracey at Assist and Care since 2014, not only bringing her organisation skills to the company but also her empathy, sensitivity and understanding that she learnt growing up and beyond helping others when needed.

Susan started her caring journey age just 19 when she cared for her grandmother in the final year of her life, as she felt the care provided lacked dignity and compassion.
In 2006 Sue's eldest son aged 15 was rushed into hospital with an acquired brain injury.
He spent 6 months in the hospital on life support machines. Sue was overjoyed to learn he would be going back home with her, however following his discharge there was little support from the health care system and what was available was inadequate and did not meet the family's needs.
Sue began working for a small domiciliary care company and her passion for care grew.
Wanting to challenge herself further she changed career direction and started working with children/ adults with complex needs.
Then she returned back to elderly care as this is where her heart is.
Sue loves working with older clients and admires their determination and strength and what a joy it is to listen to the stories they tell.
Sue says her dream and goal for the future is that every person receiving care is given the highest standard of care, moulded around their needs and wishes and not around the needs of a care system. Sue joined the company in May 2023, it is a pleasure to have her on our team. Although office based she enjoys regularly going out to meet and work with our clients.
