My aunt has been extremely happy with the carers who have supported her to stay at home. She had a very good rapport with each cater and nothing was too much trouble for them. She was very happy as they always arrived on time and never let her down. Overall we are extremely satisfied with the efficiency
of the care agency in setting up care at home and delivery was superb.

I have been a service user for many years with the same care company.
I find the ownership and management of the company excellent in that they are attentive to me personally and amenable to needs and adjustments on demand as necessary.
My designated primary carer is of sound quality and professional
in care duties and service.
The actual costs of the care service are very high relatively speaking.

We have experienced helpful, caring, mainly punctual (accidents do happen), reliable, friendly and entertaining representatives from Home Instead (Welwyn & Hatfield). We have had some of the usual health difficulties but we have never lacked for help, rapid service and adaptability to change. One of
us has enjoyed her long walks with coffee and cake at the end and I do not know what I would have done without your help, advice and repartee in addition to respite.
Now that circumstances are about to change once again I hope you will accept our sincere thanks for your company and presence in shared laughter and seriousness. Please thank everyone. We could not have asked for more. I hope I have not missed anyone out.

Staff interviewed me, sorted what I needed and put in place eight days later, she was very sympathetic to the painful position I was in after my accident. Staff in the office were always helpful.
I received personal care and help with some household tasks for a few weeks. I was very pleased indeed
with the help your staff gave me. They were always kind and helpful, doing what I needed. Protective of my arm, they were very "professional" and helped me through a difficult time.

My aunt has been using the Home Instead service for the past four months and I can honestly say that we are amazed how accepting she has been with this huge change in her life. There is one reason for that and it’s the care and attention she receives from the carers that visit her on a daily basis and
the efficiency and professionalism of the team behind the scenes. We, the family, live approximately four hours away so it was very important to us that the service provided gives us the reassurance of my aunt not only being looked after but also allowing her to live at home for as long as possible.

My dad has been having a care visit each day from Home Instead for several years now. Their policy of having a regular carer is great and the quality of care has been exceptional. My dad is fiercely independent and persuading him to let someone into his home in the first place was not easy, but the
professionalism of all the carers swiftly overcame that. He now looks on “his” carers as trusted friends and it gives me added peace of mind that someone else is also keeping an eye on him. I also like the way the manager pays regular visits to check that all is well with the service. Well done!
My only bugbear is that I understand that the charges are far higher for bank holidays, but that the staff do not get extra pay for these. They work so hard that I think this should be changed.

I was very impressed with the speed at which everything was organised.
I was impressed with the carer we had on a short term basis and that the same person came each day. This was very important as my mother has Alzheimer’s.
I was, however, very surprised at the cost. The hourly rate was more than
our other agency carer and much more than our private carer.

The service offered by Home Instead is absolutely amazing. The care for my 98-year-old father living on his own, 120 miles away from me is such that I do not worry about him at all and can ring them at any time to request further visits or to see to any medical issues. Recently, he has had a few hospital
visits incurring long hours by the carer in the waiting room and treatment rooms without much respite or any breaks. They take him to the shops and help in the home with light cleaning, laundry and changing sheets. So far, he is quite capable of making his own meals and getting up, washing and dressing, but I have no doubt that they would cover this should the need arise. They also ensure that his medication is collected from the local chemist. We have had two previous care companies and the outrageous charges and lack of care made it essential for us to change. This change has proved to be a huge success and my father is very happy and comfortable indeed.

Home Instead was recommended to me for my mum who was fighting to remain independent but was struggling with dementia and found the days quite long. The ladies came in for an hour a day to have a chat and a coffee with mum and even took her out sometimes to the local park for coffee (which she loved).
Mum loved the company and the fact that she would see someone every day when the family weren't able to visit and for us, it was reassurance that someone would see her daily and in effect, keep an eye on her.


Sadly Mum had to go into a home in November but Home Instead definitely gave her a few more months in her own home and I have since recommended them to friends of mine in a similar situation.

I am most grateful for the amazing care that was given to my mother over the last six months. I cannot fault the professionalism and compassion that not only the carers showed but also the office staff. They looked after my mother as a person and she enjoyed every one of their visits. I was contacted
immediately if there were any concerns as to my mother and they took the initative to contact the doctor and district nurse when necessary. So much so they are now looking after my father. I can totally recommend Home Instead Senior Care Welwyn & Hatfield. They always go the extra mile for which I thank them.
