My carer is wonderful, he's very helpful and always brings me a paper. We have a good chat and he takes me for a walk in the garden where we chat about life and everything. We always have fun and a laugh.

The carers at Home Instead have meant the world to my parents - my father needed help with my mother's care and very reluctantly agreed for a carer. Initially, he was suspicious and upset at the intrusion into his home, but quickly realised what a difference it made to his quality of life.


Over

the past three years, my parents' home-care has increased from once a day to 24-hour care. Changes & transitions were handled wonderfully smoothly by Home Instead and from the very start, their main carer has been the most delightful person you could ever have looking after your loved ones:
Each carer brings their own personality into the house and my parents’ faces light up when they see each one walk through the door. I don’t know what we would have done without all the wonderful staff from Home Instead.

I am very satisfied with Home Instead Senior Care and their carers. They are always on time and if they are going to be late, they let me know. They are polite and treat me with respect. I have had a difficult time over the last few years with my very long term friend having to go into a care home.
One carer was particularly helpful when she found him on the floor after a stroke.

When at almost 93 years of age, I was stricken with a heart problem which restricted my mobility and confined me to my home. I felt mentally shattered, my home became increasingly untidy and very run down. The quality of my life was in free fall. Then, a near miracle occurred. A carer was appointed,
who with the strength of her personality, her experience and her work ethic, made my home sparkle with the orderliness which only properly maintained housework can bring about, but to me, the important thing is that I have regained my zest for life and my physical appearance now reflects the joy of a life anew!

From the beginning, we were impressed by Home Instead staff, who were kind, friendly and willing to work with us to ensure my father in laws care was personalised. Communicating with the office was easy and requests for changes or extra help responded to efficiently. Having a small dedicated team caring
for my father in law, was just what he needed and accepting carers allowed him to live at home alone for over a year. We found Home Instead via a new recommendation and we have no problems in recommending them to others seeking personalised care for a loved one.

My mum was looked after by carers from Home Instead Senior Care for a period of 10 months. During this time she had three falls and broke her hip, and later her kneecap. On the final occasion the carer found mum and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. Mum has dementia. Mum received the best
possible care from the carers at all times, without them she couldn't have spent another year in her home.

My care giver is a wonderful person who understands my mood and knows how to lift my spirits. The office staff are very helpful and go out of their way to help me. I would happily recommend Home Instead Senior Care to anyone, the service is excellent and the staff very friendly and professional.

Since joining Home Instead, I have gained a significant amount of experience in all aspects of the care industry, especially in carer recruitment and retention. I work in Tony and Ann Marie's team as a Care Co-Ordinator, supporting Ann Marie to ensure that our clients receive the best care possible, and quality carers are recruited, reference-checked and trained to the highest standards. I make sure all our clients are well-matched with their carers so they have regular care from the same person, allowing for positive relationships to grow. The close and constant liaison with both clients and caregivers is a hugely important part of my role and this personal contact is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

My family have always been very involved in the care industry and I have been brought up with an appreciation of the positive effects that good care has on people’s lives. My parents between them have over 65 years’ experience running residential homes and providing support to the elderly, and I really wanted to follow in their footsteps and specialise in providing quality care to senior citizens and those with physical and learning disabilities. Having been hospitalised after an accident some years ago, I required several months of home care and it was during this period that I realised the huge effect well trained, caring, compassionate and considerate carers can have on one’s emotional wellbeing, independence and quality of life. As a result of my experience I ensure that all our CAREGivers are highly trained, compassionate individuals whose focus is on delivering quality, dependable, personalised care to every one of our clients, every single day

After ten years of working in IT Procurement, I decided on a change of career and am delighted to now be working as part of the Home Instead Senior Care Team, learning from the care experiences of Tony and Anne Marie, and using this experience to help our customers



My role is to keep all aspects of administration in order and to ensure that our policies and procedures are fully compliant with the Care Quality Commission guidelines and best practices.


I also monitor the carer’s shifts ensuring they are on time and ringing clients and their families to let them know of any changes. I work hard to make sure that our customer’s enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently, keeping them fully updated on any matters related to them or their loved ones at all times.
