Home Instead (Chesterfield) was established in 2011 and is rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (June 2019).

Home Instead (Chesterfield) is dedicated to providing high quality support services to adults in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas, supporting people to live comfortably in their own homes.

The Care Professionals are carefully chosen, and the company completes a full criminal record check before employment commences as well as collecting four references.

The Care Professionals are extensively trained, fully insured and are matched to the Client's preferences, needs and personality. Home Instead Clients each have a small team of Care Professionals who visit them regularly. This means the Care Professionals quickly get to know their Client's routines and how best to support them.

Care Professionals arrive and leave on time and are introduced to the Client by a member of the office team so you will never have a stranger arriving at the door.

Home Instead (Chesterfield) visits are a minimum of one hour up to 24 hours a day and support can include companionship, housekeeping, meal preparation, medication support, personal care, shopping, attending appointments, trips out into the community and more. Home Instead (Chesterfield) also provides a Live-In Care service where a Care Professional moves into the Clients home for an agreed period of time on a rota basis so they can provide companionship, personal care and practical support throughout the day.

In my experience of using Home Instead to care for my mum, I found this company to be very professional, well-led, reliable, organised and most of all caring! The admin staff were very thorough and quick with the care plan they made for my mum, coming out to do their assessment of the home layout and
detailing all necessary information of my mum's needs. Also, the manager personally came out initially to introduce herself and meet my mum so she could match her with two caregivers who turned out to be perfect in every way. They were both always punctual and very genuine caring ladies, who made me feel totally confident in the knowledge that I was leaving my mum in their capable and experienced hands, so I knew she was safe and well looked after at all times. I cannot recommend this company highly enough to anyone who needs any kind of care at home and they are truly worthy of the CQC overall 'outstanding' rating that they have been awarded.

From my very first contact with the Home Instead team, I have found them to be caring, professional, helpful and totally understanding. They listened to what we were looking for, offered suggestions and tried to find workable solutions to every need that my dad had. When circumstances have needed to
change, they have shown consideration and flexibility whenever possible which has been very much appreciated by both of us, helping to lessen any possible issues.

We have found Home Instead’s service to be professional and extremely caring. They are well organised and communicate with each other to ensure continuity of both care and housework tasks.
They are always on time and have been happy to take my mother-in-law on both hospital appointments and on social
visits locally.
We have always felt that she has been in safe hands even when we have been on holiday.
We can thoroughly recommend them and I would like to like to thank them all for all their help, care and understanding.

The manager and all of the Home Instead team were simply amazing with the care of my aunty during the last few weeks of her life. The team of carers were so kind and caring, nothing was ever to much trouble. Not only did they give my Aunty exceptional care, they ensured that my Uncle was well looked
after, they comforted him at difficult moments. The team worked well with the nurses to make sure she was as pain-free as possible, and there was no doubt in my mind she was in the best possible hands. I simply cannot recommend Home Instead enough, the whole process was as stress-free as possible and knowing that the team was on board put my mind at rest. Thank you again.

I’m generally happy with the service provided. The one issue we share is the charge for Bank Holidays. We agree staff should be on an enhanced rate, but not that fees are double.

The care service provided to my mother has been excellent. All the carers in her team have been friendly and caring and have contributed towards her being able to stay in her own home. The office has provided excellent support letting her know immediately if a carer has been delayed.

We have been having care from Home Instead for over a year now. The service is excellent - extremely personal and attentive. The caregivers are of high quality - they are all very kind, personable and understand the needs my parents have extremely well. The service provided can be very responsive and
flexible - so changing circumstances does not phase the staff. They are more than willing to try and accommodate any requests and to listen when the needs of my parents change and to provide the appropriate support for them. Communication is excellent and very timely. The support I have received personally has been wonderful - nothing but kindness, advice and a listening ear when things are getting tough!

Home Instead was recommended by a friend, so I felt I had nothing to lose by making a quick phone call. Not such a quick call as it turned out. Within ten minutes they ticked all my boxes and I knew I was talking to the right people. After an hour we set up a meeting, and the rest is history as they
say. It’s an absolute pleasure to deal with such professional, caring, trustworthy and kind people who go out of their way to help. They have given my aunt a new lease of life, which I cannot, thank them for enough. I would not hesitate in recommending the Chesterfield office to anyone with elderly or vulnerable family members who require the peace of mind, as I do, knowing their nearest and dearest are being well looked after in their own familiar surroundings.

My dad's caregivers are always punctual. They are friendly and helpful. As my dad's needs increase they always step up and deal with whatever he needs help with. He's a very proud man and had been fiercely independent so he's found it difficult to accept help.
The management and caregivers have dealt
with my dad very carefully so he always feels in control and therefore, happy to accept the care he needs.

Excellent service! After some initial reluctance from our parents Home Instead demonstrated their professional and caring support and quickly put together a care package with a carefully matched team of carers. They all, without exception, proved to be caring, courteous, using their initiative in the
home and certainly lived up to their ethos of “professional daughters”. Their support gave our family considerable comfort, knowing our parents were so well cared for. They went above and beyond our expectations when responding to a recent crisis and we cannot thank them enough. Well done team. Thank you.

We started using Home Instead Senior Care in Chesterfield last autumn (2017). We have been very impressed by the management and the team. The team are responsive, sensitive and clearly have experience of dealing with people with dementia. We have slowly increased the level of care and have worked with
Mum to ensure that she is not overwhelmed by the care team. Would definitely recommend the Home Instead Chesterfield team.

I am very pleased with the quality of care offered, and the capability of the carers. Everyone seems keen to help if there are emergencies or unexpected events. The carer on one occasion broke my husband's fall when he collapsed unconscious, holding him until I could get up the stairs to assist.

Great service. Required more help for my father. After initial meeting arranged for two carers to meet dad and see if they got on which they did. Gave Dad a folder with pictures of the two carers plus owner and senior so dad could check on who is who. Plus a section for diary notes for me to read and
check how visits have gone. Dad was apprehensive at first but gets on well with them and now looks forward to their visits. At the moment we have them coming in twice a week for 2 hours they help with light chores on one visit and shopping on the other day. They also sit and talk to dad over a cup of tea. Which to me is very important excellent service the carers are caring and show a willingness to accommodate any requests such as appointments to Dentist, Doctors etc.

I found all carers used by mother to be kind, helpful and professional. The company was also accommodating when I needed to make changes to the arrangements.
When my mother-in-law needed help, I didn't hesitate to use the same service for her.
