Home Instead Wetherby and North Leeds offer tailor-made home care and specialist dementia support to people living in their own homes.

Services including companionship, home help, personal care, medication support, postoperative, respite and rehabilitation, are personalised to the individual.

Specialist dementia and palliative care service work closely with local health care providers to enable non-medical support to reflect the individual’s needs and be of the highest quality.

Visits can be from one hour to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are provided by a team of professional CAREGivers who have undergone comprehensive training including City & Guilds accredited Alzheimer’s and dementia specialist training.

The CAREGivers are compassionate, skilled and trustworthy and the selection process ensures this as six references are obtained instead of the two required as an industry standard.

In addition, the CAREGivers have an enhanced (DBS) background check before they begin their employment.

CAREGivers are individually matched to clients on the basis of personality, interests and skills required.

The relationship of trust between the client and CAREGiver is fundamental to the provision of high-quality care so clients have a named CAREGiver at every visit.

On the first visit, a member of the management team will introduce the CAREGiver to the client and visits are arranged at a time convenient to the client.

The Management team makes regular quality assurance visits to ensure that the care being delivered matches the care plan. This ensures that they are able to react quickly to any change in clients circumstances or condition.

Have a look at the recommendations from clients and family members to see what people think and please do not hesitate to contact Home Instead Senior Care for further details and no obligation care consultation.

Having become less mobile in the last three years I appreciate the care and support I have received from Home Instead. I can call on any help I need such as extra care when returning home after time in hospital and a care home. I have got Parkinson's which is slowly getting worse but I know that I will
be looked after by Home Instead. I thank all the staff and carers for making my life easier.

Everyone that I encountered at Home Instead were lovely people, always happy to help all with friendly smiles, despite challenging circumstances. They were a great help to our family in my father's final weeks.
They handled my father with great dignity and for this, I am eternally grateful. We could
not have wished for a better outcome.

My cousin was looked after by Home Instead, Wetherby for over two years. I am her next of kin, but live one hundred miles away. I was pleased that my cousin was able to remain at home with the wonderful support of Home Instead who provided the high quality of care for my cousin. Their care was always
friendly, reassuring, professional and considerate. We always found the staff in the office approachable, helpful and understanding. My cousin was so fond of the staff, who became her friends. I am so grateful to Home Instead for their excellent care, enabling my cousin to stay in her own home, which was her wish.

From the first meeting, my husband and I found Home Instead Senior Care to be professional, sympathetic to our needs and most importantly, really approachable and friendly. The service was explained in great detail and we were made to feel we could phone for the smallest query. The entire staff were
really helpful and caring and we can't praise them enough.

Home Instead Wetherby took over care of my mother after a series of debilitating falls in the home. As I live 200 miles away, it was essential for me that she received care that was regular, punctual and exacting.
From the outset, and all the way through her care we received a personal and caring approach
from all in the CareGiver team. When things got harder after further falls and hospital, they were flexible and understanding.
It was also important to me that my mother, who was registered blind had regular voices - not a random selection of care. The bond and trust that was built up in this way was really special and very much valued.
She eventually passed away in a Nursing Home, but we would have continued to have regular CareGiver visits at the home had COVID not put pay to them.
In a world of complexity and anxiety over what care is the best or correct - I can rest assured that the attention received from Home Instead Wetherby was the best she could have.

Home Instead (Wetherby and North Leeds) is a top-notch provider of home care services. My mother received service from them for varying periods in the last few years and most recently several months 2019/2020 during which period we were very satisfied with the reliable and quality service from both
caregivers and office staff alike. Particularly impressive is their capacity to take on new clients at short notice and thereafter to cover all eventualities - seamlessly adjusting the level of service when required. It is a Rolls Royce operation which gives peace of mind to clients and their families and as such is worth every penny.

I have used Home Instead Senior Care for 7/8 years and cannot fault their service. They must choose their care staff very well. All these ladies have been cheerful, competent and patient in dealing with my wife. The office staff have been friendly and efficient. It has been a pleasure to deal with them
and I'm sorry circumstances have now changed and my wife has gone to full time care.

It was lovely to have the necessary nursing care that my husband needed straight from his hospital assessment. The alternative was care in a home while home care was sorted out. As he only lived the two months with his brain tumour and Parkinsons, we were so glad to have Home Instead who gently stepped
into the breach. Thank you so much.

All of the carers I had over a 3 month period were excellent, efficient, helpful and friendly. I have used this service on 2 previous occasions and have always found the company excellent, a life saver. The carers are the sort of people who become friends.

Carers are patient and treated with dignity.
Expensive for what they did but that is all she needed at the time. Never informed of extra charges at Bank Holidays and mileage charges.

Glad to hear that the service you received was good albeit you weren't with us long enough to get the full benefit of the Home Instead service and we were disappointed that pricing was misunderstood.

Home Instead provided outstanding support to my mother. They listened to her, made her feel good about herself and were very caring.

When my mother became frailer and began to fall they responded immediately, supporting not only my mother but myself during this stressful time.

I highly recommend

them.

I have received excellent care and help from my regular carer and am sorry to lose her. However I cannot agree with the new regime, the cost of home help being raised to £30 is not realistic. I am therefore leaving you at the end of June 2018. As I had a lot of care for my husband from 2011-2012 until
he died, I am sorry to be losing you.

Great to hear that you have enjoyed the service and it is a shame that we can't agree a programme to support you in the future. Sound management isn't always popular.

At first, mum was very sceptical about having home care and having strangers in her own home. She had always been independent.

The Home Instead Senior Care (Wetherby & North Leeds) were all very kind and considerate of her needs and went over and beyond to ensure her wellbeing. She became friends

with all of them and she really appreciated all the help they gave her to enable her to stay in her own home. They were all well motivated, trustworthy and caring. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for my own home care needs.

Job Title: Director

Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well-known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.

After experiencing the difficulty of finding high-quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.

Job Title: Care Manager

After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.

I recently moved into an office support role as a Care Coordinator, which has given me the opportunity to use all of my skills and knowledge to further support clients throughout their journey with Home Instead, by ensuring they receive the best person-centred care.

Job Title: Client Advisor

I have worked in the care my whole life - my first job at 14 years old was caring for those who need extra help. I took a break from care to try something different, raise my children and take care of ailing parents. However, care always called me back.

After settling for a few years after an international move with my two children from the United States to gap the distance to be with my husband, I started in care again with Home Instead. Now, two years on, I'm enjoying my new position as Client Advisor. In this role, I hope I can make your first steps into care at home more comfortable and eased.
