In the summer of 2016, mummy was hospitalised for an infection causing a deterioration in her mental capacity so she could no longer safely live at home; her Home Instead carer visited her in hospital in her own unpaid time. We were impressed and organised with Home Instead for the carer to visit mummy weekly at the care home. She sets up FaceTime so mummy gets to see our faces; she takes mummy out, reads to her and takes an interest in her wellbeing. I live 5 hrs away - this weekly update is invaluable.

Over 6 months HI has stepped up
All these scenarios with Dads care have been new to us and at each level HI has been able to guide us forward with Dovetail with all Dad's medical care, we have always felt confident with HI.
All the HI staff are brilliant in their approach to Dad, he has been able to take step by step, all the care and help he has needed, he says "I'm so lucky I only meet nice people" a testament to the HI ethos.

Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well-known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.
After experiencing the difficulty of finding high-quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.

I'm responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the business, from recruiting and training amazing CAREGivers to supporting clients and CAREGivers with great care schedules.

After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.

After working within the Health and Social Care Sector for over 10 years, it was the ethos of Home Instead Wetherby & North Leeds that really attracted me to becoming their newest Client Service Manager. Seeing the differences we are making in people's lives and creating opportunities to work within the care sector is what makes me proud.

Before joining Home Instead in 2021 as a CAREGiver, I previously worked in a variety of roles, from Branch Manager in a travel company to banking and education supporting children with learning difficulties. I applied to be a CAREGiver because I wanted to make a difference and support people in their own homes - my personal values reflect those of Home Instead.
I recently moved into an office support role as a Care Coordinator, which has given me the opportunity to use all of my skills and knowledge to further support clients throughout their journey with Home Instead, by ensuring they receive the best person-centred care.

I have worked in the care industry for over 28 years with different organisations. I began my journey with Home Instead over 6 years ago as a CAREGiver as I believe in the values and cultures of the company and wanted to be able to deliver high-quality person-centred care. I'm now our Care Professional Manager and ensure our Care Pros receive the best support in their roles.

I'm responsible for all Marketing and Networking activities across the business, from advertising locally to helping support more older people in their own homes, to sharing good news stories with the local press about our clients and the amazing work our CAREGivers do. I also manage community and client events and create activities or information to support our existing clients.

After graduating from university, I wanted to progress my career in an environment that felt rewarding. I assist Katie in our Marketing and Networking activities across the business, including executing local marketing campaigns. Before starting my career with Home Instead I was a Business Development Manager but joined as both a Community Representative and a CAREGiver, so I could make a difference in people’s lives, having previously nursed my mum who was living with dementia.

My career in the care sector began 12 years ago- I have 7 years of experience in care roles and 5 in recruitment behind me. During this time, I also developed my experience by completing up to Level 3 NVQ Health & Social Care. I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office as Recruitment Manager where I will ensure efficient recruitment of CAREGivers that best match our client's needs. I chose to join Home Instead as the company’s values and culture align with my own beliefs.

I started my career with Home Instead 8 years ago as a CAREGiver. I then progressed into new roles as admin support, Care Service Manager and now a Recruitment Manager. From working in a client focus previously, I am now focussing on recruiting new CAREGivers to join our busy team from our local communities so that we can continue to support clients in their own homes. I really enjoy working as part of the team and changing people’s lives through Home Instead

Before joining Home Instead, I trained as a hairdresser but became disillusioned. I first fell in love with caring as a personal assistant privately for four years, then trained with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I want to pass on my passion and experience in care to ensure our clients receive the care they need. Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit, reading and spending time with family.
Job Title: Onboarding Manager
I joined Home Instead four years ago as a CAREGiver which I absolutely loved and met some lovely clients and fellow CAREGivers along the way. It's been a pleasure helping to look after them. I have now moved into a support role as our Onboarding Manager which will see me support our new CAREGivers in their first 12 weeks and I hope that I can pass on my experience to ensure our clients receive the best possible care.

I have worked in the care my whole life - my first job at 14 years old was caring for those who need extra help. I took a break from care to try something different, raise my children and take care of ailing parents. However, care always called me back.
After settling for a few years after an international move with my two children from the United States to gap the distance to be with my husband, I started in care again with Home Instead. Now, two years on, I'm enjoying my new position as Client Advisor. In this role, I hope I can make your first steps into care at home more comfortable and eased.
