Carefound visited my Dad twice a day for just over a year after I was very unhappy with his previous provider. They were from the outset fantastic in every way, they got to know Dad they engaged with him, they were on time and I felt secure in the knowledge he was being fed and cared for at the right
time and that any problem would be flagged up to me quickly. It's very difficult to write this without naming names because there are names, the name of the girls who cared for my Dad, sometimes laughing with him and I got to hear about it from them and from reading the care plan notes in his flat, and from chatting on the phone.
Dad has now gone into full-time nursing care as his dementia has progressed, but he was able to stay in his flat a lot longer due mainly to the fantastic help we received.
We have moved on a stage now, but I will always remember the caring way that those girls looked after my dad like there own x

Carla

Carla Hainsworth

Job Title: Registered Branch Manager

Joined: 2012

I joined Carefound in 2012 as a Home Carer with no prior professional care experience, although I had supported elderly family members. In 2013, I won the Great British Care Awards for Yorkshire and Humberside in the Newcomer to Care category and went on to win the National Newcomer to Care award in 2014.


Following this, I progressed to a Senior Carer role after completing my Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and began working towards my Level 3 qualification. In 2017, I advanced to the role of Care Coordinator and subsequently became a Care Manager. I later undertook my Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, which I completed in 2021. That same year, I was highly commended at the Yorkshire and Humberside Great British Care Awards for Care Assessor of the Year.


I progressed to Deputy Branch Manager at the end of 2021 and was appointed as Registered Branch Manager in 2023, overseeing the Harrogate Branch.


Outside of work, I enjoy walking and competing with my horse. Recently, I won the Show Cob of the Year 2024 at the Horse of the Year Show.

I joined Carefound in 2021 after working as a Dental Nurse at an NHS practice for 11 years. I began my journey with Carefound as an hourly Carer, progressed to a Senior Carer a year later, and became a Care Manager in January 2023. I am currently working towards completing my Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management.


I thoroughly enjoy my role as a Care Manager, as no two days are ever the same. I value building relationships with clients, their loved ones, and other healthcare professionals, as I believe we can learn so much from one another.


When I am not at work, you'll likely find me outdoors with my children and two rescue dogs, exploring the local area

I joined Carefound in 2021 as an hourly carer, with no prior experience in the care sector, and quickly realised I had found a job I loved. For two years, I worked as an hourly carer, enjoying the opportunity to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues. I appreciated how much of a difference you can make in someone’s life through caring, and no two clients or visits were ever the same.


In 2023, I progressed to the senior team, where I continued to carry out visits while taking on additional responsibilities. By 2024, I advanced further to become a Care Manager, transitioning to a permanent office-based role.


Outside of work, we have a busy household with children and a dog, we are often involved in various sports activities for the kids. I also enjoy baking birthday cakes for friends and family.

I have been with Carefound for just over two years, initially starting as an hourly carer before progressing to my current role as Recruitment & Community Manager. I work with a fantastic team, and I thoroughly enjoy my job. It offers a lot of variety, with many different aspects to the role—from meeting new people during the recruitment process to organising coffee mornings and events.


I am very family-oriented and come from a large family, so when I'm not working, I spend my time with them, catching up with friends, and taking my 18-month-old Labrador, Charlie, out and about. I also support my partner in his various hobbies, with rallying being the biggest one.
