Heydays Care and Support Services is a private domiciliary care agency, founded in 2011 with the aim to provide a home care service that offered the highest standards of care and support to individuals within their own homes and in the community.

The two co-founders of the business began their careers in the care industry at an early age and between the two of them have over forty years of valuable knowledge, experience and qualifications from working within the care sector.

Heydays Care and Support Services is a forward-thinking domiciliary care agency that covers an extensive range of personal and domestic services which promote independent living for individuals requiring assistance and support in the comfort of their home.

The company aims to help all clients to lead as fulfilling a life as possible through delivering a high, professional standard of service and tailoring care packages to meet individual's needs. Heydays prioritise providing continuity of care to enable trusted friendships to blossom and a sense of value and belonging between all clients and staff members alike.

Heydays are registered with the CQC and have a rating of 'good' (December 2022).

Heydays are a preferred provider for Cumberland and Westmorland Council and within the NHS framework covering the Grange-Over-Sands and South Lakes area, and the Barrow-in-Furness area.

Heydays Headquarters and Training Centre is located in Barrow-in-Furness. The company has two branches, in Grange-Over-Sands and Barrow-in-Furness. The Grange branch covers surrounding villages such as Allithwaite, Cartmel, Cark, Flookburgh, Field Broughton, Newby Bridge, Witherslack, Heversham and Levens. The Barrow branch covers the Furness area.

All of our carers arrive promptly and carry out the required tasks efficiently and pleasantly; they converse well with my husband and also with me. I think that good communication is important and builds up a friendly, trusting relationship. The tasks range from assisting my husband to get out of bed
and to carry out washing and dressing daily, and to assist in the general run of the house - eg, drying, washing, cleaning floor and carpets, removing kitchen debris bagged up to outside bins so that the house remains clean and tidy for everyone's comfort.

Although the policy on washing up is to wash, dry and put away, I have asked the carers to leave them out on the worktop as I suffer from vertigo and cannot reach the high cupboards this has not always been done. Otherwise, I have found the care to be very good with some carers certainly going the extra
mile.

Heydays have provided daily home care for my brother-in-law to live independently and safely. They have taken great care to get the detail right for him and ensuring the continuity of care and to the staff that make up the team. Staff are all very kind and thoughtful in the care and socialising they
offer, this contributes greatly to his happiness and self-confidence.

The carers who visit to attend my gentle wife are all so good with her and understanding. She is one who never grumbles or complains but she has built up a wonderful friendship with all of them and looks forward to their most welcome visits. These people are second to none and nothing seems too much
for them with their work. They are now much like family to us now. No, they are our family now, or much better.

After being with several care agency's, I changed to Haydays after a recommendation, and I have to say that they have been incredible in taking care of me and my needs. They do their very best to give me the continuity I wish for, mostly, and the staff they place with me have the right personality that
I can get on with from the start without me feeling awkward. Also, my two daughters and friends comment on how great they all are with me. Very good.

Since I have been using the care service, it has taken a lot of weight off my shoulders. On the morning of each day I now have the carers each morning for 30 minutes. They get my wife up, showered, and dressed, which is a blessing. Every carer who visits is friendly and most of all efficient.
